Description
The present invention relates to a bent coaxial connector element capable of being fixed to a printed circuit board.
Coaxial connectors are already known which make it possible to electrically connect two printed boards arranged perpendicularly to one another.
La demanderesse a déjà décrit un tel connecteur coaxial dans FR-A-2.685.553.The Applicant has already described such a coaxial connector in FR-A-2,685,553.
This connector comprises a straight element as well as a bent element, which is provided, on one of its faces, with pins for its connection to a first printed circuit board and, on a face perpendicular to the first, of coaxial contacts suitable for cooperate with coaxial contacts of the straight element which is connected to a second printed card arranged perpendicular to the first printed card.
The bent element is generally connected to the first printed card by plugging and soldering with tin-lead of its pins in corresponding orifices made on said card.
In certain cases, the bent element has, as pins, force-insertable contacts.
These contacts comprise an elastic central part which has an outer section greater than the section for passage of the orifices provided on the card.
The mounting on the printed card of a connector element provided with force-insertable contacts is carried out by exerting a significant force (of the order of 30 to 100 Newtons) by contact on its face opposite to the card, so force the contacts inside the holes.
Once attached to the circuit board, the connector element exhibits good mechanical strength.
However, in practice there is an insufficiency in the electrical transmission properties, due to a certain mismatch of impedance.
The present invention aims to provide a bent element of coaxial connector avoiding in particular this drawback.
The subject of the present invention is a bent coaxial connector element of the type comprising a substantially parallelepipedic conductive body, at least two bent conductive rods, each of which has one end connected to a pin projecting from one of the faces of said body and one connected end. to the central conductor of a coaxial contact, projecting from another face of said body and perpendicular to the pin, each bent conductive rod being held by an insulator inside an internal L-shaped conduit produced in the body , characterized in that the substantially parallelepipedic conductive body is produced in two parts assembled along a plane containing the axes of the two branches of the bent conductive rods.
Thanks to such an arrangement, the angled conductive rod provided with its insulator can be easily inserted inside the body of the connector element according to the invention, before assembly of the two parts of which it is made.
Advantageously, the insulator also comprises, at the ends of the bent conductive rod, surfaces bearing on the one hand against the internal wall of the L-shaped internal conduit, on the other hand against the internal wall of the external sleeve of the coaxial contact .
Thanks to such an insulator, pressure can be exerted on the connector element without damaging it, the force resulting from this pressure being exerted, through the wall of the body of the connector element, on the bent conductive rod. , which transmits this force to the projecting pins penetrating into the orifices provided for this purpose on the circuit board.
Thus, force-insertable contacts can be used as pins allowing the connection of the elbow connector element on the printed circuit board.
