Description

The invention is based on a massage shower, with the help of one or more pulsating water jets can be generated.

It is already such a massage shower known (DE-A1 2911405). In this known massage shower the frequency of the pulsation of the pulsating water jets can be changed by the fact that the distance between a shutter member having a rotor and the jet disk can be changed. If the rotor with its closure plate rests directly on the jet disk, it is braked during the rotation. Now, if the jet disk is moved axially, so reduces the contact pressure of the rotor, which leads to an increase in the rotational speed and thus to an increase in the frequency of the pulsations. Finally, when the rotor disengages from the jet disk, the maximum frequency is reached. However, since here the distance between the closure element and the jet outlet openings changes, such adjustment also leads to a change in the characteristic of the beams, with increasing distance between the jet disk and soften the closure element. In addition, at the low frequency, a sliding friction between two parts, resulting in wear and tear.

There is already known a massage shower, in which a rotor is present to produce a pulsating water jet, the jet outlet openings alternately opens and closes. To change the frequency of the massage jet, the amount of water driving the rotor is achieved by a change in the cross section of the water jets.

Such a massage shower is also known from US-A-3,801,019.

The invention has for its object to provide a massage shower, which allows a simple structure, a change in the frequency of the pulsations of the at least one water jet.

To solve this problem, the invention proposes a massage shower with the features mentioned in claim 1. Further developments of the invention are the subject of subclaims, the wording of which is incorporated by reference into the content of the description.

In the previously known massage showers of course, the frequency of the rotor is dependent to some extent on the amount of water flowing into the shower water. The invention now proposes to form the means for changing the frequency such that it changes the frequency of the pulsation of the water jet without a change in the inflowing amount of water.

It is of course also conceivable to change the frequency of the pulsation of the pulsating water jets in that, as is also known in the prior art, a part of the water is passed to another jet outlet opening which does not generate a pulsating water jet. This can then also achieve a change in the pulsation by the water jet simply receives less water. The invention instead proposes to design the means for changing the frequency of the pulsation of the water jet so that it changes the frequency of the water jet without changing the amount of water of the pulsating water jet.

In a further development of the invention can be provided that in the massage shower the frequency of the pulsation is changed without changing the character of the pulsating water jet, d. h., That the water jet should maintain its hardness. Of course, it may also be possible to provide a separate means for changing the hardness of the water jet, but then working independently of the adjustment of the frequency.

The pulsating water jet is generated by the fact that the massage shower has a rotor provided with at least one wing, which is rotatably driven by a water flow and with a closure element, the jet outlet opening alternately opens and closes.

The drive flow for driving the rotor can be formed in a further development of the invention by at least one non-radial with respect to the axis of rotation of the rotor extending water jet. A radial jet of water would not provide torque to rotationally drive the rotor. In particular, the jet of water may be axial when the blades of the rotor are similar to a ship's propeller.

But it is also possible that the at least one jet of water in the plane of rotation of the rotor obliquely opposite to a radius to tangential.

In a further development of the invention can be provided that the rotary drive beams are formed by obliquely opposite to a radius with respect to the axis of rotation of the rotor extending slots. Of course, the slits all run obliquely in the same direction, since the beams generated thereby are supposed to drive the rotor.

To change the frequency of the pulsation of the water jet may be provided in a further development of the invention that the direction of the rotary drive beams can be changed. This can be effected, for example, by changing the direction of the slots.

According to the invention, the massage shower has a device for generating at least one drive jet which is less favorable in its drive torque. This is to be understood as meaning such a jet which generates a lower driving torque than the other rotary drive beams, in which case this less favorable drive beam can be switched on instead of the other or another rotary drive beam in order to change the frequency of the pulsation. The generation of a lower torque to reduce the frequency is generated without mechanical friction.

Er könnte also beispielsweise direkt in radialer Richtung verlaufen. In particular, it can be provided in a development of the invention that the less favorable drive jet generates no drive element at all. So he could, for example, run directly in the radial direction.

In a further development can also be provided that the less favorable drive jet generates a torque in the reverse direction of rotation. In this case it would be a real brake jet.

