Abstract

The clasp for a leather bag (1) comprises a rigid female piece (8) made of metal, plastic or leather. This piece which has a hole (9) passing through it is fixed to a first wall of the bag and faces a second wall. It passes through a cut-out hole (10) in the second wall. A deformable male tongue (11) is fixed by one end to one of the bag walls and passes through the female hole. The tongue penetrates into the hole in the female piece and is passed through the cut-out with a force or deformation so as to ensure its retention without accidental disengagement. Both the hole and the tongue have an anti-slip contact surface.

Description

The invention relates to a bag. provided with a clasp, of the type defined in the preamble of claim 1. Such bags are known from GB-A-552 470, FR-A-1 237 877 and US-A-2550199.

GB-A-552,470 describes a bag with a hasped closure including a protruding loop towards the outside of the bag, a flexible hasp having a fastener attached to the bag closing flap, a hook engaging with the loop, and a flexible strap passing through the loop over the hook.

Document FR-A-1 237 877 describes a closing device of the type with hasp for bag, constituted by a flexible tab pierced with an opening narrow, intended for the passage of a trigger guard, and with key of immobilization engaged in the trigger guard over the tab, the key constituting an extension of the paw.

Document US-A-2,550,199 describes a handbag comprising a container having an open face, a cover comprising a plate of cover, flexible walls associated with the plate, which extend in the bag against the walls of the container, means for associating the flexible walls at the walls of the container, a flap integrated into the plate, associated with a bottom wall of the container, a locking flap integrated into the cover plate, arranged to cover an upper wall of the container, and means for locking this flap at the top wall.

More particularly, the invention relates to a bag provided with a clasp simple to implement, discreet, in particular barely visible on one side of the container, and aesthetic.

The bag according to the invention is defined by the characteristics of claim 1.

The clasp first includes a piece rigid, female, provided with a hole, rigidly attached to a first wall of the bag while being turned towards a second wall thereof, and being capable of cross a cutout of the second wall, the hole being open and directed towards the opening of the bag. He understands secondly a deformable, male, shaped piece tongue, fixed at one end to the first or second wall of the bag, and being likely to enter the hole of the female part and to remain there without untimely release.

The hole of the female part can be through or one-eyed. In cross section, the part hole female may have a generally elongated shape and / or straight, or almost straight, or curved, or flattened.

The male tongue, although deformable, presents a certain outfit and can penetrate the hole of the female part crossing the cutout of the second wall of the bag, by force or with friction or with deformation so as to ensure maintenance without clearance untimely.

The female part can be made or coated with various materials such as metal, plastic or leather, used alone or in combination.

The male tongue can be produced in various materials such as metal, plastic or leather, used alone or in combination, and may exhibit rough or non-slip contact surface.

The male tongue also has a certain deformation capacity in the direction of its thickness, and may include a free end portion rigid or semi-rigid, facilitating introduction.

The female part of the clasp is attached to the first wall of the bag, near its free edge, and is facing the second wall, the hole in the female part being open and directed towards the opening of the bag.

The male tab of the clasp can be fixed by one end at the first or the second wall at the vicinity of its free edge, depending on the embodiment considered.

In one embodiment, the male tab is fixed by one end to the second wall, close a cutout of this second wall likely to be crossed by the female part of the clasp.

The female part has a thickness greater than that of the second wall, the hole of the female part being positioned to be at least partially outside the bag when the female part crosses the cutting the second wall of the bag.

The cutting of the second wall is according to the invention a hole opening in outline of general shape complementary to that of the female part.

In one embodiment, the part hole female is through and when the clasp is in closed situation, the male tab crosses totally the hole of the female part and protrudes from it by its free end.

The bag 1, provided with the clasp 7, comprises a first wall 2 and a second wall 3.

The first wall 2 comprises a surface 2a turned towards the outside of the bag 1 and a surface 2b turned towards the inside of the bag 1.

Likewise, the second wall 3 comprises a surface 3a facing the outside of the bag 1 and a surface 3b facing the inside of the bag 1.

Other walls, not shown, complete the bag 1, connecting in particular the walls 2 and 3.

The first wall 2 carries a handle 4.

In the embodiment shown, the loop 4 is fixed, for example sewn, on the inner surface 2b of wall 2, so that the attachment is invisible on the exterior surface 2a of the wall 2.

