Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a pocket having a flexible external envelope comprising a collar followed by a flared part, the neck having a free end delimiting an opening, the pocket being likely to adopt a flattened configuration in which the aperture is closed, however the cervix is likely to adopt a substantially tubular configuration in which the opening is open, the pocket being, moreover, provided with a reinforcing element disposed at least near the free end of the neck.
  • Pockets of this type are used to receive waste in generally liquid form, including original waste human such as urine or vomit. These pockets show up normally in their flattened shape and are open to receive waste. On this occasion, the pocket is held in the vicinity of the free end of the neck to force the latter to adopt its substantially tubular configuration. Once the waste has been introduced, it is enough to release the free end of the neck so that it naturally resumes its flattened configuration, thus closing the opening.
  • Such bags are commonly made using sheets thin paper or plastic, possibly transparent, with the flexibility you want.
  • the reinforcing element is deformed by the user, which constrains the part of the neck arranged around of this element to adopt the desired tubular configuration.
  • the transverse dimensions of the opening are chosen from appropriately for the use you wish to make of the pocket. Generally, especially when the bag is intended to receive urine or vomit, the opening must be able to be handled with just one hand, so that its transverse dimensions are clearly smaller than the current transverse dimensions of the pocket.
  • its maximum width and that of the opening can vary respectively between 15 and 20 cm and between 4 and 10 cm, depending on whether the user is an adult or a child.
  • the reinforcing element makes it possible to open the opening of the upper end of the neck by bringing the two longitudinal edges together of this element which determine its maximum width in the configuration flattened.
  • this element due to the flexibility of the material which constitutes the outer envelope of the pocket, there is a risk that only the collar is suitably open, while the rest of the outer casing remains flat, the leaves which constitute this envelope having naturally tendency to remain "glued" to each other. Therefore, when use, there is a risk of outward flow back to the product poured into the pocket.
  • the object of the invention is to remedy this drawback by proposing a pocket for which the passage to the tubular configuration of the neck ensures the spacing of the walls of the external envelope not only in the region of this pass, but also at least in the region of the flared part near the neck.
  • the reinforcing element is consisting of a relatively rigid and flexible sleeve disposed at inside the pocket, this sleeve extending into the neck from a first end located near the opening, up to a second end located on the side of the flared part, that the sleeve presents, in the vicinity of the base of the neck connected to the flared part, a cut on either side of which are delimited a first portion located on the side of the first end of the sleeve and a second portion located on the side of the second end of said sleeve, the second portion being provided with at least two legs substantially facing each other and having free lateral ends, and that, in the flattened configuration of the pocket, the sleeve is itself flattened and has two wall elements arranged one against the other, while, to bring the neck into its configuration substantially tubular and open the opening, the sleeve may be deformed elastically to adopt a so-called "open" configuration, in which the first portion is substantially
  • the deformation of the sleeve not only brings the neck to its diameter opening thanks to the first portion of the sleeve, but also to spread the walls of the pocket at least in the flared part of its outer shell due to the spacing of the legs which equip the second portion of the sleeve.
  • the sleeve is "relatively rigid and flexible "means that it is made of a material with rigidity greater than that of the external wall of the pocket.
  • the sleeve can be made of light cardboard or plastic of thickness greater than that of the plastic which constitutes the external wall.
  • the sleeve includes a holding member in the opening configuration, capable of being actuated to maintain said sleeve in its open conformation.
  • FIG. 1 shows a safety pocket 10, for example intended to be used as urinal.
  • This pocket has an envelope external 12 which is flexible.
  • This envelope is for example produced at from two thin sheets of plastic cut so suitable and welded to each other over almost the entire outline, by a weld line 14.
  • the flared portion had another conformation, for example a frustoconical shape symmetrical about the D axis
  • this cutting extends, in the direction from edge 22c to opposite edge 22d, beyond of the axis D.
  • the ends 26b of the legs are connected to the part current of the sleeve in a region on which the walls of the sleeve diverge in open configuration, that is to say that they move apart from each other, when the sleeve is opened.
  • the legs being relatively rigid, they thus tend, when the sleeve is open, to move away in the divergent direction given by the walls of the sleeve in the region of their internal ends 26b. So even if the pocket walls have a tendency to resist the spacing of the legs 26, it can be ensured that the spacing e between the ends 26a of these legs is sufficient. So that the legs have the desired stiffness, it is however preferable that the cut 24 does not does not extend too far beyond the D axis but only exceeds by a few millimeters.
  • the sleeve comprises two similar plates 25a and 25b which constitute respectively the first and second wall elements that presents the sleeve in its flattened configuration.
  • These plates are naturally flat and made of light cardboard or plastic relatively rigid and flexible.
  • the plates are respectively fixed (for example by gluing or welding) on the internal faces of the pocket which are facing each other when it occupies its flattened configuration.
  • the plates are fixed so that their longitudinal ends are adjacent two by two and respectively adjacent to the two longitudinal edges presented by the neck 16 in the flattened pocket configuration.
  • the two longitudinal edges of the plates respectively define the edges 22c and 22d of the sleeve previously mentioned and are not designated by other references.
  • each plate has a substantially transverse notch, respectively 24a and 24b.
  • first and a second portion which extend respectively on either side of this notch and which correspond respectively to the first and second portions of the muff.
