Abstract

The key has a key body (1) and a two-part separate head (3,4) making up an elongated key. The head of the key is of planar shape and forms a sealed housing around an electronic device (5). One part of the head forms a retaining ring around one end of the key body (1a). The second part of the head completes the housing by a joint which is along a plane at an angle which is diagonal across the key so that the body of the key passes through an opening (13) in the second part of the head. This ensures that the key body is not held by a retaining ring formed between a joint between two halves of the key head.
