- the groove 15 and the cover 16 can extend over the entire length of the respective handrail element 4, but alternatively can also be formed only in a small section of this length, namely where the handrail element 4 is to be connected to a post 1.
- the handrail element 4 can also be provided with a corresponding groove and an associated cover 16 at several points spaced in the longitudinal direction.
- the height of the cover 16 is preferably selected so that it is essentially flush with the lower surface of the handrail element 4 in the assembled state and essentially continues its outer contour.
- the cover 16 is preferably made of metal, in particular flat steel.
- the cover 16 is at appropriate intervals with holes 17 to Provide mounting screws, not shown, by means of which they on Handrail element 4 is attached. Since the heads of the mounting screws on the after mounting side 14 facing below, they are not visible from above and therefore arranged optically inconspicuous.
- FIGS. 4 to 10 A first exemplary embodiment of a device according to the invention for the adjustable fastening of one of the handrail elements 4 to a post 1 is shown in FIGS. 4 to 10.
- the handrail element 4 wherever it is to be fastened to a post 1, has a cavity 18 which is open towards the mounting side 14, ie towards the post 1, and which is milled or the like into the bottom of the groove 15, ie from the mounting side 14 is incorporated here and has a substantially cuboid shape.
- the cover 16 has a recess 19 in the region of the cavity 18 (FIGS. 6 and 7), which is delimited in the longitudinal direction (arrow v ) by mutually opposite bearing surfaces 20a, 20b or edge sections running transversely to the longitudinal direction.
- these bearing surfaces 20a, 20b are designed as wedge-shaped surfaces which converge towards the outside in the assembled state (FIG. 5), but leave a gap between them.
- the recess 19 and the bearing surfaces 20a, 20b form part of a pivot bearing.
- the second part of the pivot bearing is formed by a rotating part in the form of a disk 21 (FIGS. 8, 9) which has a circular cross section with a diameter which is slightly larger than the smallest distance between the bearing surfaces 20a, 20b measured in the direction of the arrow v and the thickness of which corresponds to or is somewhat smaller than the distance between the other two edge sections 20c, 20d delimiting the recess 19. If the disk 21 is therefore inserted into the recess 19 in the manner shown in FIG.
- the washer 21 is provided with a radially projecting bolt 22, which serves to firmly connect the washer 21 to the post 1.
- the bolt 22 is designed as a threaded bolt, while the Disc 21 is penetrated by a diametrically continuous threaded bore 23 (FIGS. 8, 9) is, into which the bolt 22 is screwed.
- the bolt 22 is longer than the threaded bore 23 and has at the outwardly projecting end a means 24 for attaching a Tools, e.g. a slot for a screwdriver blade.
- the disc 21 is first in the 4 and 5 evident manner used in the cavity 18 that the Bolt 22 protrudes from the assembly side 14. Then the cover 16 inserted into the groove 15 such that the bolt 22 and the portion 21a of the washer 21 in the recess 19 protrude, and then with the fastening bolts 17 projecting through the holes 17 (FIG. 3) attached to the handrail element 4.
- the distance between the bottom of the Cavity 18 and the inner surface of the cover 16 is corresponding to that Disc diameter appropriately chosen so that when the cover 16 is attached Disk 21 with its peripheral surface on the one hand on the bearing surfaces 20a, 20b and on the other supported at the bottom of the cavity 18 and thus rattle-free in the cavity 18 is stored.
- a can also be used to produce easy-running storage little play can be provided.
- the disc 21 can now be pivoted back and forth in the cavity 18 within an angular range, which is determined by the stop of the pin 22 on the lower edges of the bearing surfaces 20a, 20b, in order thereby to move the pin axis at the same angle relative to the direction of the arrow v to align as this applies to the axis of the post 1. Then the free end of the bolt 22 is fixed in a corresponding receptacle of the post 1 and then the post 1 is fastened in the usual manner to a stair string, to the floor or the like. Any fine adjustments to the angular position can be achieved by rotating the handrail element 4 relative to the disk 21.
- Post 1 preferably has at its in FIG. 4 and 5 upper end a sleeve-shaped receptacle with a corresponding internal thread on.
- Post 1 consists essentially of a steel tube 26 and an on this and plastic tube projecting beyond its upper end 27.
- an internally threaded sleeve 28 e.g. by pressing attached.
- FIG. 10 one that is particularly evident from FIG. 10 is essentially overall cylindrical grub screw 29 is provided which at one end into the sleeve 28 mating external thread section 30 and at the other end an internal thread section 31 has, which fits to the external thread of the bolt 22.
- the Set screw 29 e.g. first with the male thread section 30 in the sleeve 28 and then by rotating the post 1 with its internally threaded portion 31 screwed onto the bolt 22, which was preferably firmly tightened beforehand, until it is preferably on the disk 21 or on the bottom of an annular, in the lateral surface of the disk 21 trained, surrounding the threaded bore 23, blind hole-like receptacle 32, so that no disruptive threaded parts or butt joints are visible.
