Definitions
- the present invention relates to an electric comb which detangles, combs and combs hair, and especially frizzy or delicate hair.
- the existing electric combs are in specially designed to stimulate the scalp by massaging it by slow oscillatory movements.
- a simple comb or multiple is in this case entrained in a movement slow oscillation by an electric motor.
- the comb is used not for styling hair, but as a means allowing to cross the hair and reach the leather hair to massage it.
- For massage to be effective it is assumed that the hair is neither dense nor delicate, because otherwise, the hair would be pulled out, broken or tangled.
- the main objective of the present invention is to provide a comb electric specially adapted for detangling and styling delicate or difficult hair.
- each clump should be treated differently from the clump neighbor. It is desirable for this, to reproduce with an electric comb, the movement of a person's fingers when trying to unravel their hair: the fingers do not move in parallel, but they move back or they advance relative to each other.
- each tooth of the apparatus according to the present invention is mounted individually on a drive mechanism, which guide in a movement offset from the neighboring tooth.
- the invention applies to an electric comb comprising a handle intended to be held by the user, a body integral with the handle, a series teeth each comprising a first part external to the body and a second part located inside the latter, a mechanism tooth drive comprising suitable eccentric elements, each to cooperate with a tooth to bias the latter in pivoting around a pivot axis and an electric motor intended to drive said eccentric elements in rotation.
- the eccentric elements being constituted by the crankshafts or by the cams of a camshaft, the second part of each tooth located inside the body has a contact and containment zone for an eccentric element, said zone being delimited, around said element, by a fork or by a light.
- the electric motor is powered by the mains or by batteries.
- the first part of each tooth comes into contact with the hair and the second part is in permanent contact with the drive mechanism.
- the tooth drive mechanism is a rotary mechanism with eccentric elements.
- the drive mechanism called camshaft
- the drive mechanism is an axis rotated by said motor, comprising discs, called cams, fixed eccentrically on said axis.
- Said cams are discs of circular, elliptical or ovoid section.
- the second part of each tooth has means for coupling of the tooth with the eccentric elements of the mechanism training.
- the second part of each tooth has a rough form of fork with two straight branches, which enclose a cam between them.
- the two branches of the fork can be parallel, but they can also form a certain angle, so as to be able to confine a cam, which will guide it by its rotation.
- Each tooth is also crossed by a second axis said fixed axis, perpendicular to its length.
- the rotation of the first axis causes an eccentric rotational movement of the cam.
- This, through the fork, transmits what movement to the tooth, which it will oscillate around the fixed axis. Therefore, the outer part of the tooth which is in contact with hair, will oscillate regular and uniform.
- the cams are elliptical or ovoid, the gap between the two branches of the fork will be at less equal to the major axis of the ellipse or the ovoid.
- each tooth When the axis of the camshaft is driven in rotation by the motor, the set of teeth is brought to rotate or oscillate relative to to the common fixed axis. The end of each tooth will describe a oscillation movement in an arc. If the cams are offset from each other, the movement of each tooth will be offset from that of the two teeth which are adjacent. If the offset between two neighboring cams is 180 degrees, the teeth will oscillate in phase opposition.
- the cams are offset by an angle between 15 and 120 degrees, by preferably 90 degrees.
- the two branches can be replaced by an oblong opening, called a lumen, which confines the cam between its two parallel sides.
- the camshaft is located between the fixed axis and the outer part of the comb. This provision presents certain advantages compared to the previous provision, in particularly with regard to the range of motion of the tooth. It also reduces friction on contact cam-tooth, which leads to a time of use of the comb longer and less wear.
- each tooth may have any suitable for styling and detangling hair individuals. It can, for example, be single, double or multiple, with or without rounded tips, of round section or elliptical, flexible or rigid.
- the device comprises teeth on both sides with respect to the drive mechanism, with for example on one side simple teeth which allow the untangling and on the other side of multiple or more teeth that allow hair styling.
- the teeth and the fixed axis is partly or entirely removable, thanks to a device of two clips at the two ends of the fixed axis, which attach to the unit housing.
- all of the teeth can easily be replaced by another if the user judges that this other set is more effective.
- the tree cam can be made removable, thanks to a clip system, so that it can be replaced by another, so that change the offset of the cams.
- the mechanism tooth drive is a crankshaft driven in rotation by said motor comprising cranks eccentric with respect to said axis.
- Each tooth is guided by a crankshaft crank, via a fork or an oblong light, as already described in the first mode of production.
- Each tooth is also crossed by an axis fixed, around which it can pivot. The rotating crank will also guide each tooth in a movement oscillation.
- the fork with two branches or the oblong light which encloses a cam or a crank can be replaced by a light circular, with a diameter substantially equal to the diameter of the cam or crank.
- each tooth must have, at the level of the fixed axis, an oblong light which it is crossed by the fixed axis, and which allows the tooth the degree of freedom necessary for it to be guided by the eccentric element.
- the motor is contained in the handle of the device, and the axis of the camshaft or any other device to eccentric movement, is in the extension of the axis motor, and the teeth are perpendicular to the handle.
