Definitions
- the invention relates to a patience game comprising several pieces assembled to form a form structure or predetermined appearance.
- each part must have a particular geometry, that is to say two recesses and two tongues respectively opposite two by two, while each component rank of the element being assembled must must include a pair number of pieces.
- the invention also aims to propose an attachment system between game pieces to give these pieces a geometry varied without constraint as to the number and orientation of tabs and recesses.
- the invention relates to a game of patience comprising several parts to be assembled to form a structure of predetermined shape or appearance, each piece comprising at least one tongue or a receiving recess a tongue from an adjacent room, each tongue or recess being cut at a bevel with respect to the surface of said part at the periphery of said tongue or of said recess, characterized in that each tongue or recess includes a bevel extending over at least part of the periphery of said tongue or of said recess.
- the counter-bevel extends over substantially the entire periphery tongue or recess. This aspect of the invention allows the forces to be distributed over the bevel and against the bevel over the entire periphery of the tongue or of the recess.
- the against bevel consists of several parts distributed sequentially on the periphery of the tongue or the recess.
- notches are formed at the base of the tabs. These notches prevent the formation of an undercut part in the area where the tabs meet the main part of the room. This absence of undercut avoids the use of complex molds fitted with drawers.
- the edges of each piece are tilted from normal on the surface of the part at each point of the edges, these edges being convergent on the side of the center of curvature of the surface of the room.
- This geometry of the external edges of the part provides a good junction of the outer surface parts, i.e. the outside surface of the object made with the game of the invention, without these edges do not come into contact at such a point that, due to manufacturing tolerances, their implementation would be hindered.
- the tabs may have a thickness different from that of body of parts. This aspect of the invention makes it possible to give the creator of the game greater freedom in defining rooms.
- At least a tongue extends in a direction not parallel to the surface of the corresponding part, in the connection area from the tongue to the piece.
- At least a part is made up of several elements brought together by cooperation of shapes.
- each part provided with tongues or recesses consists of several sub-rooms, which makes the game more complex, therefore more interesting, and to avoid miniaturization too much of the parts does not result in their embrittlement.
- the game includes a self-supporting frame formed of elements assembled by form cooperation, the majority of the elements being provided at least one recess or a locking tab with the other parts of the game.
- This aspect of the invention is used when the game consists of making a flat image, like a classic puzzle, the frame then being a supporting structure for the image once it has been produced.
- the frame can be a free edge of the object to be mounted.
- the part 1 shown in Figure 1 is intended to be assembled with similar parts to form a three-dimensional object.
- room 1 includes several tabs 2 and recesses 3 distributed at its periphery according to the choices of the game designer to which the play belongs.
- the tabs 2 and the recesses 3 are cut at a bevel, that is to say include a surface, respectively referenced 4 or 5, inclined relative to the main external surface la of the part 1 in the vicinity of each tab or recess.
- each tab 2 is provided with a bevel 6, that is to say an inclined surface not parallel to the bevel 4.
- each recess 3 is bordered both by the bevel 5 and by a bevel 7 not parallel to the bevel 5.
- this tab is effectively held in position in generally parallel to the surface 1 a and in directions generally perpendicular directions on the surface 1a through the bevels and against bevels 4 to 7.
- against bevels 6 and 7 make it possible to prevent the bevels 4 and 5 from sliding against each other, which would result in a separation of the tongue 2 compared to the type recess of the recess 3 into which it enters.
- bevels 6 and 7 extend over substantially the entire periphery of the tongue 2 or the recess 3, so that they actually play their role blocking and distribution of forces over the entire periphery of the tongue.
- the outer edges of the pieces 1 and 1 ' are inclined, in directions D and D ', relative to the normal N to the surfaces la and a of the pieces 1 and 1 ', the directions D and D ' being such that the edges 1 b and 1 ′ b are directed generally towards the respective centers of curvature C and C ′ of the parts 1 and 1 ′.
- the edges 1 b and 1 ′ b are separated by a non-zero distance d . This avoids the risk of jamming of the parts 1 and 1 'during assembly.
- Exhibit 51 shown in the Figure 6 differs from the previous in that the tabs 52 and the recesses 53 have a different thickness from the body 61, that is to say the main part of room 51.
- each tab 52 and each recess 53 comprises a beveled surface 54, respectively 55, with respect to the external surface 51a of the Exhibit 51.
- Counter bevels 56, respectively 57 are distributed sequentially on the periphery of the tongue 52 and of the recess 53. These counter bevels 56 and 57, which are in form of nipples and clip notches, have substantially the same function as bevels 6 and 7 of the first mode of production.
- the bevels 54 and 55 are thinner than in the embodiment previous. We could also consider that the bevels 54 and 55 are spherical in shape, the tongue having a aspect of "ball" in top view, while a bevel remains in its lower part.
