Description
The present invention relates to a device for connecting a coaxial cable to a printed circuit board.
There are already known devices for connecting a coaxial cable to a printed circuit board which consist of two connector elements, one male, the other female, one being mounted at the end of the coaxial cable, the other being subject to the printed circuit board, by soldering or by forced insertion into holes provided for this purpose in the card.
The electrical connection between the coaxial cable and the card is then obtained by coupling the two connector elements.
These known devices have the disadvantage of being relatively expensive to make because they require manufacturing and the assembly of many high precision parts.
In addition, the installation of such devices, on the one hand to the end of the coaxial cable, on the other hand on the circuit board printed, involves a significant number of manipulations.
We know from WO-A-9 517 024, the characteristics of which are the subject of the preamble
of

The present invention aims to provide a device for connecting a coaxial cable to a printed circuit board, without soldering operations, using a reduced number of easy to manufacture and assemble parts to ensure cable connection to the board.
The features of the invention are the subject of
We understand that the two contact pins come to rest against the printed circuit board when the connection face of the body is applied to it, thanks to the fixing means.
It is therefore sufficient to provide, on this printed circuit board, tracks opposite the contact pins, tracks against which the outer ends of said contact pins come take support when the body is pressed against the card printed circuit board.
In this way, a seamless connection is made between the tracks on the printed circuit board and the coaxial cable.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the body is made in two complementary parts each comprising a half-housing for the end of the coaxial cable, the two parts being able to close on said end of the coaxial cable to submit to it.
In a particular embodiment, each pawn of contact comprises, opposite its external end projecting from the connection face, one end internal to the body opening into the housing, each internal end being arranged so that the core, respectively the outer braid, of the coaxial cable enters contact with the pin when the coaxial cable is put in place with its bare end in the housing of the body.
Advantageously, the contact pins are produced by compaction of very small diameter metal wires, for example 0.01 mm diameter molybdenum wires.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the means fixing consists of a base adapted to receive the body and to hold it by snap-fastening with its connection face against the printed circuit board.
This base is advantageously provided with studs capable of penetrate forcefully into holes made for this purpose in the printed circuit board.

circuit imprimé 3.The device shown in the drawing comprises a

This housing is produced in two half-housings which are each provided in one of the two

centrale 7.In the
The
tronçons 10 et 11 identiques à ceux de la partie supérieure 1a.The half-housing of the
1b comprend une cavité parallélépipédique 12'.On the other hand, opposite the
As seen in Figure 4, when the
latérales 21, 22 et 23.It thus comprises a
supérieure 27.These
As can be seen in the drawing, the
imprimé 3, en direction de celle-ci.The substantially triangular section of the
ladite embase.The height of the
The base includes a
The
plots 29 et deux orifices 32 en regard des plots 30.To receive the base and the body, we made in the card

formant une plaque de masse.Almost the entire surface of the printed
printed 3 and the
It is understood that the embodiment which comes to be described has no limiting nature and that it may receive any desirable changes without leaving the scope of the invention as defined by the claims that follow.
