Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a device for turning the front panel of a plate element within a folder-gluer, that is to say a machine transforming elements into a plate, such as cardboard or paper cutouts, in boxes "folded flat” and stacked, these boxes can quickly be developed in three dimensions thereafter.
  • the format of the cut, as well as the lines of upsetting positioning the subsequent folds, define the panels front and rear, side panels, bottom and cover elements of the box and, if necessary, interior partitions. Some signs or sidewalls can also be completed with bonding tabs.
  • the invention relates more particularly to a device for turning over a fairly large front panel of a cut-out, i.e. a folding of this panel from front to back, as considered with respect to in the direction of travel of this cutout within the folder-gluer.
  • a such a reversal of the front panel is necessary, for example, when making record sleeves.
  • the reversal of a small front leg is carried out so known thanks to a relatively simple device comprising one or several hooks suspended resiliently on a cross member, the lower end of these hooks being found in the passage plane cutouts.
  • FIG. 1 An example of a turning device known as a plus large front panel is described in document FR 2 306 075.
  • This device comprises on the one hand a folding crossmember located little above the cutting plan of the cutouts, and whose V cross section horizontal is oriented in the opposite direction to that of scrolling cuts.
  • This device also comprises a series of lifting fingers located under the upstream travel plane parallel to the cross member, and driven by a jack from an initially horizontal position to a position momentary oblique oriented towards the top of the sleeper upon arrival of a cutout. This operation can also be performed by a jet air. As soon as the front edge of the front panel is engaged above the cross, the fingers are brought back to the horizontal.
  • the turning device includes a vertical transverse plate upper associated with a lower upstream series of lifting fingers.
  • the face upstream of reception of this plate is lined with several slides vertical maintained in front of this face with a little spacing greater than the thickness of the cut. These slides are presented under the form of vertical bars, the lower ends of which are curved upstream to facilitate engagement of the front edge of the front panel directed by the temporarily oblique lifting fingers.
  • the outlet of the upstream upper conveyor is positioned at a certain distance from the plate so that the front panel, arriving initially horizontally, can curve to climb to the vertical against the plate without breaking, but so that the line of rear delivery immediately gives way in a fold when it arrives. This fold goes under the plate to be picked up by the transporter downstream, the front panel then being pulled down and pressed against the next intermediate panel.
  • the object of the present invention is to present a device for turning over the front panel of a suitable plate element opening one or more shutters in a front panel to be returned, in a manner compatible with the rate fast and as much as possible; without requiring complex and therefore expensive heavy equipment.
  • a turning device of front panel of a plate element within a folder-gluer comprising a substantially vertical retaining plate located transversely little above the plane of travel of the cutouts; as well as a series of lifting fingers located transversely below of the travel plane and substantially upstream of the retaining plate, this series of lifting fingers being animated by a jack of a position horizontal rest at a substantially oblique position upon arrival of the front panel to direct it against the plate behind slide rails retention, because this device comprises at least one pusher substantially orthogonal to the retaining plate, this pusher being actuated by a actuator to detach the shutter when the panel goes through its maximum height against the plate.
  • the front panel of the cutout is held against the plate in a so-called vertical position "maximum" for a certain time, the time that the delivery line at the level of the lower conveyor turns into a fold out then under the plate.
  • This period of formation of the fold corresponds to a advance of approximately 5 cm from the delivery line at the level of the plate, advance during which the panel pressed against the plate retains a almost constant height.
  • This time of formation of the fold is just sufficient to advance and reverse a pusher with a rapid actuator commercially available.
  • the device comprises several pushers mounted on a common plate actuated by the actuator.
  • this plate may include a mesh of tapped holes allowing to arrange the pushers according to the shape and dimensions of the flap (s).
  • the device includes, for each component, a single pusher whose action surface corresponds to that of the flap. Such push then looks like a kind of punch.
  • the action surface of the push button (s) opposite of a shutter is oblique, the least prominent part corresponding to the flap fold area.
  • the push button (s) are housed in through holes in the plate and are actuated towards upstream.
  • the plate can have a mesh of orifices corresponding to the mesh of threaded holes in the plate allowing to arrange the pushers according to the format of the flaps.
  • the slides of the retaining plate form an upper and lateral frame for each component.
  • Such a framework makes it easier to hold the panel against the retaining plate when the shutters are opened by the pushers.
  • the retaining plate has a rounded bottom edge corresponding to each flap, and the push button (s) are actuated downstream.
  • the actuators can be pneumatic or electromagnetic, double acting, or single acting acting at against a spring.
  • Figure 1 illustrates a panel turning device cutting front based on a vertical retaining plate 20, arranged transversely little above a cutting conveyor 10 and associated with lifting fingers 30 arranged slightly upstream of the plate 20 under the carrier 10.
  • the lower part of the conveyor 10 is composed of two parallel endless belts 12a and 12b including the pulleys return and drive ends are not shown.
  • this transporter 10 comprises a first pair of upper endless belts 14a and 14b located upstream of the plate 20, and whose downstream return pulleys 15a, 15b are located relatively close to the plate at a distance between 5 and 25 cm.
  • This conveyor 10 also includes a second pair of belts without downstream end 16a, 16b whose upstream return pulleys 17a, 17b are located longitudinally at the level of the plate 20.
