Description

The invention relates to a method and an apparatus for grinding the Knife of a chipper according to the preamble of claims 1 and 4.

This is particularly about chippers for the production of Chips into chips that can be processed industrially, for example as a raw material for chipboard.

A big problem with such chippers is the relatively small Knife service life. The knives usually have to be worn can be replaced after just a few hours of operation, i.e. several times per working shift.

The installation of new, sharp knives requires a special effort. The desired chip thickness results from the distance between the knives compared to the so-called wear plates, which in turn are part of the Knife ring are. From all of this it follows that the exchange is duller Knives against sharp knives is very time-consuming and costly. In particular, the personnel costs for this are very high.

One has therefore been looking for ways for a long time, the Streamline knife changes. So is from DE 43 16 514 C2 Working method known, which comprises the following process steps: First the knife basket is moved out of the chipper and into a knife carrier used, in which it is rotatably mounted, and a grinding device encased with a grinding wheel. The blunt knives in the knife basket are first released from their clamp bracket, and it the board of knives that is necessary to set one Regrind to a desired board member of the knife enable. Then the knife basket is in slow, continuous Rotation offset. At the same time, the grinding device moves in Axial direction of the knife basket and thus along the cutting edges of the Knife.

Due to the constant, thus uninterrupted rotation of the Knife basket result in knife faces that are on a circular arc lie. It is therefore impossible to grind a so-called clearance angle. In this regard, the statement contains the statement that the resharpening in the installed state inevitably has a clearance angle of Results in zero.

However, many experts believe that a clearance angle may be desired.

The invention is based, a working method and a task Specify device with which a perfect, quick and can achieve efficient grinding of worn chipper knives, and with which precisely determined the position of the chipper knives Allow the cutting edges to be ground under a clearance angle.

This task is characterized by the characteristics of the independent Claims 1 and 4 solved. Advantageous configurations are in the Subclaims described.

The crucial feature of the invention is that during the individual grinding process between the knife basket and the Grinding device there is no relative rotational movement, but a Standstill. There is only a relative movement in the axial direction between the knives and the grinding device.

The single knife can be made in several ways from Edit grinding tools. This means that the material is very sensitive can be removed. There can be a clearance angle on the individual knife produce.

If desired, a multiple tool can be used so that a correspondingly large number of knives can be processed simultaneously can. So it is conceivable, for example five, ten or even more knives edit at the same time. After finishing a knife or One group of knives will change the knife basket into a new one Machining position clocked. Instead, of course, it would also be possible To let the knife basket stand, and instead the individual - To twist grinding tool relative to the knife basket, so that another Knives or another group of knives can be edited.

A tool that has one or more can be considered as a grinding tool Includes grinding wheels. If the grinding tool has several grinding wheels, see above these are arranged side by side so that all of these grinding wheels work simultaneously, with each grinding wheel having a single knife processed. The grinding wheels can be arranged parallel to each other be, for example on one and the same axis of rotation. It is also conceivable to arrange the grinding wheels of a grinding tool such that they lie in radial planes. In the latter case, each must Grinding wheel have their own drive shaft.

It would also be conceivable to support the shafts of the grinding wheels in such a way that an inclination is adjustable so that different grinding angles are achievable. This would make the facility extremely flexible.

The invention is explained in more detail with reference to the drawing.

Der Zerspaner ist hier nicht dargestellt.1 shows a device for grinding knives of a chipper. The chipper is not shown here.

Fig. 2 zeigt einen vergrößerten Ausschnitt X aus Fig. 1.FIG. 2 shows an enlarged section X from FIG. 1.

Fig. 3 zeigt einen vergrößerten Ausschnitt Y aus Fig. 2.FIG. 3 shows an enlarged section Y from FIG. 2.

The grinding station 1 can be moved on rollers 1.2 relative to the chipper, such that a knife basket at the chipper and received by this can be transported away to the working position of the grinding station 1. Im The exemplary embodiment shown is a knife basket 2 in the grinding station 1 used. It rests on rollers 1.3, so that it is in its grinding station 1 own axis can be clocked.

The knife basket 2 has a plurality of knife packs 3, which are the best can be seen from Figure 2. One can see there a supporting block 3.1, one Clamping plate 3.2, a knife 3.3 located between these two, one Tensioning screw 3.4 and a wear plate 3.5.

Man erkennt ferner einen Spindelantrieb mit Schrittmotor 4.5.The crucial element of the entire device is one Grinding device 4. This can be seen in FIG. 1, but is more precise Fig. 2. The grinding device 4 comprises a plurality of grinding wheels 4.1. In the present case there are four grinding wheels. These four Grinding wheels sit on a common drive shaft 4.2. This is drivable by means of a drive motor 4.3 and a bevel gear 4.4. Man also recognizes a spindle drive with stepper motor 4.5.

Die gesamte Vorrichtung arbeitet wie folgt: The entire device works as follows:

As soon as the knives 4.1 no longer have the necessary sharpness, the Entire knife basket from the chipper using the grinding station 1 taken out. Then the grinding device 4 in the Knife basket 2 enclosed interior introduced. The Grinding device 4 positioned such that each grinding wheel 4.1 one grinding knife 3.3 is opposite. The drive motor 4.3 sets the Grinding disks 4.1 via the bevel gear 4.4 and the drive shaft 4.2 in rotation, and the stepper motor 4.5 drives the entire unit in the direction of the double arrow - seen in Fig. 2 - to the left so that the Circumferential surfaces of the grinding wheels 4.1 on the surfaces to be ground Knives 3.3 come to rest.

It is crucial that while sharpening a knife or a Group of knives no rotational movement of the knife basket relative to Grinding device is carried out.

Another drive is provided, of which only shaft 5 is represented symbolically. This drive creates a movement of the Grinding device 4 parallel to the axis of the knife body 2 and at the same time parallel to the cutting edges of the knives 3.3. The grinding of a each knife with a single pass or return of the grinding device 4 be accomplished. But it is also possible to have two or more movements in to execute one and the other.

The grinding device 4 can have a different number of grinding wheels 4.1 have as the number of four grinding wheels shown here. So needs only one grinding wheel to be provided. But it can also more than four grinding wheels can be provided.

It is also possible to arrange the grinding wheels 4.1 such that they are in Radial planes run through the center of the knife basket 2 run. This applies to both the case of a single grinding wheel per Grinding device 4, as well as in the event that a grinding device 4 a Has a plurality of grinding wheels.

It is also conceivable to increase the inclination of the individual grinding wheels 4.1 change, so that the angle, which is sharpened the knives 3.3, is variable.

As illustrated in FIG. 3, the knife can be grinded with the grinding wheel 4.1 3.3 Grind a clearance angle.
