Description

The invention relates to a container for ammunition according to the preamble of claim 1.

The supply of artillery troops with ammunition is personnel and material intensive for the supply troop intended for this purpose. The rationalization of this supply unit is of particular importance due to the desired reduction in the number of troops in the supply force.

Said supply is carried out, for example, with the aid of an interchangeable loading system consisting of a suitable vehicle, an associated interchangeable loading platform and an interchangeable loading device. Extensive investigations over the past few years have led to the result that personnel and material savings can be made with such a removable loading system in combination with removable removable loading platforms. In addition, it has been shown that such an interchangeable loading system shortens the turnaround times for handling, storage and transportation of ammunition or of Supplies, are achievable. These studies result in the armaments project called MULTI (-Mobile handling, storage and transport integration). The MULTI interchangeable loading system is primarily intended to supply the artillery troop with bulk consumer ammunition, in particular with 155 mm artillery ammunition.

The invention has for its object to provide a container of the type mentioned, which enables rapid center of gravity formation, an increase in storage capacity for moving ammunition ready hei a reduction in turnover and which enables optimization of transport capacity.

This object is achieved according to the invention in a container of the type mentioned at the outset by the features of the characterizing part of claim 1. Preferred training Developments of the container according to the invention are characterized in the subclaims.

The container according to the invention has the advantage that it is optimally suited for the above-mentioned armament project called MULTI, ie it enables the supply and ammunition supply of the artillery force to be rationalized by the supply force. The container according to the invention permits the integration of all the projectiles that have been introduced, in particular 155 mm projectiles and propellant charges, and thus contributes significantly to the ability to quickly establish a center of gravity, to a rapid changeover and to an increase in the storage capacities for the mobile ammunition to be kept ready. In addition, a need-based removal is advantageously possible without an unwanted or unwanted breaking of the so-called MULTI loading. The container according to the invention is in advantageously realized in a lightweight construction and it is equally well suited for projectiles and for propellant charges provided in propellant charge containers. A transport or propellant charge container provided for a number of propellant charges is described in the applicant's patent application 196 19 191.2. In the container according to the invention, it is possible to safely and reliably accommodate a defined number of such propellant charge containers. The container according to the invention thus forms either a floor pallet or a propellant pallet. It is compatible with the MULTI system and enables fast handling, safe storage and removal according to requirements with minimal expenditure of personnel and time - as already mentioned.

The container according to the invention in the form of the floor pallet allows the storage and transport of all types of floors introduced, in particular for artillery ammunition 155 mm, also in an ignited form. The container in the form of the propellant charge pallet advantageously allows the integration of all introduced propellant charges and also the integration of the new modular propellant charge to be introduced. With a suitable slight adaptation, the propellant pallet also offers the possibility of being used as a packaging unit for SMArt. Storey and propellant pallets are designed in such a way that they can be combined as a MULTI loading unit. This loading unit can contain, for example, 180 rounds of artillery ammunition 155 mm with associated propellant charges and igniters, which can be pre-assembled in a depot.

Figures 1 and 2 show an embodiment of the container 10, which is intended for ammunition in the form of projectiles 12. Figures 1 and 2 show bullets 12 in the form of artillery ammunition 155 mm, bullets 12 of different lengths are shown schematically with dashed thin lines. In the respective container 10 there are of course only floors 12 of the same type, i.e. same axial dimensions housed.

Fig. 2) und 20 (sh. The container 10 has a bottom 14, from which corner pillars 16 protrude upwards. The four corner pillars 16 define two pairs of side faces 18 (see FIG. 2) and 20 (see FIG. 1), the two opposite side faces 18 each having one Bracing 22 are provided, as can be seen from Fig. 2.

The bottom 14 is formed like a pallet with openings 24, which are provided for inserting the forks of a forklift.

The braced side surfaces 18 are provided at the upper end 26 of the corner pillars 16 with cross struts 28 which extend between the corresponding corner pillars 16. The cross struts 28 are spaced apart from one another by the base 14, so that it is possible to stack containers 10 on top of one another as desired.

Fig. 1) verschwenkbar ist. A walk-on cover 30 is provided on the top of the container 10 and can be pivoted about an axis 32 (see FIG. 1). The axis 32 is fixed, for example, by two pins 34 which are axially aligned with one another and which extend into associated tabs 36 which project inward from the corner pillars 16 which determine the braced side surfaces 18.

For the exact positioning and fixing of the corresponding projectiles 12, the bottom 14 of the container 10 is provided on the top with positioning elements 38. The positioning elements 38 serve to fix the bottom end 40 of the respective storey 12. In addition, an intermediate plate 42 is provided between the corner columns 16 with limited movement, ie, adjustable in height, which is designed to insert and hold the head sections 44 of storeys 12 with holes 46. To reliably hold the head sections 44 of the projectiles 12 without shaking, the edge 48 of each hole 46 is provided with a ring element 50 made of elastically resilient material. The ring elements 50 are forced against the associated projectiles 12 or their head sections 44 by pulling the intermediate plate 42 toward the bottom 14 of the container 10 with the aid of tensioning belts 52. 1 shows one of these tension belts 52.

To limit the vertical mobility of the intermediate plate 42, the corner pillars 16 are provided with stops 54 and 56, which make it possible to reliably store projectiles 12 of different length dimensions in the container 10.

Fig. 2) festlegbar. To protect the fired head sections 44 of the projectiles 12, a cap element 58 can be fixed on the intermediate plate 42, for example with the aid of a tension belt 60 (see FIG. 2).

Fig. 4) und 20 (sh. Fig. 3) fest. Das ist in Fig. 3 auch durch Querstreben 28 angedeutet, die dem Boden 14 zugeordnet sind.FIGS. 3 and 4 show another design of the container 10, which is not intended for projectiles 12 but for propellant charges provided in propellant charge containers 62. FIGS. 3 and 4 only schematically illustrate two such propellant charge containers 62, as described in the applicant's patent application 196 19 191.2 mentioned at the beginning. The container 10 according to FIGS. 3 and 4 also has a bottom 14, from which corner pillars 16 stand upwards. The four corner pillars 16 define two opposite side surfaces 18 (see FIG. 4) and 20 (see FIG. 3). The two opposite side surfaces 18 are each formed with a strut 22. At the top end 26 of the braced side surfaces 18 defining the corner pillars 16, cross struts 28 are provided which extend between the said top ends 26 of the corner pillars 16. The distance between the two cross struts 28 are adapted to the corresponding basic dimensions of the base 14, so that containers 10 according to FIGS. 3 and 4, like containers 10 according to FIGS. 1 and 2, can be stacked one above the other. This is also indicated in FIG. 3 by cross struts 28 which are assigned to the floor 14.

The container 10 according to FIGS. 3 and 4 is also provided on the upper side with a cover 30 which can be pivoted about an axis 32. The axis 32 is provided to be oriented vertically to the longitudinal extent of the propellant charge container 62.

Support elements 64, which are spaced apart from one another and run parallel to one another, protrude from the top 14. The support elements 64 consist of a suitable extruded profile material.

Tension belts, which can be attached to suitable elements 66, serve to securely fix a corresponding number of propellant charge containers 62 in the container 10.
