- Such glass doors for fire protection purposes can be found as single or double-leaf Single door as well as a door element within one of several glass surfaces composite fire protection glazing use.
- DIN 4102 part 13 are fire protection glazing from Fire resistance class F and fire resistance class G are known, and explained in the respective requirements.
- the fire protection windows are usually multilayered from glass panes with one arranged in between Fire protection layer built up. In the event of a fire, one is placed in this fire protection layer contained protective agent activated, causing the fire protection window Absorbs heat radiation and forms a highly effective insulation layer. This is accompanied by a clouding of the fire protection window, so that from the original transparent glazing a practically opaque fire protection wall becomes.
- Fire protection panes are extremely sensitive to mechanical stress. This applies particularly to the end faces of the fire protection panes. To the frame construction for such a fire protection window there are therefore higher requirements than with conventional glass doors.
- a known glass door for fire protection uses one Support structure made of steel profiles. All functional parts of the door, e.g. the hinges and the lock parts are on the closed steel frame attached.
- the invention has for its object to provide a glass door with a narrow steel frame for fire protection purposes, the frame construction can be inexpensively, with very little assembly and made from a few items. Furthermore, a method which is particularly suitable for producing such a glass door is to be created.

- Each of the two glass doors is made up of a fire protection window 4 and one this all around frame 5 together.
- the frame 5 sets itself out of frame parts 6, 7, 8, 9 along the upper and lower edges as well the vertical edges of the fire protection window 4 together.
- the frame parts 6, 7, and 8 each consist of one-piece metal profiles with identical Cross-section, whereas the frame part 9 forming the center stop each of the two glass doors made of two interconnected metal profiles is composed.
- the fire protection pane 4 is is a special laminated glass which consists of several glass panes 4a there are fire protection layers 4b arranged between them. In case of fire these fire protection layers 4b are activated, giving off heat radiation absorb and thus form an effective insulation layer, which the passage prevented from fire and smoke. The activation of the fire protection layers leads 4b in the event of a fire causing them to foam and clouding assume that a practically opaque fire wall arises.
- the frame parts 6, 7, 8, 9 together form a support structure for the Fire protection window 4.
- the frame parts 6, 7, 8 and 9 are regarding of its cross section U-shaped with legs 10, 11, 12, which extend parallel to the surfaces of the fire protection pane 4, and a web 13, 14 between the two legs 10 or 11 and 12, the web 13 or 14 of the respective narrow end face 15 of the fire protection pane 4 opposite.
- the frame parts 6, 7, 8 differ on the one hand and that Middle stop 3 forming frame part 9 on the other hand.
- Each of the frame parts 6, 7, 8 consists of a metal profile, which by multiple deformation of a single elongated metal strip is made, on which therefore by suitable folding both the two legs 10 and the web 13 are formed.
- the free ends of the legs 10 with a 180 ° fold 16 provided, the direction of the fold is such that the folded surfaces 17 with the interposition of a silicone layer 18 on the Edge areas of the fire protection pane 4 lie flat and there with the Glue the fire protection window.
- the 180 ° fold 16 makes assembly easier the glass door, as a result of the rounded edges in the area of the fold 16 the fire protection pane 4 better with its end face 15 in the frame part can be used or the frame part conversely better on the fire protection window can be put on, which are explained in more detail below becomes.
- the fold 16 is a tight fold, i.e. the inside folded surface 17 lies directly on the unfolded surface of the Leg 10 on. Furthermore, in the frame parts 6, 7, 8, the web 13 with a directed towards the end face 15 of the fire protection pane 4 Indentation 19 provided.
- the indentation 19, which extends almost over the entire The width of the web 13 extends, is used to accommodate a strip 20 from a material foaming under the influence of heat. Since the strip is 20 in the recess 19 sits, it is not visible from the outside and also in front of mechanical Injuries protected.
- a joint 21 Between the end face 15 of the fire protection window 4 and the opposite one Web 13 is a joint 21, in which the protective agent in the event of fire the fire protection layer 4b can escape with the joint sealed.
- the joint between the door frame and door frame 1 is in the event of fire by strips 20 foaming under the influence of heat are sealed.
- the frame part 9 is composed of a total of two metal profiles 24, 25, each of which is a multi-deformed, elongated Metal strip.
- the main function here is the metal strip 24 to. This is the one by multiple bending of the metal strip Leg 12, the stop bar 23 and the web 14 are formed.
