Definitions
- the present invention relates, in general, to the operation blinds, shutters or the like, and more particularly a manual device for rod for maneuvering and unwinding such blinds.
- Such a manual device generally has one end distal which is connected by means of a gimbal to a rotary means of storage of the blind, and a proximal end capable of forming a crank maneuver.
- the device comprises a first rigid rod having an axis longitudinal and connecting the distal and proximal ends.
- the proximal end generally comprises a second rod, a first end of which is mounted for rotation about an axis perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the first rod, and of which a second end is fixed to one end of a third rod rotatably mounted according to a axis perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the second rod, so that form a crank.
- the document FR-A-817 695 describes a rod crank, crank which is an attached element which comes to hang at one end of the rod itself, the upper lug being attached to the rod at by means of a hub, a riveted pin ensuring the locking of the assembly.
- the rod necessarily has a square section to be rotated by the hub and not by the pin which would otherwise constitute a serious point of crank break.
- a tube slides on the upper post to release the upper and lower joints of the central part of the crank.
- the hub of upper post also acts as a stop to prevent the tube from coming slide on the rod itself, since there would then be two problems: that of rotation of a tube on a square rod, and that of the passage of the tube at the junction of the crank to the rod.
- the present invention is placed in this context and aims to to overcome these disadvantages and to avoid a possible fluttering of the sleeve when it is at rest, and achieve good guiding of the sleeve during its sliding.
- the invention therefore relates to a manual rod device in particular for maneuvering and unwinding blinds, shutters or equivalent, having a distal end which is connected by means of gimbal to a rotary means for storing a blind, and a proximal end capable of forming an operating crank, the device comprising a first rigid rod having a longitudinal axis and connecting the distal ends and proximal, the proximal end comprising a second rod, one of which first end is rotatably mounted on an axis perpendicular to the axis longitudinal of the first rod, and a second end of which is fixed to a end of a third rod mounted for rotation about an axis perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the second rod.
- a first sleeve is mounted at sliding on the second rod, so as to cover at least partially this second rod when the longitudinal axes of the first and second rods are aligned, and completely uncover the second rod for allow the first, second and third rods to form a crank.
- This first sleeve is coaxial with the first rod around which it is free to rotate when it completely discovers the second rod.
- This first sleeve is longer to that of the second rod, so as to completely cover it at rest.
- the first sleeve has inside a guide means favoring its sliding on the second rod.
- the means of guidance will favorably prohibit, in addition, any rotation of the first sleeve as long that it covers, even partially, the second rod.
- the third rod is provided with a second coaxial sleeve.
- the second sleeve is favorably mounted free to rotate around the longitudinal axis of the third rod.
- the second sleeve is secured to a socket so as to form a handle.
- the distal end of the device comprises a fourth rod, one end of which is mounted for rotation according to a axis perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the first rod and enters a housing fixed to a wall, and the other end of which is connected by means of a cardan joint means of storing the blind.
- the device comprises a first rigid rod 10 having a longitudinal axis and connecting the distal and proximal ends.
- the proximal end includes a second rod 12, a first end of which is mounted for rotation about an axis 18 (see Figure 2) perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the first rod 10.
- the other end of this second rod 12 is fixed to one end of a third rod 14 rotatably mounted along an axis 20 perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the second rod 12.
- a first sleeve 16 coaxial with the first rod 10 and of a length which can favorably be substantially greater than that of the second rod 12, is directly mounted to slide on the first and second rods 10, 12, and free to rotate about the axis longitudinal of the first rod 10.
- the sleeve 16 covers the second rod 12 completely or partially, thus ensuring the concealment complete or partial means for forming a crank maneuver.
- the sleeve 16 is not free to rotate as long that it covers, at least partially, the second rod 12.
- a stop (not shown), such as a ring projecting, may favorably be provided on the first rod 10 so as to limit the amplitude of the sliding movement of the sleeve 16 to a value just sufficient for the release of the second rod 12.
- the user can then simply operate the crank as well formed, to lower or raise the associated blind.
- the sleeve 16 has sufficient axial length to cover both the second rod 12, the axis 18 of rotation of the second rod 12 relative to the first 10, and to the minus a small part of the first rod 10 sufficient to regain strength of torsion due to a possible false maneuver due to a user attentive.
- the first sleeve 16 comprises at inside a guide means (not shown) favoring its sliding on the second rod 12 and possibly prohibiting any rotation as long as the first sleeve 16 at least partially covers the second rod 12. This thus avoids a possible floating of the sleeve 16 when it is at rest, and good guidance of the sleeve 16 when it slides, even if the user is not looking, while sliding, to maintain the alignment of the longitudinal axes of the two rods 10, 12.
