Abstract

Bei Anlagen zum Auswalzen von Warmbreitband (11) aus dünnen bzw. mitteldicken Brammen ist üblicherweise zwischen der Gießanlage (1) und dem Walzwerk (6) ein Durchlaufofen (2, 3) angeordnet, in dem die für den Walzprozess notwendige Brammenendtemperatur eingestellt wird. Gemäß der Erfindung wird vorgeschlagen, mangelhafte Brammenabschnitte in einer Oberflächenbearbeitungsvorrichtung (4), die Inline (auf der Fertigungslinie x) in eine Lücke des aus Segmenten bestehenden Durchlaufofens (3) angeordnet ist, durch Schleifen oder durch Flämmen zu bearbeiten.