In another embodiment, not shown, the handle is fixed on the outer surface 2a of the wall 2, its attachment being, moreover, invisible on the surface interior 2b of wall 2.

The second wall 3 comprises in the vicinity of its upper free edge, two notches 5 intended for allow the passage of the ends 6 of the loop 4 when the bag is closed.

In another embodiment, not shown, the second wall 3 is devoid of notches and can have a fixed handle, for example sewn, on the inner surface 3b of the wall 3 so that the attachment is invisible on the outer face 3a of the wall 3.

Bag 1 can include a single fixed handle on the interior surface 2b, 3b or exterior 2a, 3a of walls 2 or 3 respectively, the fixing being the case if applicable, invisible on the surface of said wall opposite the fixing surface.

In the embodiment such as the bag comprises a single handle fixed on a first wall 2, or second wall 3, respectively, the second 3 or first wall 2 which does not carry a handle may comprise, at near its upper free edge at least one notch intended to allow the passage of at least one end of the handle when the bag is closed.

In another embodiment, not shown, the bag 1 can include two handles fixed on the interior surfaces 2b, 3b or exterior 2a, 3a of walls 2 or 3 respectively.

Walls 2 and 3 can be made in one material or group of materials chosen from leather, plastics, fabrics.

In one embodiment, the walls 2 and 3 are each made of two strips of leather sewn together of their outline.

We now describe more particularly the clasp 7 of the bag 1.

The clasp 7 firstly comprises a piece female 8, rigid provided with a hole 9.

The female part 8 is according to the invention rigidly fixed on the inner surface 2b of the wall 2, so that the attachment is invisible on the exterior surface 2a of the wall 2.

In the embodiment shown, the hole 9 of the female part 8 of the clasp 7 is through.

In another embodiment, not shown, this hole is blind.

The hole 9 has, in cross section, a generally elongated, straight or almost straight shape.

In another embodiment, this hole has, in cross section, a generally curved shape.

The female part 8 can be produced or coated with metal, plastic, leather, fabric.

The female part 8 has a thickness greater than that of the wall 3 facing it, so that hole 9 protrudes at least partially outside the bag when the walls 2 and 3 are close together, in bag closing situation 1.

To this end, the clasp 7 includes a cutout 10 on the wall 3, in the form of a hole emerging from contour of shape complementary to that of the part female 8.

Thus, when the bag 1 is closed, the female part 8 crosses the cutout 10 so that the hole 9 protrudes, at least partially, outside the bag 1.

The clasp 7 further comprises a tongue 11, male, likely to enter hole 9 in the part female 8 by its free end 12, and to remain there maintained without untimely disengagement.

The tongue 11, although deformable, has a certain outfit. It can be made of various materials like leather, plastics, fabrics.

In one embodiment, the tongue 11 is formed of two sewn leather bands.

The free end 12 of the tongue 11 has a curvature 13 facilitating its introduction into the hole 9.

The tongue 11 has, in cross section, a generally flattened shape.

The hole 9 of the female part 8 and / or the tongue 11 has a rough contact surface or non-slip.

The tongue 11 has a certain capacity for elastic deformation in the direction of its thickness, its free end 12 also being rigid or semi-rigid.

The end 14 opposite the end 12 of the tongue 11 is, in the embodiment shown, fixed to the second wall 3, on its inner face 3b.

This end 14 has the shape of an eyelet 15 whose interior contour is substantially identical to contour of the cutout 10.

Thus, in the embodiment shown, the female part 8 of the clasp 7 passes through the eyelet 15 of the end 14 and the cutout 10 of the wall 3 when the bag is closed.

The thickness of the tongue 11 and of the wall 3, as well as the thickness of the female part 8, measured along the axis 16 of Figure 1 are chosen such that the hole 9 in female part 8 at least partially protrudes outside of bag 1 when it is in closed situation, the tongue 11 then being able to cooperate, in particular to cross, by its free end 12, hole 9.

In another embodiment, not shown, the end 14 of the tongue 11 is fixed to the wall 2, on its internal 2b or external 2a face.

