Description

The invention relates to a connection and coupling system for mounting rail lights with mounting rail and a light carrier.

In particular, for the construction of lighting systems, lighting systems are used with continuous mounting rails, where light carrier with a plurality of arranged in a row bulbs, usually fluorescent lamps, are attached. While the DIN rails have lines for power supply, the light carriers are provided with all equipment necessary for the operation of the fluorescent lamps and / or other lamps and as far as complete wired. The wiring does not have to be made on site when building the light strip. Rather, it is desirable to be able to deliver the light strips preassembled and prewired in order to minimize the assembly work on site and to automate the luminaire assembly largely.

In addition to a neutral conductor and possibly a protective conductor, the DIN rails usually contain a plurality of phase conductors for supplying energy to the lamps. Both in order to achieve the most symmetrical network load, as well as to obtain as flicker-free or -armes light to avoid stroboscopic effects when lighting factory floors with moving machine parts, the bulbs of a light band should be connected in groups to different phase conductors. Although this is usually desired, it may also be necessary to provide an entire band of light only from a single phase conductor. In addition, it may be necessary to change the phase assignment of individual bulbs after some time. This, for example, when network loads change or changes are made to the illuminated by the light band device.

Both the mounting rail and the light carrier must be connected for reasons of electrical safety usually with a protective conductor. Here it depends on a high reliability and current carrying capacity. Connection and coupling systems, which establish an electrical connection between the cables of the mounting rail and the light carrier or the equipment mounted on it, must also take this requirement into account.

From the DE 196 04 222 A1 is a connection and coupling system known that largely meets this problem. To the connection and coupling system includes a to be fastened to the mounting rail box with sockets, which are provided with insulation displacement contacts for contacting the continuous lines. The socket contacts for the (three) phase lines are arranged in a row. In a parallel row, a socket contact for the neutral or neutral conductor and a socket contact for the protective conductor are arranged.

The cans are associated with a connector to be connected to the light carrier, which has a plurality of plug contacts. The plug contacts are formed by contact tongues, which are arranged in a housing section open on one side. They do not protrude from this housing section. At least one for tapping the voltage provided by a phase conductor plug contact tongue is mounted in a socket which is arranged laterally displaceable in the housing part open on one side. The plug-in contact tongue is provided at its end held in the socket with plug-in contacts, which allow the connection of lines.

For lateral displacement of the plug contact tongue, a suitable tool must be inserted into the plug housing, which can bring certain restrictions on handling with it. In addition, there may be difficulties in using the plug in automatic wiring systems in automatic luminaire mounting.

In addition, from the DE 43 12 778 A1 an electrical terminal device for a ballast known. The terminal device serves as a screwless terminal and has an insulating body, are fixedly mounted in the contact plates. These are provided with Einsteckkontaktbereichen as well as with insulation displacement contact areas.

This known electrical terminal device has advantages in the automatic wiring of the meeting on ballasts. However, it is not usable as a plug for a connection and coupling system, as is required with DIN rail lights.

From the CH-654696 A5 a device for holding and tapping a ribbon cable is known. To this device includes a Isolierstoffgehäuse in which a plurality of contact plates are held. Each contact plate has a U-shaped bent portion, the legs protrude as plug contact tongues in a space provided for receiving the plug and are accessible there. At the opposite end of each contact, insulation displacement contacts are formed which contact a ribbon cable as it is inserted into the connector housing and the connector housing is closed.

In addition, from the DE 41 27 899 A1 a plug-in device with phase selection known in the continuous lines stripped in a predetermined range stripped by a base part are taken. The stripped line section is in each case to be arranged behind a Einsteckfenster. The base part is associated with a plug with multiple spring contacts. These are arranged in finger-like Isolierstoffkörpern and each have two mutually resiliently biased flat springs. When inserting into the window provided for the Sokkelteils the contact springs spread over the respective bare conductor and contact it. At least one finger-shaped Isolierstoffteil is slidably disposed so that optionally different lines can be contacted.