- the top one End of the plastic tube 27 expediently with a pressed or clipped cap 33 covered, which penetrated by the grub screw 29 and its cross section having passage 34.
- the threaded pin 29 also enables one Height adjustment of the handrail element 4 within wide limits, since it is both in the sleeve 28 and twisted on the bolt 22 and thereby relative to the post 1 and Handrail element 4 can be moved axially.
- the pivoting range of the disk 21 is the same larger, the deeper the center or the axis of rotation of the disk 21 in the recess 19 the cover 16 lies.
- the bearing surfaces 20a, 20b could indeed have a shape corresponding to the disk shape get a flat cylindrical shape, but this could be the disc axis because of the stop of the axis of the milling head on the cover 16 only up maximally approximate to the inner surface. If the bearing surfaces 20a, 20b on the other hand, given the wedge shape shown in FIG.
- the disk 21 does indeed have they only line contact, but their axis can then also below the inner surface of the Cover 16 are located, whereby can be reached without further swivel angle of ⁇ 40 °. Since the bearing surfaces 20a, 20b only serve to produce the desired angular position, a line contact is quite sufficient.
- the disk 21 is not on the cover 16, but in a substantially cuboid bearing block 36 rotatably mounted, which has a receiving opening 37 intended for receiving the disk 21 and a thickness substantially corresponding to the thickness of the disk 21.
- the receiving opening 37 has a cross-sectional shape corresponding to the peripheral surface of the disk 21, but extends only over a peripheral section which is slightly larger than 180 °. As a result, the receiving opening 37 is opened toward the mounting side 14 through a gap which is delimited by mutually opposite bearing surfaces 36a, 36b which are spaced apart in the longitudinal direction (arrow v in FIG.
- the bearing surfaces 36a, 36b run along an imaginary cylinder surface.
- a surface 36c which likewise runs along the imaginary cylindrical surface, to form a closed surface which extends over more than 180 ° and closely surrounds the disk 21.
- cover 40 expediently has screw holes 42, through the fastening screws, not shown, in corresponding threaded bores 43 the bearing block 36 can be screwed to this when it with its etching 38, 39 lies in the recess 41 to be firmly connected to the cover 40.
- connection of a handrail element 4 with a post 1 is carried out using the 11 to 16 analogous to the embodiment of FIGS. 1 to 10.
- a The only difference is that before the cover 40 is attached, the disk 21 including the bearing block 36 receiving it into the cavity 18 of the handrail 4 is inserted (Fig. 16). The disk 21 is inserted into the bearing block 36 thereby in its axial direction from one side of the receiving opening 37.
- FIGS. 11 and 12 show a bearing block 45, in which one corresponding to FIGS. 11 and 12 trained receiving opening 46 for the disk 21 on one side of a wall 47 is limited.
- the disk 21 can therefore only from one side Receiving opening 46 are inserted, which is preferably one of the thickness of the disc 21st has the appropriate width.
- a two-part bearing block 49 is provided, that of two half-shells 50 and 51 formed analogously to FIGS. 17 and 18 is composed, each one of the receiving opening 46 corresponding receiving opening 52 or 53.
- the width of each recess 52, 53 preferably corresponds about half the thickness of the disk 21.
- the two half-shells 50, 51 are with the open sides of the receiving openings 52, 53 facing each other so that they Take up disc 21 between them.
- the storage area is thus in this case Surface sections of both half-shells 50, 51 are formed. This gives the advantage that the bearing block 49 is assembled in a simple manner from flat steel sections can be.
- the covers extend 16, 40 and 56, respectively, over the entire length of the respective handrail 4, as in FIG. 23 for cover 16 is shown.
- the arch elements 6, 7 expediently connected in a similar manner to the post 1 by steel parts, like this as described above for the connection between the covers 16, 40 and 56 and the post 1 applies because both the washers 21 and bolts 22 and the sleeves 28 and set screws 29 are preferably made of steel.
- the connection of the Handrail elements 4 with the arch elements 6, 7 finally take place according to FIG.
- the handrail elements 4 on their bottom with front receiving openings 57 are provided in the form of blind holes into which metal, especially steel existing tabs, bolts or other connecting elements 58 are introduced, the firmly connected with corresponding metal parts of the arch elements 6, 7 and with transverse ones Threaded bores 59 are provided.
- the covers 16 where the connecting elements 58 come to rest for receiving fastening screws 60 specific screw holes, which in the assembled state also in the handrail element 4 trained cross holes aligned in the receiving openings 57 aligned are. This makes it possible to install the complete handrail Fastening screws 60 through the cover 16 into the threaded bores 59 of the connecting elements 58.
- the arrangement in the joint area is corresponding mix two handrail elements 4 hit, in which case the butt joints protrude Connecting elements 61 are provided.
