Definitions
- the present invention relates to a high circuit breaker resistance voltage inserted at closing.
- It relates more precisely to a circuit breaker with high voltage including in an envelope filled with gas dielectric a first arcing contact and a second contact arc moving in opposite directions of a position opening to a closed position and vice versa, the first contact being secured by a ring to a tube sliding in a support part electrically connected to A power socket.
- Such contact arrangements are commonly used in circuit breakers especially in so-called armored metal casing circuit breakers.
- said ring is then conductive to allow the passage of the current from the first contact to said socket.
- circuit breakers it may be necessary to insert a closing resistance as it is conventional to do it in high voltage circuit breakers, as described for example in patent document FR-2 612,683 filed by the Applicant.
- the object of the invention is to provide an arrangement closing resistance insert, which adapts to the type of circuit breaker mentioned above, without significant modification in the breaking chamber of this circuit breaker and keeping unchanged the dimension of it, while not requiring not significant maneuvering energy.
- said ring is made of insulating material
- the first contact is extended by a coaxial rod at this contact, arranged on the side opposite to the second contact and connected to a resistor and this rod carries a switching member arranged to electrically connect said rod directly and the support part being closed.
- the mounting of the closing resistor does not require therefore that the replacement of the conductive ring by a insulating material ring and mounting the rod extension, with regard to the breaking chamber.
- the switching consists of a ring carried by said rod and carrying an arrangement intended to come and hang in a latching part carried by the support part.
- said arrangement is a crown of flexible fingers with end caps.
- the switching member In order to allow the insertion of the resistance during at least partial displacement of contact opening, the switching member is pushed by a spring against a stop fixed to the rod, the pressure force of this spring being directed in the same direction as the direction of opening movement of the first contact and the door rod a switching device disconnection shoulder and of the snap-in part at the end of opening.
- the electrical connection between the resistance and the rod is made by a tube in which is introduced the rod and equipped with a sliding contact.
- Figure 1 is a partial sectional view longitudinal of a circuit breaker according to the invention, in open position.
- Figure 2 is a partial sectional view longitudinal of a circuit breaker according to the invention, in a first intermediate position when it is closed.
- Figure 3 is a partial sectional view longitudinal of a circuit breaker according to the invention, in a second intermediate position when it is closed.
- Figure 4 is a partial sectional view longitudinal of a circuit breaker according to the invention, in closed position.
- the circuit breaker shown is a high circuit breaker tension in a metal envelope called armored.
- the invention can be transposed to conventional equipment envelope in ceramic or synthetic material.
- It has a switching chamber 1 in a envelope 1A, a resistance 2 receiving chamber in an enclosure 2A and a socket outlet 3 deadtank type in a 3A envelope.
- the resistance consists of two stacks of resistive pads 20, 21 put in series thanks to a metal plate 23 supported by a material cone insulator 24 fixed to an envelope wall 25.
- Each of these batteries is mounted in a manner known per se in a tube insulating material 26, 27 embedded in a room 28, 29 metal fixed to the plate 23 and retaining to its other end of a metal block 30, 31 to which is attached a metal rod 32, 33.
- the pellets are pushed against this block 30, 31 by a spring 34, 35 interposed between the part 28, 29 and a metallic contact pad 36, 37 arranged at the base of each stack of resistive pads.
- rod 32 which will called entry rod
- block 30 the first stack of resistive pads 21, the contact pad 36, the spring 34, metal part 28, plate 23, part metal 29, the spring 35, the contact pad 37, the second stack of resistive pads 22, block 31, for arrive at rod 33 which will be called exit rod, or can follow the opposite path.
- the outlet rod 33 is permanently connected to the socket 40 in chamber 3.
- this socket 40 is integral with a tubular support piece 41 disposed in the breaking chamber 1 and receiving one of the arcing contacts, as will be explained below.
- This piece tubular support 41 is supported by a material cone insulator 43 fixed on an envelope wall 44 separating the chambers 1, 2, thanks to a screwed metal ring 42 on the support piece 41 and blocking said cone 43 therebetween and the support piece 41.
- FELS spring type
- the first contact arc 50 consisting of a conventional tip extending by screwed by a metal extension rod 51 which is introduced into the input rod 32 which is hollow, this last being electrically connected to the rod extension 51 by a sliding contact 52.
- a ring, for example conical, of insulating material 54 whose outer edge is fixed to a metal tube 55 intended to slide in the support piece 41.
- this tube 55 is secured to a operating rod made of insulating material 56, by an arm 57 having a hole in which the part is threaded support 41.
- the extension rod 51 carries a switching 58 pushed against a ring or shoulder 59 secured to the extension rod 51 by a spring 60 interposed between this switching member 58 and the first shoulder 53.
- the switching member 58 consists a sliding ring on the extension rod 51 by through a sliding contact 58A and carrying a crown 61 of slightly flexible fingers end.
- the ring or shoulder 59 and the first shoulder 53 are distant by a length 1.
- the support piece 41 carries a portion snap ring 62, arranged at its end and intended to receive and block said fingers of the crown 61 and to ensure the passage of current between the organ of switching 58 and support part 41, as will be seen more far.
- the second arcing contact 70 is of the contact type mobile described in patent document FR-2 612 683, shaped in a manner known per se, consisting of fingers contact and in solidarity with a mobile crew carrying a nozzle blowing 71.
- the two arcing contacts 50, 70 are therefore mobile and can be operated by a drive device common, and in this case at equal speed, or be operated by different drive devices, and in this case possibly at different speeds.
- the circuit breaker works as follows.
- FIG. 1 the circuit breaker is shown in open position.
- Arc contacts 50, 70 are distant one from the other, the tube 55 carrying the first arcing contact 50 being in its leftmost position, where it is at maximum introduced into the tubular support piece 41 and the moving element carrying the second arcing contact 70 in its rightmost position.
- Distance 1 is such that the switching member 58 is distant from the part snap 62 and is located on the side opposite contact 50.
- the support part 41 and therefore the socket 40 are therefore not directly electrically connected to the rod extension 51 but are connected via the resistance then inserted and ensuring the potential of the arcing contact.
- the first contact 50 is introduced into the second contact 70 and the resistor is always inserted.
- the switching member 58 has its fingers 61 snapped into the snap portion 62.
- main contacts 50A and 70A come into contact and ensure the passage of current.
- the contacts are moved in the direction reverse, distant from each other.
- the snap of the switching member 58 and the latching part 62 continues until a 51A shoulder has reached the switching member 58.
- This shoulder 51A pushes the switching member 58 and separates it from the part snap 62 then the spring 60 returns the switching 58 to its initial position for opening the breaker.
- the release of the switching member 58 from the snap-in part 62 takes place near the total open position or at this position.
