Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a method and an apparatus for grinding the Knife of a knife ring chipper.
Knife ring chippers are used to create chips that are primarily used for Manufacture of chipboard to be used. Such a Knife ring chipper has a knife ring. This in turn includes numerous knife units. Each knife unit has a support block that carries a knife and has a wear surface. The wear surface is facing a rotor which is rotatably mounted within the knife ring. The knife ring is in turn surrounded by a housing.
The knives are very exposed to wear. you have one Tool life that only counts after a few hours. Therefore, you have to frequent be reground. The knives used to be used for regrinding Remove. Devices with which it has become known it is possible to close the knives in the knife ring even during grinding leave. For example, reference is made to DE 43 16 514 B1. Here is the knife ring can be extended from the chipper and inserted into a frame. It is rotatably mounted in it. It encloses in this position for the purpose of grinding a grinding unit. The grinding unit performs for the purpose of Grinding a translatory movement parallel to the knife ring axis, while the knife ring rotates slowly around its own axis executes. The grinding wheel lies one after the other on its face the knives. Due to its translational movement, it wanders in the Over a period of approx. 1 to 2 hours along the knife ring axis from one end to the other end.
This procedure works fundamentally different. Here is also one Grinding device provided, which is exactly the same as in the former Device can be placed within the knife ring and the one translatory movement parallel to the knife ring axis. It is however, the knife ring locked in rotation during the grinding process, and stands still until a knife or a group of knives is ground. Then the knife ring performs a limited rotational movement from, according to the division of the knife over the circumference of the Knife ring.
The provision of a plurality of knives that mechanically become one Knife group coupled together is advantageous in that it is the same several knives are sharpened in one translatory movement can. For example, if there are four grinding tools, four can Knives can be sharpened at the same time. After grinding these four Knife, the knife ring is rotated by such a radian measure that the grinding tools in the positions of the next four knives are located.
The demands on chip quality have increased recently. The Chip quality depends on numerous parameters, including that Knife board, the wood quality, but also the quality of the ship. Here has shown that the chip quality no longer meets the requirements. The confusing multitude of parameters always gives rise to reasons Speculations to find interference. This is not yet in the necessary dimensions succeeded.
The invention has for its object a method and a Specify device for sharpening knives when sharpening knives inside the knife ring to increase the chip quality.
This object is solved by the features of the independent claims.
The inventor has recognized that the quality of the cut of the knives is one has a decisive influence on the chip quality, and that with the so far Known methods and devices to the grinding quality of knives Knife shows significant deviations, leading to corresponding Deviations in chip quality leads. Thus, a certain knife creates a certain chip quality, and another knife a different one Chip quality. The quality of the cut depends on Grinding tool. The inventor also recognized that when editing a and the same knife with several grinding tools or unfavorable - overlay the properties of the individual grinding tools and mix to some extent so that the quality of the cut of all Knife is the same. Accordingly, the quality of the chips is one certain knife produces, equal to the chip quality of the other knives. in the In contrast to the state of the art, a certain knife is not reground by a single grinding tool, but the grinding of the single knife is the result of sharpening them all Grinding tools of a group of grinding tools.

Fig. 4 shows an embodiment of the invention in which Cup wheels are worked as grinding tools. Anyone there shown grinding tools 4.1 has the shape of a pot that against the knife edge to be sharpened is open; is the bottom of the pot thus facing away from the knife edge. By a deviation from the radial, the Knife ground a clearance angle, as shown in Fig. 4.
In principle, every grinding tool can grind every knife proportionately. It but it is also possible that a single grinding tool one and the same Knife completely grinded.