  • These upper belts 14a, 14b, 16a, 16b press the cutouts against the lower conveyor 12a, 12b to ensure a drive and an advance of these cuts without sliding or skidding sideways or at an angle.
  • the belts lower 12a, 12b could be replaced by a series of rollers transverse parallels, and the upper belts 14a, 14b and 16a, 16b could be replaced by longitudinal series of rollers in correspondence with the rollers.
  • the retaining plate 20 is, in this example, under a substantially rectangular transverse shape with a notch in the lower middle part, this notch being rectangular vertical. This plate with its notch thus makes it possible to turn two lateral front panels of a cut-out, leaving space available for another operation, such as lateral folding, for a panel medial frontal.
  • the transverse length of this plate 20 corresponds substantially to the width of the cut.
  • the bottom edge of this plate 20 is located above the lower transport belts 12a, 12b.
  • a slide plate 22 retention and framing is fixed vis-à-vis the upstream face of the retaining plate 20 with a spacing slightly greater than the thickness of the cut to be treated.
  • This slide plate 22 has, like the retaining plate 20, a central notch allowing free passage to the middle front panel receiving other treatment.
  • each lateral flank of this slide plate 22 has a window 26 of framing whose vertical and transverse dimensions correspond to the dimensions of the shutters to be opened in the panels frontal to be treated.
  • the lower ends of the frames of window are in the form of 24 arcuate sliders the upstream ensuring a guiding of the panels as will be shown by the after.
  • These retaining plates 20 and slide plates 22 can be made from steel plates or material to ensure sufficient rigidity.
  • the turning device also includes a series lifting fingers 30 whose upstream ends are mounted independent on a pneumatic cylinder, and whose downstream ends are arched upwards, being located a little behind the plate retaining 20 substantially at mid-length of the tabs 24. acting in rotation on the common axis 32, these fingers can be brought lifting 30 from a first horizontal rest position under the conveyor 10 to a second oblique active position in which the downstream ends arches emerge upward relative to the scroll plane of cuts.
  • each lateral flank of the retaining plate 20 includes through holes 28 in each of which can slide a pusher 40 orthogonally to the retaining plate 20.
  • the ends rear of each group of pushers 40 are fixed to plates common 42 integral with actuator output rods 44 susceptible to print a rapid downstream / upstream movement on the pusher 40.
  • pushers can be identical so that they are all flush with the surface upstream of the plate 22.
  • the length of the pushers close to the lower fold line of flap 2 may be smaller than that of upper pushers, giving a general oblique action surface more compatible with the geometry of the open shutter.
  • actuators 44 can be pneumatic cylinders or electromagnetic with double action forward / reverse, or actuators with simple action, for example in advance, but against springs the returning to the rest position. These actuators 44 are powered by fittings 46.
  • the turning device according to the invention works as follows.
  • Figure 2a illustrates a cutout 1 having two panels lateral fronts 2, each panel comprising a flap 5 to be opened.
  • This figure 2a illustrates the arrival of this cutout 1 in the device, phase during which the lifting fingers 30 are in position high to direct the front edges of the panels 2 under the slide tabs 24, therefore between the slide plate 22 and the plate restraint 20.
  • the delivery line 8 delimiting the edge rear of the panels 2 is still held in the upstream conveyor.
  • the front panels 2 therefore rise against the plate 20 in passing, between the conveyor and the plate, by a path in cylinder portion without bending.
  • Figure 2b illustrates the phase in which the delivery line 8, having left the upstream conveyor, develops into a fold 8 '. Little previously, the lifting fingers 30 are returned to their position horizontal rest underlying the carriers so that this 8 'fold line stays in contact with the lower endless belts 12a, 12b.
  • flap 5 of panel 2 is found in window 26 of the slide plate 22. So, and as better visible on the left side of this FIG. 2b, the actuator 44 advances the wafer 42 in the direction of the plate 20 causing the ends of the pushers 40 to protrude from the upstream surface of this plate to open the flap 5 by breaking and detaching bridges of retaining material. The removal of these pushers takes place immediately after.
  • Figure 2c illustrates the ejection phase in which the fold 8 ' is taken by the downstream carriers 16a, 16b then forcing a descent of the panels 2 with their shutters 5 open.
  • the displacement in portion of cylinder made at the level of the pulleys 17a momentarily confirms the opening of the shutters before they close when the folding of the panels 2 against the next part of the cut.
  • the turning device according to the invention succeeds in carrying out an operation opening of shutters by breaking weak points "on the fly” simultaneously with a front panel flipping operation of cutting.
  • This device in fact only requires an improvement in the slides in the form of a retention and frame plate complete with arched lower legs and adding in one place judiciously chosen pushers driven by fast actuators.
  • this device is controlled by a microprocessor control which triggers the pushers either at a predetermined "machine angle" or at reception of a signal from a sensor noting the arrival of the front panel of the cut.
  • Operating safety margins are defined during the location of the pushers 40 relative to the upper edge of the windows 26 as a function of the speed of action of the actuators 44.
  • the ultra-fast actuators provide relatively low lifters long close to the edge to have a frank leg break.
  • the actuator 44 and the plate 42 are located upstream of the plate 20, the pushers then advancing downstream in arranged windows, in correspondence flaps in the retaining plate 20. It is therefore preferable to provide a bead along the lower edge of such a window to facilitate return of the shutter within the panel when it is ejected and turned over.
