Definitions
- the invention relates to a golf training device with a guide rope which is stretched in a straight line between a first anchor point near the ground and a second anchor point located at a horizontal distance at an elevated level, further with a golf ball-like body which is guided along the guide rope by means of a hanger and with a baffle plate which is arranged in a neighboring area of the second anchor point in a plane at least approximately perpendicular to the guide rope,
- US-A-3460391 shows a golf training device with a frame which has a tube composed of individual rods, at the ends of which anchor points are formed for a tightly tensioned cable arrangement.
- the latter consists of two slightly diverging ropes from the first anchor point to the second anchor point, on which a slide is guided, which is carried along by the struck golf ball by means of a piece of rope on the way towards the second anchor point and is increasingly braked to a standstill.
- the path length of the sled is a measure of the impact strength.
- a baffle plate is missing, so that no impact point on it can be determined. The golf ball does not automatically return to the tee.
- the object of the invention is to improve the above-mentioned golf training device in such a way that the breakdown of the kinetic energy of the golf ball hitting takes place differently depending on the point of impact on the baffle plate, so that the subsequent downward movement of the golf ball allows conclusions to be drawn on the point of impact and / or the speed of impact .
- a golf training device of the type mentioned in that the two anchor points are connected to one another by a free-standing, elastically deformable carrier in such a way that the carrier and the guide rope form a closed tension system, in which the baffle plate is integrated in such a way that the baffle is on it impacting golf ball-like body sets the guide rope into vibration by momentary, mutually influencing deformations of the wearer in the region of its two anchor points.
- a closed energy absorption system which is independent of the ground is created, in which the impact energy of the struck body on the baffle plate leads to mutual elastic deformations of the ends of the carrier.
- the lower end of the beam in the area of the first anchor point deviates in the direction of the baffle plate due to the instantaneous increase in tension of the rope and, when springing back, causes the other end of the beam to deflect in the area of the second anchor point.
- the vibrating guide rope exerts a torsional force on the body via its hanger, which causes the body to rotate clockwise around the guide rope. With this circular movement of the body a considerable part of the kinetic energy is reduced. The body moves downward on a helical path until sufficient torque is released before it can be turned to let the first anchor point slide down.
- the golf training device according to the invention also indicates the power of impact. If the ball strikes the center of the baffle plate with excessive force, the guide rope is set into vibrations which run with high amplitude on both sides of the longitudinal direction of the guide rope.
- a closed voltage system is also formed in US-A-3460391, but this does not give any suggestion in the direction of the invention, because it is not the impact energy on the baffle plate which is reduced by the system generating vibrations, but the impact energy being converted into heat by friction
- An L-shaped support 10 consists of a base rod 12 and an upright rod 14, both of which consist of tubes which are inserted into one another and can be pulled out to different lengths.
- the free end of the base arm 12 lies on the floor.
- a first anchor point 18 is formed for a cable 20, which is guided to the free end of the upright arm 14, where the second anchor point 22 is located.
- the rope 20 passes through a hole in the upper end of the upright arm 14 and a rope clamp 24, by means of which the rope 20 can be put under tension.
- a golf ball-like body 26 is guided on the rope 20 by means of a hanger 28 which has a ring or loop 30 through which the rope 20 passes.
- a mat 32 lying on the floor which extends over the entire length of the base arm and has a sufficient thickness in the adjacent region of the support feet 16 in order to create a hole 34 of sufficient depth. This mat is used to train the so-called "putting”.
- a baffle plate 36 is attached to the cable 20 at a short distance from the upper second anchor point 22, which is contoured in a circle and is penetrated by cable 20 in the center. At the rear of the baffle plate 36 there is a clamping device 38 by means of which the baffle plate is anchored to the rope.
- a common, device-independent golf ball is used when putting on mat 32.
- the body 26 shown in the figures which can also consist of a golf ball, is on the other hand by means of the hanger 28, e.g. a thin flexible rope or spring wire permanently connected to the rope 20. If this body 26 is now hit against the baffle plate 36, an upward movement of the upright rod 14 occurs due to a momentary stretching of the cable 20, as a result of which the cable 20 is tensioned strongly and forces the base rod 12 to deform, which in turn relaxes the cable 20 leads. When the arms spring back, the tension-relaxation games of the rope 20 are repeated. Due to the amplitudes of the rope vibrations, the centrifugal forces of the body 26 connected to the rope via the suspension 28 are reduced, so that the body 26 on the rope 20 gradually coming to rest to the anchor point 18 can slide back.