- nipples could also be formed on the tongue 52 while the corresponding notches would be formed on the edge of the recess 53.
- the tongue 52 is also provided with a notch 62 into which can be inserted a wire or a cord 63 whose end 63 a is knotted so as to have a width greater than that of the notch 62.
- a notch 64 is provided in the veil 53a of the recess 53 in order to allow the passage of the cord 63 when the tongue 52 is in place in the corresponding housing 53.
- the part 101 carries tongues 102 and recesses 103, the sides of which respectively comprise bevels 104 and 105 and counter-bevels 106 and 107.
- the tabs also carry pins 114 formed on the upper surface of each tab 102, that is to say on the surface of the tongue generally parallel to the external surface 101a of the part 101.
- Each recess 103 is also provided with a housing 115 for receiving the pin 114 of the corresponding tongue.
- the housing 115 is formed in one face of the recess 103 facing the rear of the part 101, that is to say in the direction of the rear face 101 c .
- the tongues 102 are thinner than the body 111 of the part 101, so that the recesses 103 are not visible on the external surface 101 a of the part 101, which improves the aesthetics of the object created through play.
- Exhibit 151 of this embodiment includes tabs 152 intended to penetrate into recesses similar to the recesses 153 in room 151.
- the tongue 152 is not parallel to the external surface 151 a of the part 151 in the zone of connection of the tongue 152, to the body 161 of the part 151.
- each recess 153 comprises a pin 167 intended to penetrate the piercing of the tongue which it must receive.
- the cooperation of a hole 166 and a pin 167 just like that of a pin 114 and a housing 115 of the embodiment previous, allows to further increase the immobilization of tabs relative to the recesses in which they are housed.
- the rear face 151 c of the part 151 is provided with recesses 171 making it possible to lighten the part 151 without altering its external appearance since the surface 151 a is not modified by the presence of the hollows 171.
- the hollows 171 may or may not extend to the lateral edges of the body 161 of the part 151.
- the patience game of the invention it can be envisaged to miniaturize the parts, which also allows for with a relatively large number of pieces of objects including the size, once mounted, is reduced.
- the R zone located between two close recesses constitute a potential rupture zone, which is not acceptable to a user.
- FIGS 12 a to 12 c different ways of forming a part of a game according to the invention with elements 201A to 201D or 211A to 211C or 221A to 221D. It is noted that at least some of the elements 201, 211 and 221 may be identical to each other, such as the elements 201A and 201D, 201B and 201C, 211A and 211C, 221A and 221B or 221C and 221D. This makes it possible to add a variant to the game of the invention according to which the user must construct the parts which he wishes to use from elements intended to be joined by cooperation of shapes.
- FIG. 13 Another variant of this aspect of the invention can be also implemented according to what is shown in the figure 13.
- a part is made up of three elements X, Y and Z intended to be joined together by pawns 324 intended to penetrate into corresponding accommodation 325.
- the elements X, Y, Z can be assembled in different ways to form a planar workpiece of the same type as that shown in Figure 12, which is shown in Figure 13a, but also various geometries of parts in which the tabs may extend generally parallel to the main direction of the part (Figure 13 g ) but also generally perpendicular to this direction ( Figures 13 b to 13 f ).
- an extension 429 a provided on the element 429 is provided with a housing 429 b for receiving a pin 430 b formed on the bottom surface of a recess 430 a for receiving the extension 429 a .
- the element 430 also carries an extension 430 c provided with a housing 430 d analogous to the extension 429 a and to the housing 429 b of the element 429. As it appears more clearly in FIG.
- the self-supporting frame 428 that is to say rigid and intended to support the other parts, can be formed from several elements 429, which can have a varied geometry, and from four elements 430 intended to constitute the angles.
- Each element 429 is provided with at least one recess 433 or at least one tongue 432, respectively provided with bevels 435 and 434 and against bevels 437 and 436.
- the last piece of the game or key piece 501 which is shown in Figure 17, can be divided in two parts 501A and 501B each provided with one or more tabs, one or more recesses or parts of tabs or recesses.
- Parts 501A and 501B are intended to be placed in relation to other parts of the game independently and to be assembled by any means adapted, such as in particular by clipping, or by assembling the tenon and mortise type.
- FIG. 18 a sphere which can represent a world map or a balloon is produced by means of a game in accordance with the invention.
- This sphere includes a certain number of parts 1, 1 ′, 1 ", etc ..., one of which 1 3 is produced in four parts as described with reference to FIG. 12 and of which another 1 4 constitutes a blocking piece of the type of the piece 501 represented in FIG. 17.
- the references 210A to 201C, 501A and 501B have been given in this drawing of the elements corresponding to FIGS. 12 and 17.
- This world map may consist of 24 pieces or 96 pieces according to the complexity sought.
