Il existe actuellement différentes possibilités de raccordement de puissance d'un disjoncteur basse tension par l'avant de l'appareil. On connaít en effet le raccordement à des câbles par l'intermédiaire de bornes, le raccordement à des barres ou le raccordement du type "déconnectable" à un conducteur rigide fixe.
Généralement, le passage d'un mode de raccordement à l'autre nécessite l'utilisation de pièces différentes. Par exemple, pour la fixation d'une plage de raccordement à une barre, il est nécessaire d'immobiliser les vis en rotation. L'une des solutions utilisées consiste à monter les vis dans des "clips" métalliques ou plaquettes isolantes fixés de manière amovible aux plages de raccordement. Après montage des barres sur les vis, celles-ci sont retenues sur les plages de raccordement par des écrous. Par contre, pour le raccordement à des câbles de puissance, une telle immobilisation des vis n'est pas nécessaire. Ces dernières sont montées à travers les plages par l'arrière de l'appareil et vissées directement dans les bornes montées à cet effet sur les plages de raccordement. Selon ces réalisations, les distances d'isolement sont assurées soit par un couvercle vissé sous l'appareil (dans le cas de l'utilisation d'un clips), soit par une forme et des dimensions appropriées de la plaquette précitée, lorsque celle-ci est utilisée.

Boítier destiné au logement d'un appareil électrique tel un disjoncteur et comportant, à l'une au moins de ses extrémités, des compartiments de borne dans lesquels sont logés respectivement des plages de raccordement et des moyens de fixation desdites plages à des conducteurs extérieurs tels une barre, un câble etc.,
caractérisé en ce que ces moyens comprennent, pour l'un au moins des compartiments précités (2), au moins une première ouverture (8) prévue dans le boítier (1), au moins une seconde ouverture (16) prévue dans la plage de raccordement (3) et située(s) en regard de la (des) première(s) ouverture(s) (8), et au moins une vis (7) traversant deux ouvertures en regard du boítier (1) et de la plage (3) pour assurer la fixation d'un conducteur (5, 11, 13) sur la plage de raccordement (3), ladite première ouverture (8) étant conformée de manière d'une part, à recevoir et à guider en rotation au moins une tête de vis (9, 10) de forme circulaire et d'autre part, à bloquer en rotation par rapport au boítier (1) au moins une tête de vis (11, 12) de forme appropriée non circulaire.