- the device also makes it possible to see where the body 26 would have flown and how exactly the blow was carried out. If the body 26 strikes, for example, the right side of the baffle plate 36, the right side of the baffle plate deviates more than the left side, during the spring-back of the carrier there are lateral relief waves of the cable 20 which lead to the body 26 being around the cable 20 starts to circle clockwise. This type of golf shot is called “slice”. When the body 26 strikes the left side of the baffle plate 36, the body 26 experiences one Torque counterclockwise. The corresponding stroke is called a "hook".
- the body 26 If the body 26 is severely undercut during impact, the impact force is not sufficient to allow the body to reach the baffle plate 36. The braking effect on the rope is then too strong. If, on the other hand, the ball is played with too much force directly on the center of the baffle plate 36, the top-down relief wave brings about a very strong braking of the body. It therefore returns to anchor point 18 more slowly than would have been the case with a good, light and easy golf swing. With a perfect golf swing, the body 26 strikes close to the center of the flapper 36. The rope vibrates only with very small amplitudes, so that the braking effect of the suspension 28 remains small, so that the body 26 does not make any circular movements and returns to the tapping point with a minimal delay.
- the baffle plate 36 can be clamped anywhere along the rope, so that even very light golf shots, so-called “chips”, can be trained.
- the baffle plate 36 consists of a disc-shaped hollow body which generates a sound when the struck body 26 strikes.
- the pitch varies with the distance of the point of impact from the center. The lowest tone is produced by a point of impact of the body 26 close to the center.
- the bottom bar 12 has a length of 3.60 m and the upright bar 14 has a height of approximately 1.60 m.
- the two support feet 16 are approximately 0.65 m long.
- the golf training device has a carrier 11 in the form of a straight rod 40, the lower end of which is held in a support foot, into which two base arms 44 arranged in a V-shape and lying in one plane are inserted.
- the support foot 42 comprises a holding disc 46 which is pivotally mounted about a horizontal axis 47 and can be clamped in a continuously variable or finely variable manner in various pivoting positions.
- the inclination of the rod 40 and thus the height position of the baffle plate 36 arranged on the rod 40 can thus be adjusted.
- At the front end of the holding disk 46 of the support foot 42 there is a lateral extension arm 48 which forms the first anchor point for a rope 20.
- a corresponding cantilever arm 50 is located at the upper end of the rod 40.
- the cable 20 is stretched between its two anchor points.
- a closed voltage system is also created here.
- the cantilever arms 48, 50 are shown in this embodiment extremely short, so that the rope 20 is closely adjacent and parallel to the rod 40.
- brackets 48, 50 are longer than shown in FIG. 2, so that the cable 20 is at least at a distance from the rod 40 in the area in front of the baffle plate 36 which is at least equal to the length of the hanger 28 plus the diameter of the Body 26 is so that the body 26 can rotate freely around the rope 20.
- Rod 40 also need not necessarily be straight. A rod composed of several bent pipe sections is even advantageous in order to increase the amplitudes of the oscillation pattern of the rope 20.
- the rod 40 with the rope 20 then forms a so-called bow, as is used in archery.
- the curvature of the arc should not be uniform, but should be greatest in the area of the pallet plate, that is to say near the upper end of the rod, and can then gradually become weaker towards the support foot 42 or even run in a straight line.
- the rope 20 then forms an acute angle with at least the lower half of the rod 40.
- the baffle plate 36 is clamped to the rod 40 with the rear clamping device 38.
- the rope 20 passes through a hole 52 in the baffle plate 36.
- the rod 40 In order to achieve a sufficient vibration pattern when a body 26 strikes the baffle plate 36, the rod 40 must have a high degree of elastic flexibility.
- a baffle plate 36 with a rear cable clamp 38 as in FIG. 1 used, the baffle plate 36 being penetrated by the rod 40 with sufficient radial play. If the rod 40 is far enough from the cable 20 in the region of the baffle plate by a corresponding curvature of the rod, the rod does not run through the baffle plate 36 but at a distance from it.
- the cable clamp 38 is preferably connected to the baffle plate 36 by spring means 54 (FIG. 2A), which allow the baffle plate 36 to tilt on all sides to the axial direction of the cable clamp 38.
