Description

The present invention relates to a drilling tool with a Drilling head with an end face pointing in the feed direction, one main insert, one in the drill axis lying drill bit forms and on both sides essentially is inclined roof-shaped, at least two Additional blades that are essentially symmetrical under one Angles to the main cutting axis are arranged and their Cutting axes the main cutting axis in the drill axis of the Cut the drill head, and has drill flutes, the Main insert a primary cutting edge that overlaps radially extends at least one side of the main insert and has a secondary cutting edge that extends over in essentially the remaining length of the main insert extends radially and axially against the feed direction compared to the primary cutting edge by at least the drilling feed in Millimeters per revolution is reset.

Drilling tools known from DE-PS 43 38 667 and DE-PS 35 00 202 have a main insert that overlaps the entire drill head determining the borehole diameter extends of the drilling tool and point and as a cutting element is axially symmetrical. Deliver such drilling tools unsatisfactory drilling progress and / or require a lot of effort. Furthermore, can a symmetrical cutting edge structure in use, even with transverse ones Vibrations cause a geometrically uneven Result in hole shape.

DE 29 52 296 A1 describes a drilling tool according to the Preamble of claim 1. Since in this drilling tool Drilling by four cutting edges is the borehole geometrically overdetermined and there are no round drill holes achieve.

The invention is therefore based on the object of a drilling tool of the type mentioned above, with which higher drilling progress and circular holes can be.

According to the invention this object is achieved in that the both sides of the Main insert have different lengths, whereby the long side over the circumferential contour of the base body protrudes, the primary cutting edge extends over at least the long one Side of the main insert and the secondary cutting edge itself over essentially the remaining length of the Main cutting insert extends radially and the radially outer Ends of the additional cutting edges on the same rotating circle as that radially outer end of the primary cutting edge and together the Determine nominal drilling diameter while the radially outer end the secondary cutting edge lies radially inward, as well as the Additional cutting on at least part of their cutting lengths Advance in the direction of drilling feed over the secondary cutting edge stand behind the primary cutting edge.

The axial offset of the secondary cutting edge is advantageously increased the primary cutting edge depending on the material properties of the material to be drilled.

The secondary cutting edge is advantageously approximately Set back 0.3 to 1.5 mm from the primary cutting edge.

Furthermore, it is preferably provided that the length of the secondary cutting edge depending on the material properties of the material to be drilled is selected.

It can be provided that the radially outer end of the short side of the main insert with secondary cutting edge the circumferential contour of the base body protrudes.

On the other hand, it can also be provided that the radially outer End of the short side of the main insert with secondary cutting edge does not protrude beyond the circumferential contour of the base body.

It can in particular be provided that the radial outer end of the short side of the main insert with secondary cutting edge radially from the circumferential contour of the base body moved in.

It is preferably provided that the primary cutting edge overlaps 5/8 to 3/4 of the nominal drilling diameter extends.

Furthermore, the angle between the respective additional cutting edge is and the main insert preferably 20 ° to 70 °.

In addition, it can be provided that the angle (α) between the respective additional cutting edge and the main insert selected depending on the volume of drilling dust is.

It can also be provided that in the direction of rotation before the additional cutting edges Bohrmehlnuten are arranged.

In addition, it can be provided that additional drilling dust grooves are arranged behind the additional cutting edges.

It can also be provided that the cross section of the drilling dust grooves depending on the amount of machined Drilling dust per time is selected.

In a special embodiment of the invention can be provided be that the additional cutting edges include pins.

Finally, it can be provided that the drilling tool Has funding.

The invention is based on the surprising finding that by the inventive design of the drilling tool at least four cutting edges, of which only three cutting edges determine the contour of the borehole, geometrically round boreholes be achieved because a circle is geometric through three points is not overdetermined.

In addition, these three radially outer points lead to one compared to a four-knife reduced friction. The Passive force distribution of the selected main insert geometry ensures that the additional cutting edges lie on the side in the bore wall.

Compared to a double-edged tool with a continuous one The insert is in the range of the selected shape higher peripheral speed or the longer distance several Cutting in use. This reduces cutting edge wear per cutting edge.

Further features and advantages of the invention can be seen from the following of the claims and the description below, in which an embodiment of the present invention based on the attached drawings is explained.

Zwischen der Hauptschneidplatte 12 und den Zusatz schneiden 18 befinden sich Bohrmehlnuten 20.Fig. 1 shows a top view of the end face of a drilling tool according to the present invention. In one Main body 10, a main cutting plate 12 is arranged, which forms a drill tip 14 lying in the drill axis and inclined essentially roof-shaped on both sides is trained. Symmetrical to the main cutting axis 16 on the main cutting plate 12 are two additional cutting edges 18 arranged at an angle a of 60 °, the Cutting axes the main cutting axis 16 in the drill axis of the drill head. Between the main insert 12 and the additional cut 18 are Drill dust grooves 20.

The main cutting tip 12 points from the drill tip 14 proceeding from a long side 22, which extends over the peripheral contour of the base body 10 protrudes, and a short side 24 on, which also over the circumferential contour of the base body protrudes, but in relation to the central axis of the tool is shorter than the long side 22. The main insert 12 has a primary cutting edge 26 which overlaps 5/8 of the nominal drilling diameter, i.e. over the long side 22 and contiguous over part of the short side 24 extends, and a secondary cutting edge 28, which extends over the remaining length of the short side 24 extends.

The main cutting insert according to the invention, which basically takes over the main guiding work and the essential part of the chiseling effect, has a significantly higher rock removal ratio due to the shortening of the effective cutting length (with the same drilling diameter) compared to a drilling tool according to the prior art, whereby the drilling tool works much faster. The radially outer ends of the additional cutters 18 lie on the same rotation circle with a diameter D 1 , which corresponds to the nominal drilling diameter of the drilling tool, as the radially outer end of the primary cutting edge 26.

Figure 2 shows an edge region of the drilling tool of Figure 1 in detail. This edge area comprises part of the short side 24 of the main insert 12 and one of the two additional cutting edges 18. The primary cutting edge 26 extends over the long side 22 and part of the short Page 24 for a total of 5/8 of the nominal drilling diameter D1. This is followed by the secondary cutting edge 28, whereby this with respect to the primary cutting edge 26 in the axial direction is reset against the drilling feed direction V and its radially outer end opposite the radially outer End of the primary cutting edge 26 is behind. The additional cutting edges 18 comprise cutting plates, the cutting edges 19 of which The embodiment shown here is essentially parallel to the cutting edges of the primary cutting edge 26 and the secondary cutting edge 28 are aligned, but in the direction of drilling feed V protrude beyond the secondary cutting edge 28 and behind the primary cutting edge 26 stand back. For special shapes the cutting edge, such as pins with a cone or truncated cone and the same, the course of the cutting edge between the Primary cutting edge 26 and the secondary cutting edge 28 lie.

Such a cutter with four or more cutting edges delivers circular drill holes as compared to a conventional one Vierschneider only three points, namely the radial outer ends of the primary cutting edge 26 and the additional cutting edges 18, used to make a circular borehole deliver.

The preferably suitable values from 0.3 to 1.5 mm for the resetting of the secondary cutting edge 28 compared to the Primary cutting edge 26 result from the specific rock of the current drilling progress.
