Definitions

  • the invention relates to a heat-activating reinforcing element, as a complex, and used in manufacturing footwear.
  • FR-A-2 065 960 describes a composite material consisting of strips of fabric impregnated with a dispersion of elements synthetics of carboxylated styrene-butadiene polymer.
  • the faces of the layer thus produced are then, for one, coated with a dispersion of synthetic materials suitable for imparting to said face the appearance of suede while being abrasion resistant and, for the other, coated with example by a sticky coating allowing its sticking to hot in a shoe.
  • American patent US-A-5 354 604 also relates to a composite material serving as reinforcement, consisting of a core in thermo-deformable thermoplastic resin, layers of woven being placed on either side of said core and linked to these by layers of resins. Layers of woven material have sufficient thickness to impart sufficient rigidity and strength to the structure composite. It is preferable to use woven fibers carbon, glass or aramid. This composite material can then be shaped by heating in a mold.
  • a material reinforced with of a fibrous element included within a thickness of synthetic material is subjected to a first direct coating by the material synthetic, the fibrous element is then affixed to the plaster and pressed so that the molten plaster enters the macroscopic openings defined between the fibers, a second coating is then applied in the molten state in order to fill the depressions on the surface of the element of reinforcement, joining the first plaster in the macroscopic openings of the fibrous element.
  • the fibrous element is embedded by applying pressure within a single layer coating of synthetic material. In both cases, the process requires submission of the footwear to very high temperatures in order to apply the material synthetic melted as a coating.
  • the coating of the material to be reinforced by a synthetic material in molten form necessarily high temperatures during the cycle manufacturing footwear that may cause damage of said material to be reinforced.
  • the coating procedure of the material to be reinforced lengthens the time of the manufacturing cycle of said footwear.
  • the described method envisages only the realization a reinforcement directly on the material of the article footwear during its manufacturing cycle, the material to be reinforced, which should automatically be severe temperature conditions previously mentioned.
  • DE-A-41 20 134 describes a fiber support suitable for allow welding or bonding between two compounds which are not stickable or weldable with each other, these compounds which may constitute two elements to be linked footwear.
  • the fibrous support comprises on one side an outer layer with which one of compounds is identical or bondable or weldable and the other side an outer layer with which the other compound is identical or bondable or weldable, chemical or mechanical.
  • the fiber support can possibly also constitute an element of stiffening between the two compounds.
  • JP-A-3221001 a manufacturing process reinforced footwear using a body of reinforcement formed from a shape memory polymer and shaped previously in curved form along a form of shoe mold.
  • the reinforcement body is then heated and deformed into a plane form at a temperature below the molding temperature and is then introduced into a pocket then attached to the conservation of shape of the shoe upper.
  • the reinforcing element therefore consists of three elements in separate layers, each of which has specific characteristics giving the element of reinforcement of specific properties.
  • the reinforcing element according to the invention can be define in two parts of distinct functions, one constituting a hard end or buttress and the other a reinforcement of said hard end or buttress, the first part being constituted by the shape memory element whose dimensions and characteristics are similar to those a standard type butt or buttress and the second part consisting of the reinforcing fabric and the stiffening element whose characteristics constitute a local reinforcement for the memory element of form.
  • the shape memory element provides the footwear an ability to recover its original shape even after undergone deformation, for example by impact. He contributes therefore maintaining the aesthetic integrity of said article footwear.
  • any material is used thermoactivable at temperatures compatible with the manufacturing cycle of the footwear, having a shape memory such as an ethylene-acid copolymer metacrylic sold under the registered trademark SURLYN or of the type sold under the trademark IMPERFIRM.
  • the stiffening element is a heat-activated resin and heat-sealed chosen so as to stiffen locally at room temperature the tissue area of reinforcement that it permeates by a local increase thick while having a softening point low, preferably below 100 ° C, to allow forming at temperatures compatible with manufacturing cycle temperatures of an item footwear.
  • the layer of the stiffening element can be made by direct coating of the reinforcing fabric by said resin.
  • the reinforcing fabric allows, for its part, to limit the creep of the other two laminated elements during a brief or permanent request such as crushing or slipping of the foot in the article footwear, insofar as the fibers of the fabric tensile stresses also have a low elongation capacity.
