said cap (1) being characterised in that it comprises an annular tamper-revealing strip (45), in that the engagement girdle is interrupted at the hinge, and in that the parts of the cap which form the hinge (29) are provided with second engagement means (30) co-operating with said complementary engagement means (6) arranged on the neck (2) of the bottle (3), so that when the stopper is closed (4), the engagement girdle (5) remains in a predetermined, substantially fixed position and does so in particular in the vicinity of the parts of the cap which form the hinge (29). - Cap according to claim 1, characterised in that the first engagement means (23) are formed by a projecting annular retainer ring on the inside of the engagement girdle (5) of the cap (1), said retainer ring co-operating by clip action with a first annular projection (6) on the outside of the neck (2) of the bottle (3) which forms the complementary engagement means.
- Cap according to claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the second engagement means (30) are formed by a projection on the inside of the parts of the cap which form the hinge (29), this projection on the inside of the hinge (29) co-operating by clip action with a projection (6) on the outside of the neck (2) of the bottle (3).
- Cap according to claim 3, characterised in that the projection (30) on the inside of the hinge is arranged substantially in the same plane as the projecting annular retainer ring (23) on the inside of the engagement girdle (5) of the cap (1), the projection on the outside of the neck (2) of the bottle (3) which co-operates with the projection (30) on the inside of the hinges (29) being a part of the first annular projection (6) on the outside of the neck (2) of the bottle (3) which forms the complementary engagement means.
- Cap according to any of claims 2 to 4, characterised in that the part of the cap (1) which forms the hinge (29) comprises a joint zone for the pivoting movement of the stopper (4), said joint zone (28) being arranged substantially in a plane lower than the plane of the projecting annular retainer ring (23) on the inside of the engagement girdle (5).
- Cap according to claim 5, characterised in that the joint zone (28) is formed by a thinning-down of the wall of the engagement girdle (5).
- Cap according to any of claims 1 to 6, characterised in that the stopper (4) comprises:an end wall (31),a lateral skirt (38) rigidly associated with a first end of the hinge (29) of the cap (1), said first end being arranged in a plane situated above the plane of the first annular projection (6) on the outside of the neck (2) of the bottle (3).
- Cap according to any of claims 1 to 7, characterised in that the stopper (4) comprises an inner, projecting annular wall (32) which co-operates with the lateral inside surface (35) of the neck (2) of the bottle (3) when the stopper (4) is in the position where the cap (1) is closed.
- Cap according to claim 8, characterised in that the stopper (4) comprises a step (37) on its lateral skirt (38) opposite the hinge (29) of the cap (1), said step making the stopper (4) easier to open by hand.
- Cap according to any of claims 1 to 9, characterised in that the annular tamper-revealing strip (45) is arranged between the engagement girdle (5) and the stopper (4) of the cap (1).
- Cap according to claim 10, characterised in that the annular tamper-revealing strip (45) comprises an end forming a removal tab (46), said end (46) at least partly covering the zone of the cap (1) which forms the hinge (29).
- Cap according to any of claims 1 to 11, characterised in that it is all in one piece.
- Cap according to any of claims 1 to 11, characterised in that it is in a plurality of pieces.
- Cap according to any of claims 1 to 13, characterised in that it is made of a material selected from the group comprising: polypropylene, polyethylene, ethylene terephthalate, polybutylene terephthalate.
