- the plate / nozzle assembly comprises a central zone located opposite the orifice of the support and a peripheral zone applied to the support, the central zone and the peripheral zone being connected by a zone of least resistance so that the central zone can be separated from the peripheral zone by the application of a small effort.
- a metal envelope surrounds the central zone and the peripheral zone, and the envelope comprises a weakened zone, in particular punched or notched.

- the liquid steel begins to cool and to solidify, particularly in the channel of the internal nozzle 20 due to the small diameter of this channel.
- a solidified steel rod is formed which anchors the wolf 24 in the distributor 2.
- the lower end of the solidified steel rod 26 Due to the erosion of the internal nozzle 20 during casting the lower end of the solidified steel rod 26 has a flared shape 28 in the shape of an elephant's foot which increases the grip of the wolf. This is why, when the distributor 2 is turned over to extract the wolf therefrom, the latter does not fall but remains hooked by the rod (s) 26. It is then necessary, after having removed the drawer, which leaves on the distributor the support plate and the plate / internal nozzle assembly to exert a very high pressure on the steel rod 26 so as to break the fixed plate 14 and the internal nozzle 20 and to extrude the envelope metal 22 through the hole 30 provided in the support plate 13.

Thanks to the presence of this notch, the metal casing 22 is easily torn when a relatively small force is applied to the steel rod 26.
