- Data communication device for a vehicle (5) which is towed by a motor vehicle and to which electrical operating energy is transmitted via a cable connection to the motor vehicle, a separate power supply (14), a data registration unit (7) and a transmitting and receiving device (6) being provided for the wire-free, short-range transmission of data of the data registration unit (7) to an external transmitting and receiving station (1), a pulse generator (9) being provided which outputs pulses as a function of a movement of a wheel (8) of the towed vehicle (5), said pulses being fed to the power supply unit (14) and rectified by it, and the pulse generator (9) being at the same time a sensor of an anti-lock device.
- Data communication device according to Claim 1, characterized by a back-up battery (15) for providing a supplementary power supply.
- Data communication device according to one of Claims 1 to 2, characterized by a connection to a power supply for the rear light, brake light and driving direction indicator for providing a supplementary power supply.
- Data communication device according to Claim 2 or 3, characterized by an accumulator which can be charged by means of excess electrical energy.
- Data communication device according to one of Claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the transmitting and receiving device (6) is formed by a transponder.
- Data communication device according to one of Claims 1 to 5, characterized in that the transmitting and receiving device (6) is configured to transmit and receive at a frequency in the GHz range.
- Data communication device according to one of Claims 1 to 6, characterized in that the data registration unit (7) is part of a controller (10), installed in the towed vehicle (5), for a brake anti-lock device.
- Data communication device according to one of Claims 1 to 7, characterized by an evaluation stage (11) for evaluating the pulses of a plurality of pulse generators (9) which are assigned to the wheels (8) and have the purpose of determining the distance travelled.
- Data communication device according to one of Claims 1 to 8, characterized by the networking of the data registration unit (7) with other data sources.
- Data communication device according to one of Claims 1 to 9, characterized by a control circuit for carrying out an immobilizer function.
- Use of a data communication device according to one of Claims 1 to 10, for checking the issuing and return of the towed vehicle (5).
- Use of a data communication device according to one of Claims 1 to 10, for controlling entry and/or exit checks.