Description
The invention relates to a golf training device with a guide rope which is stretched in a straight line between a first anchor point near the ground and a second anchor point located at a horizontal distance at an elevated level, further with a golf ball-like body which is guided along the guide rope by means of a hanger and with a baffle plate which is arranged in a neighboring area of the second anchor point in a plane at least approximately perpendicular to the guide rope,
The two anchor points are each independently supported on the floor. At least the first anchor point close to the ground is formed by a ground anchor embedded in the ground. If the golf ball-like body hits the baffle plate at a speed of about 200 km / h, the kinetic energy must be abruptly reduced, otherwise damage to the plate or its suspension will occur. For this purpose, the known devices use dampers, which, however, act as a spring accumulator, which expands in the opposite direction after the compression and strongly accelerates the golf ball in the downward direction towards the first anchor point. Apart from the risk of an accident, these devices do not allow any conclusions to be drawn as to the position of the point of impact of the golf ball on the baffle plate.
Der Golfball kehrt auch nicht von selbst zur Abschlagstelle zurück.US-A-3460391 shows a golf training device with a frame which has a tube composed of individual rods, at the ends of which anchor points are formed for a tightly tensioned cable arrangement. The latter consists of two slightly diverging ropes from the first anchor point to the second anchor point, on which a slide is guided, which is carried along by the struck golf ball by means of a piece of rope on the way towards the second anchor point and is increasingly braked to a standstill. The path length of the sled is a measure of the impact strength. A baffle plate is missing, so that no impact point on it can be determined. The golf ball does not automatically return to the tee.
The object of the invention is to improve the above-mentioned golf training device in such a way that the breakdown of the kinetic energy of the golf ball hitting takes place differently depending on the point of impact on the baffle plate, so that the subsequent downward movement of the golf ball allows conclusions to be drawn on the point of impact and / or the speed of impact .
This object is achieved in a golf training device of the type mentioned in that the two anchor points are connected to one another by a free-standing, elastically deformable carrier in such a way that the carrier and the guide rope form a closed tension system, in which the baffle plate is integrated in such a way that the baffle is on it impacting golf ball-like body sets the guide rope into vibration by momentary, mutually influencing deformations of the wearer in the region of its two anchor points.
Thanks to the invention, a closed energy absorption system which is independent of the ground is created, in which the impact energy of the struck body on the baffle plate leads to mutual elastic deformations of the ends of the carrier. The lower end of the beam in the area of the first anchor point deviates in the direction of the baffle plate due to the instantaneous increase in tension of the rope and, when springing back, causes the other end of the beam to deflect in the area of the second anchor point. These repetitive deformations cause the rope to vibrate, the amplitudes of which run transversely to its longitudinal direction. The size of the amplitudes depends on the center distance of the impact point and the impact speed. If the body hits the right side of the baffle plate, for example, the vibrating guide rope exerts a torsional force on the body via its hanger, which causes the body to rotate clockwise around the guide rope. With this circular movement of the body a considerable part of the kinetic energy is reduced. The body moves downward on a helical path until sufficient torque is released before it can be turned to let the first anchor point slide down. The golf training device according to the invention also indicates the power of impact. If the ball strikes the center of the baffle plate with excessive force, the guide rope is set into vibrations which run with high amplitude on both sides of the longitudinal direction of the guide rope. These vibrations hold the body or its suspension in the area of the baffle plate, so that it can only slide down to the first anchor point after the vibrations have subsided. If, on the other hand, the body is hit into the center of the baffle plate with a suitable impact force, the vibration pattern of the system is also symmetrical to the longitudinal direction of the guide rope, but the vibration amplitudes are so low; that the hanger is not braked, so that the body almost instantaneously returns to the first anchor point. This vibration behavior results from the closed voltage system.
Zwar wird auch bei der US-A- 3460391 ein geschlossenes Spannungssystem gebildet, das aber in Richtung der Erfindung keine Anregung gibt, weil nicht die Auftreffenergie auf die Prallplatte durch Schwingungserzeugung des Systems abgebaut , sondern die Schlagenergie durch Reibung in Wärme verwandelt wirdA closed voltage system is also formed in US-A-3460391, but this does not give any suggestion in the direction of the invention, because it is not the impact energy on the baffle plate which is reduced by the system generating vibrations, but the impact energy being converted into heat by friction

Diese Matte dient zum Trainieren des sogenannten "Puttens".An L-shaped support 10 consists of a base rod 12 and an upright rod 14, both of which consist of tubes which are inserted into one another and can be pulled out to different lengths. In the area of the junction of the two arms 12, 14, laterally projecting support feet 16 are provided. The free end of the base arm 12 lies on the floor. At this end, a first anchor point 18 is formed for a cable 20, which is guided to the free end of the upright arm 14, where the second anchor point 22 is located. The rope 20 passes through a hole in the upper end of the upright arm 14 and a rope clamp 24, by means of which the rope 20 can be put under tension. A golf ball-like body 26 is guided on the rope 20 by means of a hanger 28 which has a ring or loop 30 through which the rope 20 passes. Next to the base arm 12 is a mat 32 lying on the floor, which extends over the entire length of the base arm and has a sufficient thickness in the adjacent region of the support feet 16 in order to create a hole 34 of sufficient depth. This mat is used to train the so-called "putting".
