Abstract

A mechanism to control and monitor a yarn cutter, at a loom, generates at least one electrical signal on rotation of the drive motor shaft, which is passed by the control electronics to the loom control. On the omission of a signal, the weaving action is stopped. Also claimed is an apparatus with a monitor (4) at the shaft of the electromotor (10) or at least at the shaft shrouding. A second monitor (3) is outside the rotating zone of the motor shaft. Both monitors (3,4) register the motor shaft rotation.

Description

The invention relates to a method for controlling and monitoring the cutting function of a electric motor driven thread scissors in weaving machines according to the generic term of Claims 1 and 10.

Der Zeitpunkt des Schneidevorgangs ist deshalb in Bezug auf den Webzyklus fest vorgegeben und nicht oder nur durch größere mechanische Umbauten veranderbar.DE 40 00 856 A1 describes a thread scissors for severing the weft thread known in looms, which with a cam mechanism or the like with Main drive of the loom is mechanically coupled. The thread scissors work synchronously with Machine rhythm. The time of the cutting process is therefore in relation to the Fixed weaving cycle and not or only through major mechanical conversions changeable.

A much more flexible thread scissors for weft threads is known from EP 0 284 766 B1. This thread scissors has a drive independent of the main drive, so that the time the cutting process in relation to the weaving cycle by means of a programmable control can be specified arbitrarily. The drive consists of a stepper motor on its Shaft the movable cutting edge is attached, the motor shaft of the stepper motor alternately driven forward and backward.

However, the alternating forward and reverse turning of the motor shaft has the disadvantage that the stepper motor high stress and high wear due to continuous Acceleration and braking processes is exposed. Furthermore, there is no monitoring of the Thread scissors are provided for function or damage.

The object of the invention is a method for controlling and monitoring the cutting function an electric motor driven thread scissors and a thread scissors, in particular for Detaching catch strips to create, which both great flexibility in execution the cutting function allows, as well as in the most varied of mechanical conditions and can be used in a wide variety of local locations. Another task is to increase the life of the scissor drive and one Provide monitoring for function and damage to the thread scissors.

To achieve the object, the invention is based on the technical teaching of the claim 1 and of claim 10.

This has the advantage that e.g. the motor of a safety edge shear during the operation of the Thread scissors can be operated continuously in one direction of rotation and no start and Must go through stop cycles. This increases the service life of the engine.

The engine speed and thus the cutting cycle and cutting time is one electronic control controlled and monitored, which is advantageous in the machine control is integrated and can be programmed via the operator terminal.

The rotation of the motor shaft is monitored by a monitoring device in the form of a sensor supervised. A magnetic one is preferred due to the ambient conditions Sensor (Hall sensor) used. Of course, optical, capacitive, inductive or other transducers can be used if the special application requires it. Can be advantageous through this type of monitoring both defects of the drive motor and breakage or Jamming of the movable scissor part of the thread scissors are detected.

To increase the service life of the thread scissors, it is provided that the speed of the motor shaft of the Scissor motor in an arbitrarily adjustable ratio to the speed of the main shaft of the Weaving machine drive can be operated. That means that with a fabric with relative high weft density the thread scissors cut, for example, in a ratio of 1: 5 to the weft insertion, that is, after every fifth weft insertion, a single cutting operation for several weft threads takes place, which are tied in the fabric and a catch strip. So there are the weft threads cut the last 5 weft entries between the fabric and the catch bar.

It is also advantageous that, depending on the weft material and the weaving pattern, too during a repeat weaving (weaving with high weft density) different Speed ratios can exist.

The thread scissors according to the invention are particularly suitable for cutting off catch strips, because the predeterminable speed ratio of the scissors drive to the main shaft drive Weaving machine advantageously several weft threads already registered with one single cutting process can be cut.

Due to the great flexibility in assembly and control, the thread scissors can as well as a so-called center separating device for separating a fabric web against the Weaving direction can be used, or to separate each individual entered Weft.

