Abstract

The rolling apparatus (1) has a hot rolling group (2) preceded by furnaces (3, 3') which in turn are preceded by at least two continuous casting machines (4, 4'). Shears (5, 5') are located before and, if required, after the furnaces. Each casting machine is provided with a long furnace and the furnaces are transversely movable from the casting lines (11, 11') into the rolling line (12). The furnaces are subdivided into segments (7-10; 7'-10') which are transversely movable individually and independently of one another. Also claimed is the operation of the above apparatus, utilising the individual transverse mobility of the furnace sections for nearly continuous rolling of long cast strip segments.

Description

The invention relates to a rolling mill with a hot rolling group, of these upstream furnaces and with at least two continuous casting machines as well as shears in front of and possibly behind the ovens.

In derartigen Walzstraßen (siehe z.B. In such rolling mills (see e.g. EP-A 0 770 433) the length of the furnaces is such that are able to accommodate these opening tapes, which are essentially the Corresponds to the length of each coil to be formed. Generally is the first continuous casting machine with the associated furnace in line with the hot rolling group and the second continuous casting machine / furnace group arranged parallel to this shifted. Via ferry in the second oven or at the end of these otherwise stationary ovens the support from the casting and furnace line of the second strand into the Rolling line to be shifted. Here each time if a supporting act one of the ovens has left, a new supporting strip from the other oven be threaded into the hot rolling group for tapping. The threading process represents a disturbance of the stationary casting-rolling process and increases the risk of downtime due to downtime. In addition, there is an increased amount of scrap on the respective Beginning of the tape.

It has also been suggested that the opening act begin with To weld the tail end of the previous opening strip so that can then be rolled. However, this must be costly Connection devices are installed. To connect large amounts of energy are required.

The invention has for its object to propose a rolling mill, which is always repeating at short intervals Threading processes can be avoided without being in short intervals repetitive, energy-intensive connection processes and with which you can roll almost endlessly.

For this purpose, it is proposed that each continuous casting machine have an oven great length is assigned that the furnaces are designed to be transversely displaceable and from the continuous casting lines to those of the continuous casting lines in their position deviating common rolling line can be moved and that the furnaces are divided into segments in the longitudinal direction, wherein the segments can be moved individually and independently are.

The respective furnace of great length can accommodate pre-strips in lengths, which corresponds to the length of several rolled coils, so that after transferring the pre-strip from the casting line to the rolling line can be rolled almost endlessly. The cross slide Segments allow parts of the furnace to be moved after the opening in the direction of the hot rolling group, the segments again can be pushed back into the casting line so that the continuously working casting machines do not need to be stopped.

The segments of the ovens can be the same or different lengths have, the different lengths are so dimensioned should that the segments e.g. when using two casting machines due to the approximately double casting speed working feeders in length to the hot rolling group double each time. If three casting lines were used, the Feeder speed approximately three times Casting speed correspond so that the lengths of the segments themselves could triple from segment to segment.

It is advantageous if that which is assigned to the casting machine Segment of the furnaces is stationary. This furnace segment can, after the pre-strip has been cut by means of the cutting scissors the feed device are quickly cleared so that the stationary segments, while the slidable segments in the rolling line, can be used as buffers. A corresponding application is also available for the stationary furnace segment the hot rolling group.