According to the present invention, the massage shower may have means for simultaneously changing the flow area of the rotary driving jets and the lower torque driving jets in the reverse sense. It can be provided in particular that the sum of the cross sections remains the same. In this way, a change in the frequency of the pulsations of the massage jet can be achieved without mechanical friction and without affecting the amount of escaping water.

Auch der äußere Teil 5 enthält Strahlaustrittsöffnungen 8.Fig. 1 shows greatly simplified schematically the shower head of a hand shower. A housing 1 is closed by the shower head. In the housing 1 is a water guide 2, which is passed through the handle of the shower and is in communication with a supply hose. From the water guide 2, the water can pass through two passages 3, 4 alternately to different shower facilities, depending on the position of a switching element. The shower head is closed by a jet disk 5, which is formed in two parts in the example shown, namely an outer annular jet disk element and an inner jet disk 6, the jet outlet openings 7 has. The outer part 5 also contains jet outlet openings 8.

The middle jet disk 6 has the shape of a flat bottom with a cylindrical edge 9, which together form a flat-cylindrical interior 10. This interior space 10 is closed on the side opposite the jet disk 6 by a flat plate 11. The cylindrical edge 9 contains from the outside inwards through openings into which the water can enter in the direction of the arrow 12. Within the space closed by the plate 11 and the jet disk 6, a rotor 13 is rotatably arranged, which is provided on its side facing the jet disk 6 with a closure element 14. Depending on the position of the rotor, the closure element 14 closes one or more of the jet outlet openings 7 or opens them.

When the water enters the room 10, it drives the rotor 13 rotating and leaves the room 10 through the currently open jet outlet openings 7. Since these are constantly closed by the closure member 14 and opened again, arises at the output of each jet outlet opening 7 is a pulsating Water jet, wherein at a constant rotation of the rotor 13, the frequency of the pulsations of all water jets is the same, but the water jets alternate in time.

Fig. 3 shows, in a section through the space 10, how the rotor 13 is formed and how it is driven. The rotor 13 includes a hub 15 from which eight vanes 16 extend obliquely outward from a radius. The wings 16 extend almost to the inside of the edge 9 zoom.

At the jet disk 6 side facing the wings 16, the closure element 14 is attached, for example as a one-piece plastic part. The closure element 14 extends over about a half arc. It extends in the radial direction from the outside of the wings 16 to just before the hub 15. All jet outlet openings 7 are arranged in the radial direction so that they lie between the outer edge and the inner edge of the closure element 14.

In the edge 9, which is shown in section in the figure 2, a total of four jet inlet openings 17 are arranged, which extend obliquely, all in the same direction.

The term oblique is to be understood as meaning that they run obliquely with respect to a radius through the center of the space 10 and thus through the axis of rotation of the rotor 13, for example at an angle of 45 °. In the edge 9, a slot 18 is additionally arranged, which does not run obliquely, but radially. In addition, the arrangement has a slidable about the axis of rotation of the rotor 13 slider 19 which closes one of the oblique slots 17 in the position of FIG .. In the position of Fig. 2, the water enters through three oblique slots 17 and a radial slot 18 in the space 10 a. The water jets entering through the oblique slots 17 drive the rotor 13 in the clockwise direction in FIG. 2, while the water jet entering through the slot 18 does not contribute to the rotary drive of the rotor 13.

Now, if the slider 19 is moved from the position shown in Fig. 2 in the position shown in Fig. 3, it now closes the radial slot 18, while he opens the previously closed oblique slot 17. Now, the flow enters into four oblique water jets in the space of the rotor 13, while the radial water jet is turned off by the slot 18. This means that now all water jets provide a contribution to the rotary drive of the rotor 13. Thus, the rotor 13 is now driven faster, so that increases the frequency of the pulsations of the exiting the jet outlet openings 7 water jets.

In an intermediate position, in which the slide 19 is arranged between the two positions of FIGS. 2 and 3, an average frequency is produced, since there are then four rotary drive beams and one beam not participating in the rotary drive.

In this caused by the changes in the openings change in the frequency of the massage jet occurs no change in the amount of water exiting the jet outlet openings 7 and no increased friction to decelerate the rotor. In addition, the hardness of the beam does not change, since the distance between the closure element 14 and the jet outlet openings 7 remains the same.