The invention is explained below using an exemplary embodiment.

  • Figur 1 zeigt ein Blockschaltbild zur Steuerung des Scherenantriebs durch die Webmaschinensteuerung und den Signalfluß der Überwachungseinrichtung zur Webmaschinensteuerung;
  • Further features and advantages of the invention result from the drawings and their description.
  • Figure 1 shows a block diagram for controlling the scissors drive by the weaving machine control and the signal flow of the monitoring device for weaving machine control;
  • Figure 2 shows schematically the possible structure and operation of the thread scissors.
In Figure 1, the drive 10 of the thread scissors with a control electronics 2 and the signal-transmitting connection 5,6 to the weaving machine control 1 is shown. The drive comprises an electric motor 10, which is preferably designed as a stepper motor, and one Control electronics 2 for controlling the motor functions.

Drehzahl, Drehrichtung, Synchronisationssignale etc.The control electronics 2 are connected to the weaving machine control system 1 via a signal line 5 connected and receives from this control information for controlling the motor, e.g. Speed, direction of rotation, synchronization signals etc.

The speed of the motor 10 pre-programmed in the loom control 1 Safety edge scissors 7 are monitored by a monitoring device 3, 4, which is operated via a Signal line 3a is connected to the control electronics 2, which in turn with the Loom control 1 is connected via the signal line 6. A control loop is created that allows reliable monitoring of the function of the motor of the thread scissors. The device 3 is preferably designed as a magnetic pickup. This is on the Motor shaft 11 of the motor 10 or the device 4 on a part firmly connected to it arranged, which is a permanent magnet, the with each full rotation of the motor shaft 11 Transducer 3 passes and a signal from the control electronics 2 is detected, which is via the Signal line 6 of the weaving machine control 1 is fed.

If a defect occurs in the motor 10 or the thread scissors are jammed, this will not occur Rotation of the motor shaft 11. Consequently, the pickup 3 is not energized. The control electronics 2 sends a false signal to the weaving machine control 1. In the weaving machine control there is then a false signal evaluation, the result of which is e.g. stopping the Weaving process is effected.

A possible design of the thread scissors is shown schematically in Figure 2. The Thread scissors 7 consists of a fixed scissor part 8 and a movable Scissor part 9. On the fixed scissor part 8, the motor 10 is arranged, which on it Motor shaft 11 carries a drive plate 12. The motor shaft 11 rotates in a direction 15 at specifiable speed.

The movable scissor part 9 is in relation to the fixed scissor part 8 about the scissor axis 8a is arranged pivotably and comprises at the end opposite the cutting edge Elongated hole 14 in which a driver pin 13 engages. The driver pin 13 is fixed in Edge area of the drive plate 12 arranged. Due to the eccentric arrangement of the driving pin 13 with respect to the motor shaft 11 the rotational movement of the motor shaft 11 into a cutting movement of the movable Scissor part 9 implemented in a direction of the double arrow 16. A full rotation of the motor shaft 11 of the motor 10 corresponds to a cutting cycle Thread scissors 7.

The monitoring device 3, 4 is arranged on the motor 10 and comprises one Permanent magnet 4, e.g. is arranged on the drive plate 12 and the at each Rotation of the shaft 11 of the motor a fixed magnetic pickup 3, e.g. passed a Hall sensor. The Hall sensor inputs each time the motor shaft 11 is rotated electrical signal to the control electronics 2. For some reason the motor stops rotating or does not occur predictable irregularities, this is recognized by the control electronics 2 and inputs Error signal to the weaving machine control 1. An error routine is then initiated and, if necessary, the weaving process is stopped.

An electric motor drive a thread scissors, the motor shaft according to the state of the Technology alternating forwards and backwards, i.e. performing a partial rotation, can also are monitored according to the invention. Such thread scissors are used as weft scissors Use. When controlling the weft scissors, however, the ratio of Partial rotation of the motor shaft of the scissor motor to the speed of the main shaft of the Loom drive does not matter.
