Abstract
Description
The invention relates to an interference radiation-proof connector housing. The housing can be a full metal housing or a other, conductive surfaces for shielding against interference having housing.
The housing can be with one or more pins or Socket connectors. The connectors are fixed in the housing and with one in the Housing inserted cables connected by cables. The Connectors themselves correspond to a specific one Standard. So there are connector housings that have connectors the IEC-625 or IEEE-488 standard. With These connectors can each be electronic devices are connected, their interfaces according to the same Norm are trained.
To connect one of these housings or in the Housing existing connector with a mating connector this mating connector is regularly on one Mounting plate attached.
To the interference in the area of the interconnected two respective connectors, i.e. one on one Mounting plate attached connector and in the interference-proof connector housing existing others Connector, as little as possible in their effects hold, it is known from EP 0 563 672 A1, which in the Connector housing existing connector so far set back in the housing to arrange that the housing with its end face flat on the receiving the counter connector Mounting plate can rest. This is the connector housing cross-sectionally so voluminous, that the connector with its all-round metal collar fully in the interior of the Housing finds place. The large one required Housing cross section is disadvantageous. The minimum mutual distance between adjacent such connector housings because it is larger than with "normal" connector housings. Such voluminous housing designs are therefore only used in special applications a satisfactory shielding effect Interference radiation especially in very high applications Frequency ranges and / or strong interference fields is a good one electrical contacting of the circumferential collar of the connector required on the connector housing. At This contacting takes place in the known connector housing by contact pressure when screwed together of the connector housing. It is between the connector housing and the all-round metal collar of the Connector also has a spring tongue metallic sealing strips arranged. This proves itself the connector housing is correspondingly complex. For positioning of the connector has the connector housing corresponding grooves in its two housing parts. Due to the relatively generous tolerance dimensions of the circumferential The respective contact pressure is different, so that a good and permanent electrical contact between the housing and the connector, not always sufficient is available.
Sheet metal is inserted into each plastic part, with molded tips in the plastic wall of the connector housing is held in place. With Such sheets can only be limited Reach shielding. This connector housing too has grooves in which the connector easily plunges. Requirement for an electrical contact between Connector housing and connector is again one appropriately strong screwing of the two housing parts.
The invention is based on this prior art based on the task of being as economical as possible interference-proof Connector housing of the aforementioned Specify type.
This invention is characterized by the features of claim 1 given. The invention is based on the knowledge that Clearance profile of a conventional connector is not larger but is even slightly smaller than the clearance profile of a known "normal" connector housing, for that this connector is provided. That’s it possible, missing areas in the interior of the connector housing to provide in the housing wall and thereby the Interior cross section of the connector housing in some areas so enlarge that space inside the connector housing is created to be a connector to be placed anywhere in the housing.
The missing areas can be rectangular in cross section connector with circumferential collar from an indentation in the connector housing wall consist of the thickness and shape of the circumferential collar from Connector is adapted. The indentation or more generally the missing area of the housing wall is preferred such that the circumferential collar with a press fit in the housing can sit. This ensures good contact between the connector or between its collar and the connector housing, regardless of how strong the connector housing on the mounting plate pressing. The one acting on the mounting plate The size of the fastening pressure is not decisive and decisive for the quality of the contact between the Connector and the connector housing.
In this way, a known in the art Basically also for the housing provided according to the invention interference-proof connector housing used will. The required missing areas in addition in the Providing the wall of the housing is not particularly complex. The required for such a connector housing As a result, tool costs are low. By relative simple mechanical post-processing can according to the invention required missing areas also in previously known housings provided and possibly a flat surface of the the connector end face of the connector housing getting produced. Neglecting the low reworking can be the inventive Housing in the same way as that in the prior art Technically known housings can be used because they are the same can be placed closely as in the prior art other housings is comparatively possible.
A connector housing known in the prior art has two wide and two narrow side walls. The one of these wide side walls is at least one of the narrow side walls, preferably with both narrow Side walls connected like a tub or pot. The other wide side wall forms the lid for this tub-like Casing. According to the invention, a Slot in at least one, preferably in both opposite narrow side walls. In these slots the connector can fit with a press fit. In the it will generally suffice for both wide side walls be to provide a groove-like indentation in order to the collar of the connector in the interior of the housing to accommodate fully. The slot or the missing areas are so far reset in the housing wall that the connector housing or its end face desirable to be close to the mounting plate. For Eliminate any bumps and / or smaller Air gaps between the mounting plate and connector housing can be plugged together if necessary Seals made of conductive material such as commercially available HF seals made of conductive elastomers be provided.
The conversion of housings known in the prior art to above-mentioned, for higher value Application provided housings is therefore without restrictions in principle possible, and that on economic simple way.

(Fig. 1.0, 4.0).
In the area of the end faces 44 of the
(Fig. 1.1.) gezeigten Richtung eine vergleichsweise größere
Kippsicherheit. Diese Kippsicherheit ist wichtig, um die
durch ein Verschwenken des Steckverbindergehäuses 10 verursachten
Biegespannungen in den einzelnen Drähten der Verdrahtung
zwischen dem Kabel 18 und dem Steckverbinder 12 möglichst
nicht auftreten zu lassen.The
Instead of separating the