- FIG. 5 shows that the disks 21 do not have to be circular all around, but only in those areas, those in the intended swivel range with the bearing surfaces 20a, 20b or 36a, 36b cooperate while the remaining part of the peripheral surface is also shaped differently could be.
- the arrangement described is not based on the preferred combination made of wood and steel and possibly plastic, but also with other material combinations applicable with advantage. In all cases, the is particularly advantageous Circumstances that the disks 21 a separate, not to be made in one piece with the post 1 or to be formed on this component and therefore manufactured in a simple manner can be.
- the storage areas that are either attached to the cover or on a separate bearing block, but not molded onto the handrail element itself will.
- the handrail elements 4 have no laterally attached covers or the like need.
- the fastening device described can be used instead of on banisters even with handrails or railings on sloping floors or the like. provided or applied to handrail elements, e.g. immediately at one Wall or the like, i.e.
- the Invention also include a kit that contains all the elements, both optionally a horizontal and / or oblique arrangement of the handrail elements (Fig. 4,5 and 16) as also allow an exclusively horizontal arrangement of the handrail elements (Fig. 22).

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a device specified in the preamble of
The handrails are attached to posts erected along a staircase or the like often with the help of swivel joints, the two connected by a hinge pin Have joint parts and a simple adjustment of the angle of inclination of the handrail elements to the respective stairs or the like (e.g. EP 0 246 057 A2, EP 0 279 202 A2). Such swivel joints are especially when using Metal handrails and posts work well because the different joint parts are light by welding or screwing on the associated handrail elements or posts can be attached. When using handrail elements made of wood or the like. however, such devices are less well suited, especially when desired is, the hinge parts and / or the hinge pin largely invisible to store.
There are therefore already devices suitable for wooden handrails the genre described at the outset (EP 0 085 341 A1), in which the Fastening device consists of a swivel joint, one at a post end molded disc of circular cross-section and one on the handrail element integrally formed receptacle in which the disc is rotatably mounted. The recording has a cross-section corresponding to the shape of the disk and is calculated in the circumferential direction over an angle of e.g. 100 ° to 170 ° so that at the ends of its peripheral surface a gap, which is bounded by storage areas and is open to the outside, arises in the longitudinal direction of the handrail element is smaller than the disc diameter. This allows the Although the disc cannot be pulled out through the gap or fall out, this gap but protrude with a section attached to the post. The disc is therefore up on this small section, visible from the outside, inside the handrail element arranged, which results in a visually appealing appearance.
However, this known device is still not entirely satisfactory. It is particularly annoying that the recording despite the attachment of the post on the underside of the handrail element are always worked into the handrail element from the side got to. It is therefore necessary to remove the parts of the receptacles that remain free after assembly or the visible parts of the swivel joints with side covers cover that - if discontinuity of the handrail elements at this point prevents should be - how they should consist of wood or the like. Besides, they would have to Covers to avoid visible screw heads with the handrail elements can be connected by gluing or nailing, which is cumbersome and complicates any dismantling and repair work. Finally, the manufacture of the handrail elements and posts complex and expensive.
In contrast, the invention is based, the device of the beginning designate the designated genus so that it can be easily assembled and disassembled, requires no visible fasteners on the side and easy manufacture which enables handrail elements and posts.
Further advantageous features of the invention emerge from the subclaims.
an sich bekannten Mitteln an den Pfosten 1 befestigt.1, a typical railing has a plurality of spaced, usually
post 1 to be mounted vertically, with the feet not shown on the horizontal
Floor or as shown with
At the upper ends of the
Treppengeländer dieser Art sind allgemein bekannt und brauchen dem Fachmann daher nicht näher erläutert werden (EP 0 085 341 A1).Stair railings of this type are generally known and therefore need a person skilled in the art not be explained in more detail (EP 0 085 341 A1).
wesentlichen fortsetzt.According to the invention, the
While the
A first exemplary embodiment of a device according to the invention for the adjustable fastening of one of the

An
The second part of the pivot bearing is formed by a rotating part in the form of a disk 21 (FIGS. 8, 9) which has a circular cross section with a diameter which is slightly larger than the smallest distance between the bearing

To attach the
The
To fasten the
As can be seen in particular in FIG. 5, the pivoting range of the
In a second embodiment of the invention shown in FIGS. 11 to 16, in which the same reference numerals as in FIGS. 1 to 10 are used for the same parts, the
The connection of a
entsprechende Breite besitzt.17 and 18 show a
In the embodiment according to FIGS. 19 to 21, a two-
4, aber nicht dessen Winkelstellung einstellbar ist.22 shows a variant for fastening the
According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the covers extend
16, 40 and 56, respectively, over the entire length of the
Geländern an schräg ansteigenden Fußböden od. dgl.
The invention is not limited to the exemplary embodiments described, which are
can be modified in many ways. For example, FIG. 5 shows that the
