- Method of coating spacing frames (2) for insulating glazing with adhesive or sealing compound, the spacing frames (2) having pegs and comprising hollow profile strips (5), having an inner face (6), two side faces (4) and an outer face, by means of a device having a conveyor which has a conveying belt (1), having nozzles provided on both sides of the conveying belt (1) for applying the adhesive or sealing compound on the side faces (4) of the spacing frame (2), having a support (3) provided above the conveying belt (1) for the parts of the spacing frame (2) which project upwardly from the conveying belt (1) and having pressure rollers (10), which pr ess the leg of the spacing frame (2) which is supported on the conveying belt (1) against the latter, and can be pivoted so as to abut against the leg which is supported on the conveying belt (1) and away from said leg, characterised in that the pressure rollers (10) are stepped rollers, the part (11) of which, with the smaller diameter in the region of the outer edge of the inner face (6), and the annular face (12) of which, orientated perpendicularly to the axis of rotation (13) of the respective pressure roller (10), abut on side faces (4) of the leg, supported on the conveying belt (1), of the hollow profile strip (5) which forms the spacing frame (2), in that the pressure rollers (10, 20) are mounted adjustably in the direction of their axes (13) and in that the spacing of the pressure rollers (10, 20) from the conveying belt (1) can be altered.
- Method according to claim 1, characterised in that two pressure rollers (10, 20) respectively are disposed situated opposite each other.
- Method according to claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the annular faces (12) contact the side faces (4) of the hollow profile strip (5) only in their region which is adjacent to the inner face (6).