The contact between spring contact and line depends heavily on the materials used and a sufficient spring force of the spring contacts. In addition, because of the necessary stripping the line sections the continuous lines lying line sections at the predetermined location a relatively high mounting wall required.

On this basis, it is an object of the invention to provide a suitable for automatic luminaire mounting connection and coupling system, in particular for mounting rail lights, which ensures reliable contact and is easy to handle.

This object is achieved with the connection and coupling system having the features of claim 1.

A significant feature of the novel connection and coupling system is in the light carrier side to be arranged connector, which is suitable for automatic luminaire wiring and allows easy handling an arbitrary phase selection. The plug has a housing section open on one side, in which the plug contact tongues are arranged. The housing portion is preferably formed so that the plug contact tongues do not protrude from this. It thus assumes a leadership function when Zusammenstekken the connection and coupling system before the plug contact tongues come into contact with the designated socket contacts. The plug contact tongues are thereby centrally inserted into the socket contacts, with damage or bending is largely excluded.

To connect lines that connect the plug contact tongues with electrical equipment, sockets and the like. On the light carrier to be mounted devices, outside of this housing portion of the connector housing connecting means are arranged. While the plug contact tongues are arranged relatively inaccessible in the interior of the housing portion, are the Connection means for further wiring at a readily accessible location outside the housing section, which is particularly important in terms of the automatic luminaire mounting. The connection means are rigidly connected to the plug contacts and displaceable together with them. This makes it possible to use the connection means as a handle for moving the plug contacts within the housing portion of the plug housing. If the plug contact for changing the assignment to the phase lines to be moved laterally, this can be done very easily by the fact that the external connection means are moved laterally by hand.

The connection means arranged outside the housing section containing the plug contacts is preferably an insulation displacement contact means. This is particularly suitable for automatic wiring. In particular, lines to be connected are not to be subjected to thrust, as is the case with plug-in contacts. The combination of laterally displaceable plug contacts with an insulating part, which projects with a portion to the outside, which can serve as a handle for displacement of the plug contact and as insulation for an insulation displacement contact disposed therein, is therefore considered to be particularly advantageous.

For the storage of the insulating part is preferably a sliding guide, which allows only a shift, but not a rotation or pivoting of the plug-in. Locking means provided in or on the insulating housing define latching positions in which the respective plug-in contact finds a corresponding socket contact during assembly of the connection and coupling system without being bent laterally. The latching means are preferably arranged in the immediate vicinity of serving as a handle outer part of the Isolierstoffsockels. This avoids that the Isolierstoffteil tilted during lateral adjustment.

Advantageously, the Isolierstoffteil for the plug contact to be formed that between the insulation displacement contact and the stationary plug housing a certain distance is present, which ensures sufficient accessibility of the insulation displacement contact. This is particularly important for plugs that are set up for automatic luminaire wiring. In the intermediate space between the insulation displacement contact and the remaining plug further connection devices, such as from below accessible plug-in contacts, may be provided.

The additional connection devices can be used, for example, to connect suppression capacitors or other equipment. The advantage lies in the fact that the externally accessible insulation displacement contacts remain free.

The plug contact may, if necessary, consist of several individual parts. Preferably, however, it is integrally formed from a sheet whose one end serves as a plug contact and the other end as an insulation displacement contact. In this case, the contact plate in question is preferably bent so that the insulation displacement contact and the Einsteckkontakt each other have parallel axes and are accessible from the same direction. This allows a luminaire mounting with already attached to a support (the light carrier) plug without this would have to be accessible from below.

The plug housing is preferably formed in two parts, wherein belonging to an upper plug part of the plug contacts housing housing portion. In these the sliding insulating parts are used. The plug is mounted by the thus formed Unit is placed on a lower base or plug part, whereby the insulating parts are held captive in the plug.

Beschreibung:Description:

While the plug 2 is fastened on a carrier element, which is illustrated only schematically in FIG. 1, for example, a light carrier 4, the can 3 is fastened with its base 5 to a carrier rail 6. The box 3, which also includes the base 5, is used for permanent contacting of lines 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 of a line bundle 12, which is guided over substantially the entire length of the mounting rail. While lines 7, 9 and 11 are phase lines, line 8 is a protective conductor and line 10 is a neutral or neutral.