  • another cut making the ends side of the free legs is not necessary since these ends normally coincide with the longitudinal edges of the pads which are initially separated from each other and are simply kept in position thanks to the fact that the width of the first portions platelets is substantially equal to that of the cervix.
  • the two legs are formed by the portions of the pads located between their respective cutout and that of their ends which is directed towards the inside of the pocket.
  • Each plate has two edges longitudinal which are respectively located in the vicinity of the two edges the neck presents when the pocket is in its flattened configuration.
  • the lateral ends 26a of the legs are rounded to avoid injuring the walls of the pocket when their spacing.
  • the upper edges 26c of the legs i.e. the edges which face the opening of the pocket, do not are not completely transverse but are slightly inclined so to extend substantially parallel to the flared portion of the envelope outer pocket, more precisely on its edge 12c. Therefore, the legs have a shape perfectly suited to that of the flared portion of the pocket in which they are located and open the latter without difficulty.
  • the sleeve 22 has a extension 27 which extends outwards beyond the opening 17.
  • This extension is provided with means to facilitate the passage of the flattened configuration of the sleeve to its tubular configuration. It is gripping means which make it possible to grasp the facing walls well the sleeve to spread them slightly while bringing the edges together 22c and 22d. In the example of FIGS. 1 and 2, these means grip are simply formed by two tabs 27a and 27b which respectively equip the two walls of the sleeve parallel to the two walls facing the pocket.
  • FIG. 3 shows an alternative embodiment, in which, for simplify, the outline of the envelope is simply indicated by lines mixed interrupted.
  • the extension 127 of the sleeve 122 has two tabs, respectively 127a and 127b, which, unlike the example in Figure 2, do not have the same shape. In effect, these two tabs have two gripping surfaces staggered. To make these surfaces, just cut the extension 127 of each of the two wall elements of the sleeve or of each of its two facing walls, asymmetrically with respect to the axis D. Thus, a cut portion of the extension of the first wafer is located opposite a portion that remains full of the extension of the second brochure.
  • the sleeve has a folding zone 240, better visible in Figure 5, on either side of which extend its two wall elements 225a and 225b.
  • a cutout 242 is formed in the sleeve and extends on either side of the folding zone, advantageously symmetrically with respect to the latter. This cutout 242 leaves a tab 244 which, as seen on Figure 6, can be folded on itself. In this situation, the line of fold 246 of the tongue extends substantially transversely to the folding zone 240 and somehow breaks the continuity of this folding area, which prevents the two wall elements 225a and 225b to fall back against each other. Tab 244, once it is folded as shown in Figure 6, therefore keeps the sleeve in its open configuration.
  • the cutout 242 can for example have substantially the shape of a "V” as in the figures, that of an inverted “V” or another form of the same type.
  • the tongue 244 is located in the extension 227 of the sleeve which extends outwards beyond the opening 217, this which allows this tab to be folded outwards from the sleeve. It is however possible to choose to fold it towards the inside of the sleeve, and it can be located in the part of the sleeve extending into the pocket.
  • the tongue 244 is arranged in the sleeve region opposite the free ends of tabs 226.
  • the sleeve is made in one single piece and is formed in a wafer which is folded back on itself according to a folding zone 240.
  • a folding zone 240 it is also possible to choose not to crush the folding zone 240 to form a real fold only over a height h from the second end 222b of the sleeve, which facilitates the transition from the flattened configuration to the open configuration of the sleeve.
  • the part upper 27, 127 or 227 of the sleeve can be shaped so as to adapt to the user's gender (male or female), one piece additional adaptation that may be expected.
  • the shape of the first end 22a or 222 does not matter, it suffices that the tubular part of the sleeve in the open configuration of the latter has a sufficient diameter.
  • the first end 222a of the sleeve has an edge concave, symmetrical with respect to the plane of flattening of the sleeve.
  • the edge of the sleeve can be spread so as to free the urethral meatus by adapting as best as possible to the conformation of the user's gender, without risk of leakage during urination.
  • the pocket may have a valve security, for example consisting of several internal sheets arranged against each of the walls of the pocket.
  • this valve thus comprises, for each wall of the pocket, a first pair of sheets 30 which extends from the opening to a middle region of the pocket.
  • the valve also has a second pair of sheets 32 which extends inside the pair 30, also at from the opening, over a slightly shorter length than that of the pair 30.
  • the pair of sheets 30 and the pair of sheets 32 are welded together by regularly spaced solder points 31.
  • the valve finally has a third pair of sheets 34 which extends inside of pair 32 over an even shorter length than that of pair 32 and which is soldered to pairs 30 and 32 by solder points 33 which are regularly spaced and offset from the welding point 31.
  • the "internal wall" of the pocket is defined, in the neck region, by the internal faces opposite the two leaves of the innermost pair 34.
  • the sleeve is therefore in contact with these faces internal.
  • the first (respectively the second) sheets of each pair 30, 32, 34 are sandwiched between a first (respectively a second) wall of the sleeve (plate 25a or 25b) and a first (respectively a second) wall of the envelope external 12.
  • the welds 15a and 15b therefore weld together, of each side of the pocket, a wall of the sleeve, a sheet of each pair 30, 32, 34 and a wall of the envelope 12.
  • the pocket provided with the sleeve according to the invention can have a different safety valve or, depending on the applications do not have a valve.