- the design 2 is such that, starting from the substantially flat Web 14, the stop bar 23 adjoins this at right angles, the stop bar 23 then over two mutually rectangular bends merges into the leg 12, which over the support and sealing layer 18 is supported on one edge of the fire protection window 4.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a glass door for fire protection purposes with a Fire protection glass containing foaming protective agent, as well as frame parts encompassing the edges of the fire protection window Metal profiles, the frame parts are U-shaped in cross section with legs that extend parallel to the surfaces of the fire protection window, and one opposite the narrow end face of the fire protection window Bridge between the two legs.
The invention further relates to a method for producing a glass door for Fire protection purposes, which consist of four frame parts that together form a rectangle as well as a fire protection window.
Such glass doors for fire protection purposes can be found as single or double-leaf
Single door as well as a door element within one of several glass surfaces
composite fire protection glazing use. According to the
German industrial standard DIN 4102
Fire protection panes are extremely sensitive to mechanical stress. This applies particularly to the end faces of the fire protection panes. To the frame construction for such a fire protection window there are therefore higher requirements than with conventional glass doors. For this purpose, a known glass door for fire protection uses one Support structure made of steel profiles. All functional parts of the door, e.g. the hinges and the lock parts are on the closed steel frame attached.
The invention has for its object to provide a glass door with a narrow steel frame for fire protection purposes, the frame construction can be inexpensively, with very little assembly and made from a few items. Furthermore, a method which is particularly suitable for producing such a glass door is to be created.
To solve this problem, it is proposed in a glass door for fire protection purposes of the type mentioned that the metal profile consists of an elongated metal strip deformed by multiple bending, that the web thus formed is provided with an indentation inwards towards the end face of the fire protection window, and that a strip of material foaming under the action of heat is arranged in the indentation.
Since each frame part consists of a metal profile, which by multiple Deforming a single elongated metal strip, the number of individual parts required for the assembly of the glass door reduce and simplify assembly overall.
The strip of foaming under the influence of heat inserted into the indentation Material seals the joint between the glass door and door frame in the event of a fire. Due to its arrangement in the indentation of the This stripe is hardly noticeable visually, and it is also against the straight There is a particularly high risk of mechanical injuries in the area of the door edges protected.
For the connection between the metal profile and the corresponding edge area the fire protection window is in accordance with a preferred embodiment the glass door between the inner surfaces of the legs and the parallel Edge surfaces of the fire protection window only a silicone layer, which glues the metal profile to the fire protection window.
According to a further embodiment, the free ends of the legs are included a 180 ° fold, the folded surfaces with an intermediate layer of the silicone layer on the edges of the fire protection window. In this way, sharp edges at the ends of the legs are avoided, what the fitting of the frame parts during the assembly of the glass door facilitated.
It is also proposed with the invention that a joint between the End face of the fire protection window and the inner surface of the web is located. To this extent, the invention makes use of the knowledge that in the cases in which a residual joint remains on the end faces of the fire protection window, in the case of high heat, that between the individual glass layers Fire retardant in the form of a foam from the face of the Fire protection window emerges, the joint closes tightly and the bridge cools.
To solve the above-mentioned partial task of creating a method which is particularly suitable for producing a glass door, it is proposed for a glass door for fire protection purposes which is composed of four frame parts which together form a rectangle and a fire protection pane, that initially only three of the frame parts are firmly connected to one another to form a three-sided subframe are connected, then the fire protection pane is inserted into the partial frame formed in this way and finally the still missing last frame part is fastened. According to a preferred embodiment of this method, the last frame part is screwed to the partial frame, so that in the event of damage to the fire protection pane, for example due to glass breakage, it can be easily replaced without destroying the entire frame.

The glass door shown in Fig. 1 consists of a
Each of the two glass doors is made up of a
dazwischen angeordneten Brandschutzschichten 4b besteht.
entsteht. Details of the connection between the fire protection window and the frame parts
are shown in FIG. 2. The
13 bzw. 14 der jeweiligen schmalen Stirnfläche 15 der Brandschutzscheibe 4
gegenüberliegt.The
Mittelanschlag 3 bildende Rahmenteil 9 andererseits.
Apart from the common U-shaped structure made up of at least one
Metal profile, the
Schenkels 10 an.
The
Between the
The
The
The connection between the two
In addition to the heat transfer between the two
In order to securely close the cavity of the
The assembly of the glass door is very simple. First, three frame parts
