- the L-profiles face each other so that there is a corresponding undercut.
- the first edge 16 of the tab 15 is profiled in the shape of a mushroom head.
- the relevant profile 19 lies between the two strip-shaped holding projections 14, 14 'and engages behind the undercut.
- the tab 15 protrudes into the bottom 13 with its second edge 17. Since the flap 15 is comparatively long or wide, there is a correspondingly good or deep sealing against moisture.
- the seal of FIG. 1, 2 has the peculiarity that the flap 15 is turned away from the threshold profile by approximately 90 degrees and is located below a floor covering 18.
- the floor covering 18 is, for example, a floating screed with a screed layer 18 'on a base 18' ', which can be sound-insulating, for example. In the production of this floor covering 18, the tab 15 takes over the moisture sealing of the floor 13 below the door sill profile 10.
- a further sealing on the outside of the profile takes place between the holding projection 14 and the floor covering 18.
- a spray sealing 28 takes place, which has the task of preventing moisture from penetrating between the floor covering 18 and the tab 15 before the latter.
- this spray seal can contribute to the tab 15 remaining undamaged in the free area between the holding projections 14, 14 'and the floor 13 or the floor covering 18.
- the further seal 23 can be provided, which rests on the floor 13.
- pre-compressed sealing tapes are used, which can be assembled in the factory with the door sill profile and do not protrude from the floor, since a suitable cover is available. This cover, not shown, engages on both sides in longitudinally extending recesses 29 and prevents the pre-compressed sealing tape from undesirably expanding until it is removed.
- a sealing tape which is particularly suitable for large-area sealing, any penetration of moisture or water on the floor 13 in the direction of the threshold fastening can be reliably prevented. To a certain extent, water tightness can be achieved.
- the seal 23 is held by retaining webs 22, which comprise the seal 23 on its narrow edges.

- the seal 23 is comparatively flat, so that 12 screw retaining strips 20 can be arranged between it and the threshold step surface.
- the bottom holding projection 14 ' is at the same time a floor support means or a holding bar 22 in the sense of a previously described supporting bar 11. The support takes place immediately in the neighborhood of the flap 15 on the side sealed by this.
- the door sill profile 10 is designed to be considerably longer or wider.
- screw retaining strips 20 are provided several times in pairs in order to be able to use them for fastening end pieces.
- a floor fastening means 21 has been indicated only schematically, which is inserted into the end faces of the door sill profile 10 in order to be able to press the profile against the floor via web projections 11 'when the floor fastening means 21 is fixed to the floor 13.
- the holding projections 14, 14 ' are not present directly on the profile outer edge 30. This carries you close to the ground Reaching web 30 'and the distance between this and the nearest retaining projection 14 is sealed with molding compound 31. A larger volume of this molding compound can be accommodated, so that the durability is improved accordingly.
- the space between the retaining projection 14 'and the nearest retaining web 22 is used to attach two screw retaining strips 20 here, so that the door sill profile 10 can be firmly connected to the floor 13 near its outer edge 30.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a threshold, in particular a door sill profile with supporting webs which support a threshold tread at a distance from a floor, and with retaining projections on the bottom for an elastic floor seal.
Such a threshold is known from US 3 148 419. It is a door sill, the retaining projections on the bottom are grooved in order to take up spray compound in order to be supported directly and via this spray compound on the floor.
It has been shown that the molding compound is not permanently tight. Environmental influences and the natural aging process mean that moisture can penetrate into the area below the threshold and have a destructive effect there. For example, the floor screw that keeps the threshold on the floor is oxidized. It may also be the case that the floor below the threshold is not sealed and moisture penetrates.
In contrast, the invention has for its object to improve a threshold with the features mentioned so that the ingress of moisture into the area below the threshold can be excluded with certainty.
This object is achieved in that the elastic floor seal is a permanently tight rag which is attached to the retaining projections with a first edge and which projects into the floor with the opposite second edge.
