The embodiment of the front panel shown in FIG. 1 according to the invention comprises three joined together Layers 2, 4, 6 made of a transparent material, e.g. Plexiglas. The layers 2, 4, 6 are to blister to avoid between layers by vacuum gluing together. Layers 2 and 4 can also be combined in one Be made.

Fine conductor patterns are printed on the rear layer 6, around different, controllable on the front of the front panel, mechanical control and setting means with one Front panel connector 12 in the form of contacts or flat cables connect to. These ladder patterns that are so fine with the help that they do not disturb the transparency a screen printing technique. The printed conductor patterns can also be made from coal tracks.

Because the front panel has only a single front panel connector 12, the front panel is when must be replaced, can be switched on and off.

Layer 4 is an insulating and spacing layer, and the front layer 2 serves as a guide for the mechanical Control and setting means 8, 10. Layer 4 must be have sufficient insulation so that components such as Potentiometers can work with analog signals (FIG. 2). The back layer 6 can be made very thin while the front layer 2 must be sufficiently thick so that the mechanical control and setting means, such as the push button 8 and the knob 10, sufficient guidance in their respective recesses 14, 16 of the layers 2, 4 obtained. The total thickness of layers 2, 4, 6 should not be greater than necessary, because too much strength is a negative one Affect the transparency of the front panel can. The front panel according to the invention falls below one total thickness of 1 cm, which is certainly a good one Ensures transparency.

Between layers 2 and 4 is against electromagnetic Shield interference, preferably a shield layer arranged. The shield layer is a conductive one Layer, such as a metal layer or a carbon layer. A Metallized polyester film can also be used to advantage become. Because the metal layers are made very thin 300 nm, the film is transparent. Also a thin woven metal cloth can be used. A towel can be made of stainless steel wire or black oxidized Copper wire with a wire diameter of 0.05 mm and made with a mesh size of 100 openings per inch what makes the cloth sufficiently transparent.

Alternatively, layer 2, e.g. through metallization, be made conductive to act as an umbrella to serve electromagnetic interference.

In layers 2 and 4 there are recesses 14, 16 for the mechanical control and setting means such as the push button 8 and the knob 10 drilled. The recesses 14, 16 are on the layer 4 expanded so that the push button 8 and the Knob 10 in its recesses 14 and 16 respectively flange-like, protruding parts 18 and 20, respectively the end sides of the pushbutton 8 or the rotary knob 10 the layer 6 are present.

Inside in part 22 of push button 8, which is in the Recess 14 extends and which is hollow is a spring 24 arranged. The compression spring 24 is at one end against layer 6 and with its other end against that of the front panel seen from the outward end of the Part 22 on, the spring 24, the push button 8, of the Front panel and seen from layer 6, to the outside suppressed.

On the end face of the flange-like part 18, which against Layer 6 and its line pattern are two Contacts 26, 28 arranged with the parts provided for it of the line pattern at layer 6 can be by pushing the button 8 towards the inside in the front panel by overcoming the pressure force of the spring 24 is pressed. When the two contacts 26, 28 with each other are electrically connected, you can therefore by pressing the Key 8, corresponding contacted parts of the line pattern electrically connect with each other.

The push button 8 can possibly only be used with a contact, e.g. 26, may be provided, while 28 serves as a support so the push button is not when pressed in its recess 14 to be crooked and contact with layer 6 in Connection is coming. The rotary knob 10 can be the rotary knob one Potentiometers, a switch, a pulse generator or the like. In this case too are against Layer 6 and its line pattern facing surface of the flange-like part 20 contacts 30, 32 arranged. On the same area, essentially diametrically opposite to the Contacts 30, 32, a support 34 is arranged so that the Rotary knob 10 is always in the correct position in recess 16 occupies.

In FIG. 2, layer 6 is on the line pattern Potentiometer pattern shown, which is intended to lie below the rotary knob 10. The potentiometer pattern includes a resistance track 36, the ends of which one conductor 40 and 42 are connected and one each closed conduit 38 connected to a conductor 43 is.

In this case there is a contact plate instead of the contacts 30, 32 31 arranged, which is provided against the webs 36th or 38 to lie. Part of the entire resistance track between the conductors 40, 43 and between the conductors 42, 43 is therefore short-circuited and this short-circuited So part can be varied by turning the knob 10.

The rotational position of the knob 10 is between the Conductors 40, 43 or between the conductors 42, 43 consequently one Obtain complementary varying resistance. In practice are often two of the leaders, e.g. conductors 42 and 43 coupled together and the measurement takes place between the coupled conductors 42, 43 and conductor 40.

In FIG. 3 is the pattern on the line pattern of layer 6 a switch or a pulse generator shown that too is provided below a rotary knob, e.g. the knob 10 to lie. The switch or the Pulse generator comprises a circular conductor 46. Outside of this conductor 46 are radial at regular intervals inward facing metal tabs 48. A with the controllable knob 10 shown in FIG 1 Contact plate or a contact tongue 47 is constantly against the conductor 46, which is often connected to earth. The contact plate 47 is so wide that there is one in certain locations Connects to two nearby metal tabs 48, while in the intermediate layers it is only with one of the metal tongues 48 is connected. When turning the knob 10 is or will be one or two of the metal tongues 48 successively with that connected to earth Head 46 connected. By measuring the resistance between the metal tongues 48 and the conductor 46 connected to earth it is therefore possible to change the position of the contact plate 47 as well to determine its direction of movement.

In FIG. 4 is the pattern of another embodiment of a switch or pulse generator, which is also there allows you to decide in which direction the associated one Rotary knob and thus also the contact tongue 64 rotated becomes. This pattern includes three conductors 54, 56, 58. The Conductor 54 has a circular central portion 55 µm the circumference of the metal tongue pointing outwards 60 in are arranged at regular intervals. The Head 56 is correspondingly circular Part that with inward conductive tabs is provided, which is also arranged at regular intervals are connected. Between these conductors is one with earth connected reference conductor 57 arranged in connection with the conductor 58. There is also a contact tongue 64 provided by means of one at the front of the front panel arranged rotary knob over the metal tongue 60, over the circular conductor 57 and rotatable via the tongues 62 is. The contact tongue 64 is in constant connection with the Reference conductor 57, 58 and extends from the conductor 57 seen, outwards and inwards in such a way that they Turning past makes contact with the tongues 60, 62. In contrast, the contact tongue 64 does not reach the circular ones Parts of the inner and outer conductors. When turning the Contact tongue 64 thus becomes one of the outer tongues 62, both one outer and one inner tongue 60, only one inner tongue 60, both an inner and an outer tongue 62, only an outer tongue 62 etc. gradually with the reference conductor 57 connected and the resistance between the conductors 54 and 58 or between 56 and 58 is like two phase shifted Pulse trains vary, making up the direction of rotation the contact tongue 64 can be determined. The exact look and the mutual positions of the pulse trains are due to the Formation of tongues 60, 62 and their mutual positions, certainly.

It is important that the seal with respect to the interior Front plate in the area of the bushings for the control and Setting means 8, 10 is ensured. Around the rotary knob 10 1, there is therefore a sealing 0-ring 66 arranged. Similarly, suitable sealants must be used (not shown here) arranged on the push button 8 to be against the front of the front panel or against the Wall of the recess 14 to seal.