  • the reinforcement fabric is a fabric of low grammage included in a range of 40 to 80 g / m 2 and whose tensile breaking stress is greater than 1000 Mpa and the tensile modulus is greater than 30000 Mpa .
  • the reinforcing fabric is preferably an aramid fiber fabric whose grammage is 60 g / m 2 .
  • This aramid fiber fabric provides reinforcement optimal in terms of resistance to wear, tearing and also limits the risk of foot irritation the user.
  • the reinforcing element thus produced is mounted on the face internal of a rod to locally reinforce an article footwear in the same way as a usual reinforcement thermoactivable.
  • the shape memory element which plays the role of a standard hard butt or buttress is preferably attached to the upper of the footwear so that the reinforcing fabric and stiffening element are placed inside said footwear.
  • the reinforcing element thus produced allows a reinforcement of footwear without requiring significant change in the manufacturing cycle usual, the forming temperatures, in particular the deformation of the stiffening element and of the element with shape memory, being less than 100 ° C. So there more risk of degradation of the other constituents of footwear.
  • the reinforcing element is obtained by layering flat of the three separate layers.
  • the shape memory element 1 preferably has a cutting and a dimension suitable to constitute either a buttress is a standard hard end, its thickness being between 0.5 and 1.5 mm. It is coated on its external face by a hot-melt adhesive allowing its subsequent bonding on the upper 4 of an article of footwear. Her shape memory allows it to return to its original shape after deformation by shock or stress accidental.
  • the light weight reinforcement fabric 2 is, from preferably an aramid fiber fabric impregnated with the stiffening element 3.
  • Said stiffening element 3 is preferably consisting of poly "caprolactone" and has a point softening between 55 and 70 ° C. It covers the reinforcement fabric 2 so that it has a local thickness increase between 0.2 and 0.8 mm.
  • Reinforcement fabric 2 and element layer of stiffening 3 have the same dimensions and the fabric 2 is positioned so that the fibers component of the fabric are preferably oriented at +/- 45 ° with respect to the longitudinal axis of the footwear. This position of the fibers is held in place in the reinforcing element by impregnating the reinforcing fabric 2 by the stiffening element 3.
  • the reinforcing element has a structure such that the reinforcement fabric 2 is located between the memory element of form 1 and the stiffening element 3.
  • the dimensions of the layer of the stiffening element 3 and reinforcing fabric 2 are such that, preferably, their surface is between 90 and 40% of the surface of the shape memory element 1.
  • the element to shape memory 1 has a trimming 1 'so as not to mark the shoe after mounting on the upper 4 and in a sole 5.
  • the dimensions of the reinforcing fabric 2 and the layer of the stiffening element 3 are also such that these do not cover the trimming zone 1 'of the element with shape memory 1.
  • the stiffening element 3 also has a 3 'trim to obtain a variation in thickness and progressive stiffness for not to harm the comfort of the user and to preserve also the aesthetics of the footwear (absence of marking).
  • Layers 1, 2 and 3 can be assembled by the process said of complexing corresponding to the superposition of different layers during the assembly of the article footwear.
  • the impregnation of the fabric 2 by the stiffening element 3 intervenes during the softening of the stiffening element during forming.
  • the fabric 2 is then previously impregnated with direct coating with the stiffening element 3, then laminated to the shape memory element 1.
  • the reinforcing element is mounted on the rod 4 of the same so that a hard tip or a heat-activated buttress usual.
  • the rod 4 of a footwear constitutes the outer shell of the reinforcing element while the fabric 2 impregnated with the stiffening element 3 performs the role of skin inside in the fitted footwear.
  • the reinforcing element can however be covered internally with a protective fabric or film and cleanliness 6.
  • Such a reinforcing element allow reinforcement of footwear during a cycle of normal manufacturing without the need to excessive temperature increases but, in in addition, it gives said article of footwear an improvement stiffness and shock resistance characteristics of reinforced areas of said footwear during crushing or low energy shock.
  • the variation of the thickness of the reinforcing element preserves user comfort and aesthetics footwear.
  • this reinforcing element can be used to reinforce any part of the stem, the dimensions and the shape of said element then being chosen according to the rod area to be reinforced.