- Such a means for guiding the sleeve 16 can advantageously be consisting of a sleeve integral with the sleeve 16 and sliding on the rods. he can also be constituted by a set of ribs provided on the second rod 12 and cooperating with an inner wall of the sleeve 16 and / or with grooves practiced in this interior wall, or vice versa
- the third rod 14 is provided with a sleeve coaxial 24 forming the other handle for gripping the crank for the user.
- this second sleeve 24, 24 ′ is favorably mounted free in rotation about the longitudinal axis of this third rod 14.
- this second sleeve 24, 24 ' can be made integral with a socket 22, 22 'allowing a rotational movement of the handle around the axis longitudinal of the third rod 14, while prohibiting any movement of axial translation of the handle.
- Figures 3a, 3b and 3c show three modes of production of a socket and sleeve.
- the sleeve 22, 22 ' is introduced at force inside an open end of the sleeve 24, 24 '.
- the face of the bush 22, 22 'perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the rod 14 can be glued or welded to the sleeve 24, 24 '.
- the other end of the sleeve may as well be open than closed.
- the bush 22 has a plurality of teeth 28 which will resiliently cooperate with a corresponding plurality of slots peripherals 26 to totally prohibit any relative rotational movement between the sleeve 22 and the sleeve 24.
- the sleeve 22 'and the sleeve 24' cooperate by friction, gluing or clipping, or equivalent, for example thanks to additional radial fins 32.
- the sleeve 24 includes a mechanical link lower axial with the third rod 14.
- the radial face 34, 34 'of the socket 22, 22' then closes off the end open the second sleeve 24, 24 ', while presenting a central orifice intended for the passage of the third rod 14, which can, indifferently, be extend or not to the other end of the sleeve 24, 24 ', depending on the resistance of the materials used and the amplitude of the force likely to be applied substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the third rod 14 during handling of the crank by the user.
- the socket has two parts: a ring 36 and a tube 38.
- Two grooves are made in the third rod 14 so as to lock the two parts 36 and 38 of the socket on the third rod 14.
- the upper end of the tube 38 has a rim 39 projecting radially on which a leg rests corresponding 25, for example annular, projecting from the inner wall of the sleeve 24.
- the positioning and locking in position of the components are thanks to the elasticity of the material used.
- the ring 36 is first introduced by force until its longitudinal ends penetrate into the grooves corresponding to the third rod 14.
- the tube 38 is then introduced from the same way.
- the sleeve is forced until it stops on a flange of the ring 36 and snap the tab 25 onto the flange 39 of the tube.
- the assembly is then completely locked and the sleeve 24 is free to rotate around the axis of the rod 14.
- the two sleeves 16, 24 form a visually substantially continuous whole at rest completely obscuring, or at least partially, the means forming a crank, that is to say that the faces opposite the first sleeve 16 and the second sleeve 24 are substantially the same external dimensions.
- this all visually continuous affects the shape of a long droplet subjected to gravity, but this is not a necessity, and is therefore in no way limiting.
- this all visually continuous can affect the external shape of a long cylinder, or any other possible form.
- a radial sectional shape of the sleeves 16, 24 purely cylindrical or elliptical or polygonal is just as possible.
- the two sleeves 16, 24 are positioned automatically by simple gravity with respect to each other and may have visual continuity without further intervention.
- FIG 4 the distal end of the device has been schematically represented.
- the output rod 46 of the storage means of the blind protrudes from a wall 40.
- This wall 40 can be that of a supporting wall a formwork for the storage means of the awning, or else be directly one lateral, vertical or horizontal walls of such a formwork.
- the protruding end of the outlet rod 46 is provided with a conventional gimbal means 48.
- a housing 50 is fixed to the wall 40 by a appropriate means 54.
- the housing 50 affects, in the drawing, in section, a form of semi-elliptical shell, but it could affect any other shape. This case 50 protects and obscures the gimbal means 48, thanks to a movable cap 52.
- the distal end of the device comprises a fourth rod 42 one end of which is mounted for rotation about an axis 44 perpendicular to the axis longitudinal of the first rod 10 and enters the housing 50 fixed to a wall or to a wall of a formwork enclosing the storage device, as indicated previously.
- the other end of the fourth rod 42 is connected by means of gimbal 48 itself connected to the outlet rod 46 of the storage means of the blind.
- the fourth rod 42 passes through the movable cap 52 which then ensures the guidance of this rod 42.
- the movable cap 42 is mounted to rotate freely at inside the housing 50, but in rotation limited by shims 56 to prevent all inadvertent movement due to a reaction of the gimbal means 48 in response to forces present when the device is operated.
- the shims 56 are removable, and can be made in such a way so that, for example, with the addition of appropriate nipples (not shown in Figure 4), when the cap 52 is in the appropriate position, it can be locked in a fixed position to correctly guide the fourth rod 42.
- the stems cited may present indifferently, in section perpendicular to their longitudinal axis, a cylindrical, square shape, rectangular, elliptical, polygonal or other.
- the sleeves 16, 24 may or may not have axial symmetry.