The plug 2 schematically illustrated in Figure 1 is illustrated in Figures 2 and 3 on a larger scale. The plug 2 has a two-part, made of insulating plug housing 14, to which an upper plug part 15 and serving as a base lower plug part 16 belong. While the lower Stekkerteil is substantially formed as a flat rectangular plate with randseitigem spacer edges 17 and not further illustrated Sefestigungsmittel for mounting on the light carrier 4, the upper Stekkerteil 15 includes a housing portion 18 which is open on the side facing away from the lower connector part 16 side , The spacer edges 17 create between the light carrier 4 and the bottom formed by the plate of the plug part 16 a space for receiving smaller components.

The housing section 18 is divided by an intermediate wall 19 so far that two in plan view substantially rectangular internal spaces 21, 22 are divided. The interior space 21 accommodates at least one plug contact means 23 for the voltage pickup of a phase conductor. On the other hand the interior 22 22 two plug contact means 25, 26 for connecting the present on the light carrier 4 resources to the neutral conductor 10 and the protective conductor 8. If necessary, one or two further plug contact means 24 can be arranged in the interior 21. While the plug-in contact means 25, 26 for the neutral conductor 10 and the protective conductor 8 are arranged immovably, the plug contact means 23 and, if present, the plug contact means 24 are mounted laterally displaceable, as indicated in Figure 3 by arrows 27, 28.

The housing section 18 is closed in the region of its interior 22 to the plug part 16 with a bottom 29. This has two each of a collar 31, 32 surrounded slots 33, 34, through the apparent from Figure 1 or 2 plug contact tongues 36, 37 protrude.

By contrast, the housing section 18 is open in the region of its interior 21 to the plug part 16. From there two Isolierstoffteile 38, 39 are inserted into the Stekkergehäuse 14. The Isolierstoffteile 38, 39 are mutually completely identical, so that representative of both the insulating material 38 shown in Figures 4 and 5 and explained below. In Figures 2 and 3, the same reference numerals are used, which are provided for the insulating part 39 for distinguishing with an apostrophe.

The insulator part 38 (FIGS. 4 and 5) is an integrally formed plastic body which has a cuboidal section 41 provided for the interior 21 of the housing section 18. On its upper side, the portion 41 is provided with a collar 43 surrounding a slot 42, which serves to support a contact sheet 44 which is shown in FIG. 6 and which will be described later. From the rectangular portion 41, a web 46 extends away, which leads out of the interior 21 in the assembled state. The bridge 46 is with a section in the form of a substantially parallelepiped-shaped section 47 which serves to receive an insulation-displacement contact 48 formed on the contact plate 44.

The section 47 has a transverse, i. substantially parallel to the slot 42 extending groove-like passage 51, which is approximately centrally divided by two, each with a slot 52, 53 provided transverse walls 54, 55. Between the transverse walls 54, 55, a gap for receiving the insulation displacement contact 48 is formed. In the upper mouth region, the slots 52, 53 are provided with insertion bevels.

The spacing of the sections 41 and 47 of the insulating part 38 is dimensioned so that in the assembled state a distance of a few millimeters from the passage 51 to the adjacent wall of the housing section 18 is maintained. This allows the access of a laying finger of an automatic wiring system to the insulation displacement contact 48. In addition, this makes it better possible to use the portion 47 as a handle for the lateral displacement of the insulating part 38 in the connector 2. This distance also creates space for further connection means. In order to receive these and isolate them from the outside, a projection 57 facing the connector housing 18 may be provided on the section 47, defining a slot with the section 41. This is, in order to allow a latching of the insulating material 38 in different lateral positions, slightly wider than the thickness of the wall of the housing portion 18 corresponds. This is, as Figure 3 shows, at its the inner space 21 delimiting side provided with knobs or locking lugs 58, 59 which define the position of the insulating material 38, 39 in the lateral direction. If the insulating material 38, 39 laterally displaced, they overcome the lock of the locking lugs 58, 59, wherein the wall of the plug housing 18 resiliently evades.