It is important for the invention that an elastic spray seal is generally avoided. Rather, the elastic floor seal is achieved by a durable, long-lasting rag, for example a rubber rag or a rubber apron in the form of a long strip. The first edge of this flap on the threshold side serves to secure it and the second edge is used to insert the flap into the ground. As a result, a permanent curtain is created that shuts off all moisture. The special design of the rag depends on the application. For example, the depth with which the flap protrudes into the ground can be determined according to the application. A comparatively short or narrow cloth is sufficient if only the surface area of the floor is to be blocked off from outside moisture. Special floor constructions may require the tab to protrude deeper into the floor. The rag also has a number of other functional advantages. It can be factory-made, for example, with the threshold as a pre-assembled parts kit, so that connection work on site is not necessary. In particular, it is no longer necessary to provide elastic spraying for the desired main seal.
A further improvement of the seal can be achieved in that the flap is laid in the ground pointing away from the threshold profile at approximately 90 degrees. Accordingly, moisture is kept away from the floor area below the threshold and cannot migrate there. This is of advantage, for example, when the floor absorbs moisture or could bring in moisture due to weather influences.
Furthermore, the threshold can be designed that a floor covering is arranged on the cloth and adjacent to a vertical cloth section. As a result, the elastic floor seal or the flap is securely anchored in the floor in accordance with the floor covering. In the case of newly manufactured flooring, for example when making a floor screed, moisture from this flooring can be kept away from the area of the floor below the threshold.
An embodiment of the threshold is possible in that the tab is locked with its first edge on at least one retaining projection on the bottom. The latching of the tab with the threshold has the advantage that it can be released again without the floor seal being destroyed when the threshold is released. Rather, it is possible to reassemble the threshold with the floor seal not removed from the floor. In general, the latching simplifies the assembly of the rag with the threshold.
A constructively advantageous solution is achieved in that it has two L-shaped mutually facing retaining projections, between which the first edge is buttoned with a mushroom-shaped profile. With a mushroom-shaped profile, the first edge of the flap can be buttoned in comparatively easily and still withstands larger pull-out forces before the snap connection is released again.
If the outer seal is to be further improved in the area of the outer front side of the threshold, it is designed in such a way that the outer holder projection is sealed against the floor with spray compound. This spray compound only takes over the external sealing of the sealing flap against creep moisture, so it is not an exclusive seal. This prevents moisture from entering the floor area before the rag. This helps to preserve the floor area in the area adjacent to the rag and to protect the rag.
The threshold can be designed in such a way that that it has on the sealed side of the tab adjacent longitudinally extending screw retaining strips and / or floor fasteners. Floor fastenings of the threshold are possible with the screw retaining strips and with the floor fasteners. For example, end pieces are screwed onto the end faces of the threshold by screwing fastening screws into the screw holding strips, the end pieces being able to be fastened to the floor. Floor fasteners are, for example, floor anchors that are attached to the underside of the threshold.
A further improvement of the moisture seal in the area of the threshold is achieved in that it is provided near the cloth with a seal lying on the floor. The additional sealing on the floor improves moisture sealing in extreme cases, e.g. against running water that does not hold the elastic floor seal. The seal on the floor can be assembled with the threshold without any design effort. There is enough space below the outer threshold wall between this and the floor.
An advantageous constructive development of the threshold results from the fact that it is supported on the floor with a retaining projection of the flap and / or with a retaining web holding the seal resting on the floor. In these configurations, the holding means used for sealing purposes and the bottom holding projections are structurally combined, so that in addition to the bottom holding projections, no special constructive means are required to hold the tab or the seal resting on the floor.

The thresholds shown in FIGS. 1, 2 are
The
A further sealing on the outside of the profile takes place between the holding
If the above-described seal is considered insufficient, for example because it cannot be applied over the entire length of the threshold, the
The
Since the
The
In the
The space between the retaining projection 14 'and the nearest retaining