- the motor used is an AC motor powered by the mains, or a DC motor powered by batteries or rechargeable batteries. he it is also expected that the motor will not be incorporated in the device, but it is external. In this case, the movement of rotation is transmitted from the external motor to the device by a transmission cable. Obviously this device can be provided with any other known means which aids in styling hair, such as hot air blowers or cold.
- FIG. 1 A preferred embodiment of a comb according to the invention is illustrated in Figure 1 where an exploded view allows you to see its essential characteristics.
- the comb has a handle, a first part 10 held in the user's hand contains a rotary electric motor 12 supplied by the sector by means of supply wires 14.
- the motor 12 rotates a drive shaft 16 which serves axis to a camshaft 18 located in a second part 20 of the handle.
- the camshaft 18 is composed of a series of cams in permanent contact with the ends of a set 22 of rigid teeth.
- the set of teeth 22 is required to perform a pivoting or oscillatory movement relative to a common fixed axis 24 located in the second part 20 of the sleeve.
- the movement of each tooth is different from that of the two teeth which are adjacent.
- the user maintains set of teeth 22 in horizontal position and activation of the motor causes the teeth to move which, thanks with different movements from one tooth to another, perform the detangling hair. As you untangle it, the user can move the comb from bottom to top and also back and forth.
- the camshaft is made up of circular cams as illustrated in FIG. 2.
- Each circular cam 30 or 32 is fixed from eccentrically on a square section axis 34.
- each cam has an angular deviation of 180 ° from the previous one, say that all the even cams are fixed in the same way, all odd cams are fixed in the same way on the axis and the ones are offset by 180 ° with respect to the others.
- a tooth of the comb is engaged with the cam which is attached to it associated as shown in Figure 3a.
- the tooth includes a first part 40 external to the handle and which is used for untangling of the hair, and a second part 42 in the form of fork with two parallel branches, the two parts 40 and 42 being articulated around the fixed axis 24.
- the two branches 43, 45 of the part of the tooth 42 surround the cam 44 while staying in touch with it.
- the tooth In the position shown in Figure 3a, the tooth is at its highest point because the distance between the axis 34 and the point of tangency 46 of the cam 44 with the lower branch 45 of the fork 42 is the largest.
- each tooth performs an oscillatory movement or pivot relative to the fixed axis 24, the movements alternating or oscillating of two adjacent teeth being opposite (or reverse) if using a camshaft such as illustrated in figure 2.
- Figure 3b shows a tooth with its part rear two branches 43 'and 45' not parallel. In that case, the cam 44 is not always in permanent contact with the two branches.
- a second embodiment of the method according to the invention also allows the desired effect to be obtained, know the detangling of hair.
- the camshaft is replaced by a crankshaft 50 shown in FIG. 4.
- Each tooth 52 is articulated on a crank 54 of the crankshaft. Because tooth 52 performs a movement back and forth (or vice versa) at the same time as a up and down movement (or vice versa) due to the rotation of the crank 54 of the crankshaft which drives it, it comprises a oblong hole 56 through which the common fixed axis 24 passes and allowing the latter the necessary degree of freedom.
- the part 58 of the tooth that is in the hair is therefore animated by a rotary movement represented schematically on the figure 4 by a circular arrow, movement which is opposite (180 °) to that of the two adjacent teeth.
- This movement circular can be advantageous for certain types of hair for which simply vertical movement does not not enough to untangle.
- FIG. 5a represents a tooth having a lumen 62 to instead of a two tine fork.
- Cam 44 is in contact permanent with the two parallel walls of the light 62.
- FIG. 5b represents a variant of the previous one, with the camshaft 34 with cam 44 and the fixed axis 24 inverted.
- the cam 44 is at its lowest point, therefore, the tip of the tooth will also be at its most low.
- Figure 6 is a longitudinal section of a tooth with centering nipples 60. Each pin 60, fits into the female part 61 of the neighboring tooth (not shown).
- Figure 7a shows a sectional view of a device with multiple teeth, or with different teeth. We see that the device can have two sets of teeth, one this each side of the drive mechanism 40 and 40 '.
- FIG. 7b represents a longitudinal section of the previous with in addition two adjacent teeth connected by centering nipples 60.
- the teeth of the first series 40, intended for disentangling, are more spaced and less numerous than those of the opposite series 66, intended for styling.
- FIG. 8 represents a comb, the handle 10 of which contains the electric motor 12 and is perpendicular to the camshaft 34.
- the rotational movement is transmitted by the axis 16 of the engine to the camshaft 34 by a screw without end.
- the comb according to the invention may include teeth more or less long, for example between 4 cm and 15 cm, and even have teeth of different lengths.
- the width of the tooth can be included for example from 1.5 mm to 5 mm. Their spacing can be more or less important depending on the size of the hair to be disentangled, for example from 2 mm to 6 mm.
- the teeth are preferably made of plastic, but can also be made of metal. They can be from any shape, with straight edges or slightly curved. Thus, the curved tooth shape presented in Figure 5 is perfectly suited to give volume to the hairstyle.