A baffle plate 36 is attached to the cable 20 at a short distance from the upper second anchor point 22, which is contoured in a circle and is penetrated by cable 20 in the center. At the rear of the baffle plate 36 there is a clamping device 38 by means of which the baffle plate is anchored to the rope.
A common, device-independent golf ball is used when putting on mat 32. The body 26 shown in the figures, which can also consist of a golf ball, is on the other hand by means of the hanger 28, e.g. a thin flexible rope or spring wire permanently connected to the rope 20.
The device also makes it possible to see where the body 26 would have flown and how exactly the blow was carried out. This type of golf shot is called "slice". When the body 26 strikes the left side of the baffle plate 36, the body 26 experiences one Torque counterclockwise. The corresponding stroke is called a "hook".
If the body 26 is severely undercut during impact, the impact force is not sufficient to allow the body to reach the baffle plate 36.
The baffle plate 36 can be clamped anywhere along the rope, so that even very light golf shots, so-called "chips", can be trained.
Den tiefsten Ton erzeugt ein zentrumsnaher Aufreffpunkt des Körpers 26.Finally, it should be pointed out that the baffle plate 36 consists of a disc-shaped hollow body which generates a sound when the struck body 26 strikes. The pitch varies with the distance of the point of impact from the center. The lowest tone is produced by a point of impact of the body 26 close to the center.
In the embodiment shown in FIG. 1, the bottom bar 12 has a length of 3.60 m and the upright bar 14 has a height of approximately 1.60 m. The two support feet 16 are approximately 0.65 m long.
The golf training device according to FIG. 2 and 3 has a carrier 11 in the form of a straight rod 40, the lower end of which is held in a support foot, into which two base arms 44 arranged in a V-shape and lying in one plane are inserted. The support foot 42 comprises a holding disc 46 which is pivotally mounted about a horizontal axis 47 and can be clamped in a continuously variable or finely variable manner in various pivoting positions. On this holding disc 46 there is an insertion channel for the rod 40. The inclination of the rod 40 and thus the height position of the baffle plate 36 arranged on the rod 40 can thus be adjusted. At the front end of the holding disk 46 of the support foot 42 there is a lateral extension arm 48 which forms the first anchor point for a rope 20. A corresponding cantilever arm 50 is located at the upper end of the rod 40. By means of the cable clamp 24 already described, the cable 20 is stretched between its two anchor points. A closed voltage system is also created here. The cantilever arms 48, 50 are shown in this embodiment extremely short, so that the rope 20 is closely adjacent and parallel to the rod 40.
In an advantageous modification, not shown, the brackets 48, 50 are longer than shown in FIG. 2, so that the cable 20 is at least at a distance from the rod 40 in the area in front of the baffle plate 36 which is at least equal to the length of the hanger 28 plus the diameter of the Body 26 is so that the body 26 can rotate freely around the rope 20.
Rod 40 also need not necessarily be straight. A rod composed of several bent pipe sections is even advantageous in order to increase the amplitudes of the oscillation pattern of the rope 20. The rod 40 with the rope 20 then forms a so-called bow, as is used in archery. However, the curvature of the arc should not be uniform, but should be greatest in the area of the pallet plate, that is to say near the upper end of the rod, and can then gradually become weaker towards the support foot 42 or even run in a straight line. The rope 20 then forms an acute angle with at least the lower half of the rod 40.
In the exemplary embodiment according to FIGS. 2 and 3, the baffle plate 36 is clamped to the rod 40 with the rear clamping device 38. The rope 20 passes through a hole 52 in the baffle plate 36. In order to achieve a sufficient vibration pattern when a body 26 strikes the baffle plate 36, the rod 40 must have a high degree of elastic flexibility.
In an advantageous modification of FIG. 2, a baffle plate 36 with a rear cable clamp 38 as in FIG.
The cable clamp 38 is preferably connected to the baffle plate 36 by spring means 54 (FIG. 2A), which allow the baffle plate 36 to tilt on all sides to the axial direction of the cable clamp 38.