In the embodiment not shown such that the tongue 11 is fixed to the internal face 2b of the wall 2, the end 14 of the tongue 11 may have a eyelet shape whose internal contour is substantially same shape as the outline of the female part 8, fixed it also on the internal face 2b of the wall 2.

In the embodiment shown, the notches 5 made on the wall 3 are arranged in such a way so that the female part 8 can be thick minimum.

Indeed, the thickness of the ends 6 of the handle 4 does not affect the thickness of the part female 8, the ends of the handle 4 passing through the notches 5.

The thickness of the female part 8, in the mode of represented achievement, must be such that, when passes through the eyelet 15 and the cutout 10 of the wall 3, the hole 9 projects at least partially towards the outside of the bag 1, the free end 12 of the tongue 11 being suitable for entering hole 9, in a closed situation from bag 1.

Claims (17)

1. A bag, comprising a first wall (2) and a second wall (3), brought together in the situation of closure of the bag (1), the first wall (2) having an external surface (2a) turned towards the outside of the bag (1) and an internal surface (2b) turned towards the inside of the bag (1), the bag (1) also comprising a fastener (7) having:

   a rigid female piece (8) fixed to one of the walls (2, 3) of the bag and provided with a hole directed towards the opening of the bag (1);

   a male deformable piece, in the form of a tongue (11), fixed by one end (14) to one of the walls (2, 3) of the bag (1), this deformable piece being able to enter the hole (9) in the female piece (8) and remain held therein without unwanted disengagement;

   characterised in that the fastener (7) comprises a cutout (10) on the second wall (3), in the form of an emerging hole with a shape complementary to the female piece (8), the female piece (8) being rigidly fixed to the internal surface (2b) of the first wall (2), whilst being turned towards the second wall (3), this female piece (8) passing through the cutout (10) in the situation of closure of the bag (1).
2. A bag according to Claim 1, characterised in that the female piece (8) is fixed close to a free end of the first wall (2), so that the fixing is invisible on the external surface (2a) of the first wall (2).
3. A bag according to Claim 1 or Claim 2, characterised in that the female piece (8) has a thickness greater than that of the second wall (3), the hole (9) being positioned so as to be at least partially external to the bag (1) when the female piece(8) passes through the cutout (10) in the second wall (3), in the situation of closure of the bag (1).
4. A bag according to one of Claims 1 to 3, characterised in that the hole (9) in the female piece (8) is blind.
5. A bag according to one of Claims 1 to 3, characterised in that the hole (9) in the female piece (8) is a through hole, the tongue (11) completely passing through the hole (9) and projecting from it by its free end (12) when the fastener is in a situation of closure.
6. A bag according to one of Claims 1 to 5, characterised in that the second wall (3) has a tendency to move away from the first wall (2), the second wall (3) coming or having a tendency to come to be applied against the internal face of the tongue (11) whilst holding it in the hole (9) in the female piece (8).
7. A bag according to one of Claims 1 to 6, characterised in that the hole (9) has, in transverse section, a general elongate shape.
8. A bag according to Claim 7, characterised in that the hole (9) has, in transverse section, a general rectilinear or quasi-rectilinear shape.
9. A bag according to Claim 7, characterised in that the hole (9) has, in transverse section, a general curved shape.
10. A bag according to one of Claims 1 to 9, characterised in that the tongue (11) has in cross-section a general flattened shape.
11. A bag according to one of Claims 1 to 10, characterised in that the tongue (11), although deformable, has a certain firmness.
12. A bag according to one of Claims 1 to 11, characterised in that the tongue (11) can enter the hole (9) in the female piece (8) passing through the cutout (10) forcibly or with rubbing or with deformation so as to ensure holding without unwanted disengagement.
13. A bag according to one of Claims 1 to 12, characterised in that the female piece (8) is produced or coated with metal, plastics material or leather.
14. A bag according to one of Claims 1 to 13, characterised in that the tongue (11) is produced from leather, plastics material or fabrics.
15. A bag according to one of Claims 1 to 14, characterised in that the hole (9) in the female piece (8) and/or the tongue (11) has a rough or non-slip contact surface.
16. A bag according to one of Claims 1 to 15, characterised in that the tongue (11) has a certain capacity for elastic deformation in the direction of its thickness.
17. A bag according to one of Claims 1 to 16, characterised in that the tongue has a rigid or semi-rigid free end part (12).
