Bei dieser Betriebsweise des Verdichters schwanken die am Verdampfer erreichten Temperaturen, beispielsweise zwischen +4° C in der Stehzeit des Verdichters und -25° C während seiner Betriebsphase, wobei die niedrigen Temperaturwerte am Verdampfer durch Temperatureinstellungen an einem die Kühlfachtemperatur steuernden Temperaturregler bedingt sind. Um die nach einer längeren Stehzeit des Verdichters zur Aufrechterhaltung der bestimmungsgemäßen Temperatur im Kältefach notwendigen tiefen Verdampfertemperaturen zu erreichen, muß der Verdichter auf seiner Saugseite relativ geringe Verdampfungsdrücke zum Verdampfen des in flüssiger Phase im Verdampfer vorliegenden Kältemittels erzeugen, wodurch der Wirkungsgrad des Kältemittelverdichters, d.h. seine Leistungsaufnahme in Form von elektrischer Energie und seine Leistungsabgabe in Form von Saugleistung deutlich herabgesetzt ist.
