- a clean white blouse, having a fiber content of 6% acetate and 40% rayon and designated by the manufacturer as "dry clean only" on its label was laid on a hard flat surface.
- To four non-contiguous regions of the sweater were applied 0.2 grams of a liquid make-up composition, 0.0015 grams of a lipstick composition, 0.10 grams of a tomato sauce composition and 0.10 grams of a salad dressing compositions. These stains were permitted to set in to the garment overnight.
- control blouse was sent off to a commercial dry cleaning establishment where it was processed according to convention methods and returned at a later date.
- the remaining blouse was laid with the stained surface down upon laying of absorbent paper towels and through the obverse side, or back side of the sweater from the stained areas were applied a sufficient quantity of the especially advantageous spot cleaning composition described above.
- This spot cleaning composition was applied utilizing an absorbent tip dispenser in a brush stroking fashion to impart linear strokes; application of the spot cleaning composition continued until it was observed that substantially all of the stains were removed from the stained garment and transferred to the clean paper towel which acted as an absorbing and stain entraining substrate It is to be noted that cleaning the stains using the spot cleaning composition through the obverse side of the sweater did not force the migration of the soil or stain through the textile, but rather forced the stains directly from the sweater's surface to the surface of the paper towel.
- the sealed containment bag and its contents were then inserted into the interior of a domestic dry cleaning apparatus which was then operated on a ''fluff" cycle for 20 minutes to allow the tumbling of both the blouse and the liquid cleaning composition entrained polymeric foam cube during this interval. During this time, no heat was applied to the new bag or its contents by the dryer apparatus, and the containment bag was observed to expand or billow which permitted effective tumbling of the foam cube and the contained blouse.
- This blouse was compared to the control blouse which had been cleaned by a conventional dry cleaning establishment. Also, no shrinkage or color change was observed in the control blouse, and the four stains were also effectively removed.

Abstract
Claims (13)
- Composition de nettoyage à sec domestique, consistant en :0,01 à 0,15 % en poids d'un agent tensio-actif non ionique,0,01 à 2,5 % en poids d'un agent tensio-actif anionique choisi entre des alkylsulfosuccinates, des alkyléthersulfosuccinates, des alkylamide-sulfosuccinates, des alkylsulfosuccinamates et leurs sels,0, à 1 % en poids d'un agent tensio-actif fluoré,1,0 à 5,0 % en poids d'un solvant organique choisi entre des alcools et des éthers de glycols,0 à 2 % en poids d'un ou plusieurs constituants facultatifs choisis entre : un agent d'ajustement du pH, un parfum et un adjuvant de parfum, ou un conservateur,pour 100 % en poids d'eau.
- Composition de nettoyage à sec domestique suivant la revendication 1, dans laquelle l'agent tensio-actif non ionique est un phénol alkoxylé non ionique hydrosoluble.
- Composition de nettoyage à sec domestique suivant la revendication 1 ou 2, dans laquelle l'agent tensio-actif non ionique est un alcool primaire ou alcool secondaire alkoxylé non ionique hydrosoluble.
- Composition de nettoyage à sec domestique suivant la revendication 1 ou 2, dans laquelle l'agent tensio-actif non ionique est présent en une quantité de 0,1 à 0,15 % en poids.
- Composition de nettoyage à sec domestique suivant la revendication 1 ou 2, dans laquelle l'agent tensio-actif non ionique est présent en une quantité de 0,01 à environ 2,0 % en poids, de préférence de 0,01 à environ 1,0.
- Composition de nettoyage à sec domestique suivant la revendication 1 ou 2, qui comprend un agent tensio-actif fluoré.
- Composition de nettoyage à sec domestique suivant la revendication 1 ou 2, dans laquelle le solvant organique est présent en une quantité de 1,0 à 3,0 % en poids.
- Composition de nettoyage à sec domestique suivant la revendication 1 ou 2, dans laquelle l'eau représente au moins environ 90 % en poids de la composition totale.
- Procédé pour le nettoyage à sec domestique d'une matière textile ou d'un vêtement, qui comprend les étapes consistant :à mettre en contact une quantité d'une composition de nettoyage à sec domestique suivant l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 8 avec la matière textile ou le vêtement au cours de l'agitation au tambour dans un appareil de séchage.
- Procédé suivant la revendication 9, qui comprend l'étape supplémentaire de procédé consistant :à prétraiter une tache avec une composition d'élimination des taches avant la mise en contact d'une quantité d'une composition de nettoyage à sec domestique suivant l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 8 avec le vêtement ou la matière textile.
- Procédé suivant la revendication 10, qui comprend les étapes supplémentaires de procédé consistant :à insérer la matière textile ou le vêtement à l'intérieur d'un sac de confinement,à introduire une quantité de la composition de nettoyage à sec domestique à l'intérieur du sac de confinement,à fermer le sac de confinement,à insérer le sac de confinement contenant la matière textile ou le vêtement à l'intérieur d'un appareil de séchage, età faire fonctionner l'appareil de séchage pour agiter au tambour et répartir la composition de nettoyage à sec domestique sur la surface de la matière textile ou du vêtement présent dans le sac de confinement.
- Procédé suivant la revendication 11, dans lequel une composition de nettoyage à sec domestique suivant la revendication 1 est appliquée à une surface intérieure absorbante du sac de confinement.
- Kit de nettoyage à sec domestique, qui comprend un sac de confinement, une quantité de la composition nettoyante suivant l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 8 et un moyen de distribution pour distribuer la composition nettoyante à des vêtements ou matières textiles.