For low-margin securing of Isolierstoffteile 38, 39 to the plug 2, the insulating material 38, 39 are provided on the portion 47 on the side facing away from the housing portion 18 side with a hook 61 which engages in a provided in the plug part 16 slot 62. This is particularly important with regard to the mounting of the plug 2 of importance. The hooks 61 initially allow the attachment of the insulating parts 38, 39 on the socket-like plug part 16, wherein the contact plate 44 is already inserted into the insulating part 38, 39. For complete assembly of the plug 2, only the plug part 15 is placed, which engages with corresponding latching means 63, 64, 65 in recesses of the plug part 16, whereby the plug 2 is fully assembled. In addition, the hooks 61 allow a stress of the insulation displacement contact on train, as it occurs when solving contacted lines.

As is apparent from Figures 3 and 4, the Isolierstoffteile 38, 39 are guided laterally by a linear guide, to which a formed in the plug part 16 groove 66 (FIG. 3) and formed on the underside of the respective insulating part 38, 39 projection 66 a belong (Figure 4).

In FIG. 6, the contact sheet 44 accommodated by the insulating material part 38, 39 is shown separately. Starting from a flat sheet metal blank, it has a section shown bent vertically upwards in FIG. 6, which forms a tongue 67. To increase the stability of the here relatively narrow contact strip is bent approximately centrally at a bending line 68 by 180 °, so that the tongue 67 is formed double-layered.

At the opposite end of the contact plate is bent with a relatively wide, but shorter, sheet metal section also upwards. The vertical in Figure 6 arranged leg 69 is bent at a bending line 71 by 180 °, so that the leg 69 is double-layered. Starting from the bending line 71, an insulation displacement slot 72 extends parallel to the insertion tongue 67 on a flat base portion 73 of the contact sheet. The contact plate 44 is formed so that the leg 69 extends substantially perpendicular to the direction of displacement (arrow 27), while the tongue 67 is aligned parallel to this direction, ie the bending line 71 intersects the direction of movement (arrow 27) at right angles during the Bend line 68 is parallel to the direction of movement. This ensures that even with a lateral displacement of already contacted insulation displacement contacts at most pressure or train are exerted on the lines connected in the insulation displacement contact, but not significant bending stresses arise. In addition, a good insensitivity to slight tolerances in the interaction between socket contact 91 and tongue 67 is achieved with the orientation of the tongue 67.

The base portion 73 is additionally provided with two male contacts 75, 76 formed by apertures having radially separating lines therefrom. As a result, a total of four resilient tongues 77, 78, 79, 80 are released at each plug-in contact 75, 76, which clamp an inserted conductor between one another.

On the plug part 15 of the plug 2 also one of the plug-in contact tongue 36 for the neutral or neutral conductor associated insulation displacement contact 81 is formed. The shape corresponds to the outside of the plug part 15 located portions of Isolierstoffteile 38, 39 so that the description applies accordingly. However, this contact is immovable. This ensures that by lateral displacement of individual Plug contacts only a phase selection but not a permutation of phase and zero taps is possible.

The to the connection and coupling system 1 associated box 3 is apparent from Figures 7 to 9. The can is formed by an insulating body 82 which has a total of six finger-like and mutually parallel from a base plate 83 extending away, each in plan view oval portions 84, 85, 86, 87, 88. In these sections socket contacts 91 (Figure 9) are arranged, which are each formed below the base plate 83 as insulation displacement contact 92, 93, 94, 95, 96. In this case, as shown in FIG. 8, the insulation displacement contacts 92, 94, 96 assigned to the phase conductors are arranged on a first line and the insulation displacement contacts 93, 94 are arranged in parallel on a second line. The position of the socket contacts 91 and the finger-like portions 84, 85, 86, 87, 88 corresponds to the respective position of the plug contact means 23, 24, 25, 26. On its upper side, each section 84 to 88 is provided with an insertion funnel 101 which a leading to the socket contact 91 feedthrough slot 102 leads.

The can 3 includes the base 5 serving as a base, which, as illustrated in FIG. 7, has two latching fingers 103, 104 arranged for connection to the carrier rail. Between these a trained in the manner of a pedestal centerpiece 105 is arranged, which has the insulation displacement contacts 92 to 96 associated webs 110 to 119, which are each slotted. In plan view, the pedestal-like portion 105 is formed symmetrically, so that when mounting on the support rail no preferred direction is observed. The webs 110 to 119 are slotted to receive the insulation displacement contacts 92 to 96.

Zur Abstützung an der Tragschiene dienen sich von der Grundplatte 83 weg erstreckende Anlagevorsprünge 131, 132, 133, 134.To connect the box 3 with the base 5 are formed on the box 3 locking tongues 121, 122, with Locking heads 123, 124 are provided. These locking openings 127 are assigned in the base 5. For support on the mounting rail are from the base plate 83 extending away investment projections 131, 132, 133, 134th

The connection and coupling system 1 described so far is used as follows:

The assembly of the light carrier 4 is made in advance. First, as shown in dashed lines in FIG. 1, a strip-shaped section 140 is bent out of the light carrier 4. This section 140 serves as a protective conductor contact and protrudes at right angles away from the light carrier 4. In order to avoid contact problems caused by lacquer layers, it may be particularly advantageous to manufacture the contact tongue (section 140) separately and to fasten it to the light carrier 4 or otherwise connect it to it.

First, now the plug 2 is mounted. For this purpose, the contact plate 44 is inserted into the insulating part 38, 39. Then the contact plate 44 placed in the insulating part 39. The assembly 38, 39 is then placed on the plug part 15. Subsequently, the plug part 16 is mounted on the module with the plug part 15.

In the next step, the plug part 16 is placed on the light carrier 4 and locked with this, wherein the strip-shaped portion 140 of the light carrier 4 projects at the slot 34 through the plug part 16. The Stekkerteil 16 can, as indicated schematically in Figure 1, with smaller resources, such as. Störschützkondensatoren 141, be provided. These have connecting wires, which can be guided in the space defined by the spacer edge 17 to the light carrier 4 towards the contact plates 44. During assembly, the stripped ends of the cable first protrude through one corresponding below the Isolierstoffteile 38, 39 provided in the plug part 16 slot 142 upwards.

While the plug contact tongues for the phase conductors 7, 9, 11 and for the neutral conductor 10 are formed by contact plates 44, the plug contact tongue 37 for the protective conductor is formed by the bent-up portion 140 of the light carrier 4. This leads to a minimization of the number of required contact points between the protective conductor and the light carrier, which benefits the electrical safety.

When mounting the mounting rail, for example, first the base 5 is attached to the mounting rail by the locking fingers 103, 104 are locked with corresponding continuous beads or other projections of the mounting rail. There are then the lines 7 to 11 inserted into corresponding recesses of the box 3. When placing the can 3 on the base 5, the insulation displacement contacts 92 to 96 intersect in the lines 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 a. If the socket 3 is locked to the base 5, the lines 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 are contacted. This can be done as part of a pre-assembly or on-site.

For the power supply of lighting units, especially in mounting rail lights for the construction of light bands, a connection and coupling system 1 is provided, with which the light carrier can be connected to the support rails provided electrical supply lines 8 to 11. To the coupling system 1 includes a plug 2 and a socket 3. The support rail side disposed box 3 has insulation displacement contacts for contacting the wires and socket contacts for the plug 2. The peculiarity of the plug 2 is located in at least one laterally displaceably arranged plug-in contact means 23, that arranged in the plug housing plug contact tongue 67 and one outside the Connector housing disposed insulation displacement contact 48 has. Both are formed by a contact plate 44, which is held in an insulating part 38. This takes up the insulation displacement contact 48 with a section 47. The portion 47 is arranged on the outside of the plug 2 so that it also serves as a handle for the lateral displacement of the plug contact 67.
