- the storage container has a gas space which is provided above the liquid phase of the cryofuel and is connected via a line to a compressor and a pressure container.
- the storage container gas can be drawn from the gas phase and pressed into the pressure container, for example a bundle of bottles. This lowers the pressure in the storage tank and thus increases its service life.
- the pressure vessel is connected to the pressure delivery tank via a line; the end of the line is preferably designed as a pearl tube and arranged in the liquid cryofuel of the pressure feed tank.
- the liquid cryofuel is conditioned via the gas removed from the pressure vessel, i.e. H. brought to a certain vapor pressure. For this purpose, warm gas bubbles through the liquid cryofuel and gives off its heat of condensation to the liquid cryofuel.

Description
The invention relates to a device for refueling a vehicle according to the preamble of
Cryofuels are becoming increasingly important due to the increased energy requirements and the increasing environmental pollution caused by conventional energy sources. They tend to evaporate due to changes in pressure and temperature. It is therefore desirable to have a refueling device which can be adapted to these changes in pressure and temperature and the associated changes between gas and liquid phase with almost no fuel loss and with which the amount of cryofuel can be detected. The refueling device should be simple in design and operated by customers in a similar way to conventional refueling devices and should also be inexpensive to manufacture.
The invention has for its object to provide a device for refueling a motor vehicle with cryofuel, which provides the cryofuel in a desired pressure and temperature range and independently regulates the process required for refueling. The amount of cryofuel should be recorded inexpensively.
Starting from the prior art mentioned in the preamble of
Vorteilhafte Weiterbildungen sind in den Unteransprüchen angegeben.Advantageous further developments are specified in the subclaims.
According to the invention, a pressure delivery tank is connected via a feed line and a storage container via a return line to a clutch in order to use the clutch to fuel the vehicle with cryofuel flowing from the pressure delivery tank, to cool the vehicle's tank and the lines of the device before refueling and relieve the pressure of the gaseous cryofuel before the safety valves of the vehicle tank respond. The insulated pressure delivery tank is provided to pressurize the liquid cryofuel such that the liquid cryofuel flows to the vehicle via the supply line and the coupling. Vehicle is understood to mean buses, trucks, passenger cars and other vehicles, such as airplanes. The pressure delivery tank is connected to a storage tank of larger volume in which the liquid cryofuel is stored.
An advantageous embodiment of the invention consists in the arrangement of the outlet of the feed line and the inlet of the return line in the liquid cryofuel of the pressure feed tank and the storage container, because via this connection the liquid cryofuel of the pressure feed tank up to the clutch or the vehicle tank and back into the liquid cryofuel of the storage tank can be directed. This enables the hose and the warm vehicle tank to be driven cold, the heated liquid or gaseous cryofuel being supplied to the liquid phase of the storage container. The amount of the liquid phase of the cryofuel in the storage tank is always such that none unwanted increase in pressure in the storage tank takes place by absorbing the heat of condensation.
The coupling is connected to the gaseous and liquid cryofuel of the vehicle tank via connecting lines, so that, on the one hand, the cryofuel supplied from the pressure delivery tank flows into the liquid phase of the tank and, on the other hand, if the tank pressure is too high, the gaseous cryofuel is removed from the tank and led into the liquid phase of the storage container can. This enables emission-free refueling of the vehicle as well as emission-free cold driving of the vehicle container.
Shut-off devices are arranged in the connecting lines of the vehicle tank, which allow the gaseous or liquid cryofuel to be withdrawn or supplied.
A quantity measuring device is arranged in the feed line running from the pressure supply tank to the coupling, which measures the filling quantity of the liquid cryofuel.
The return line advantageously has a bypass line with a gas measuring device arranged between two shut-off elements. During operation of the device, the net filling quantity can be formed by measuring the gaseous and liquid cryofuel. The system can be verified using the difference. The heat input into the cryofuel is minimized by the quantity measurement.
The quantity measuring devices are advantageously arranged in an evacuated valve box. As a result, the heat inflow is low; the measuring devices do not freeze.
A section of the supply and return line fastened to the valve box and connected to the coupling is designed to be flexible and is suitable for connection to the vehicle tank.
The storage container has a gas space which is provided above the liquid phase of the cryofuel and is connected via a line to a compressor and a pressure container. By means of the compressor, the storage container gas can be drawn from the gas phase and pressed into the pressure container, for example a bundle of bottles. This lowers the pressure in the storage tank and thus increases its service life.
The pressure vessel is connected to the pressure delivery tank via a line; the end of the line is preferably designed as a pearl tube and arranged in the liquid cryofuel of the pressure feed tank. The liquid cryofuel is conditioned via the gas removed from the pressure vessel, i.e. H. brought to a certain vapor pressure. For this purpose, warm gas bubbles through the liquid cryofuel and gives off its heat of condensation to the liquid cryofuel.
An embodiment of the invention is shown in the drawing and is described in more detail below:
In the drawing, a device for refueling vehicles is designated 94. The device essentially consists of a
Although the

In

The liquid cryofuel is then conditioned via
The
In the evacuated
- 1. Cold running the filling hose 15
After thecoupling 16 of the filling hose 15 has been connected to thecoupling 100 of thevehicle 109, the filling hose 15 heated to ambient temperature is cold-run. To do this, valve 4, valve 5, valve 6, valve 7 andvalve 1 are opened. The liquid cryofuel LNG flows through thehose 17,valve box 80, filling hose 15 to thecoupling 16 and back to thevalve box 80 and via valve 7 andhose 18 back into the liquid phase of thestorage container 20. The vehicle-side valves 105 and 106 in thevehicle 109 are closed. The system is set to the temperature of the liquid cryocaffeine LNG by the circuit cooling and the temperature-loaded cryocaffectant is passed into the liquid phase of thestorage container 20. The amount of liquid cryofuel LNG stored in thestorage container 20 is suitable for absorbing the heat absorbed during cold driving. - 2nd
When a set temperature switching point (TIS) onsensor 95 is reached, valves 7 and 1 are closed and vehicle-side valve 105 is opened. The liquid cryofuel now flows via thecoupling 16 andcoupling 100 of thevehicle 109 into thevehicle tank 110 to be filled. At the same time, the filling quantity is measured by means of thequantity measuring device 85. - 3. Gas decrease from
vehicle tank 110
If thevehicle tank 110 has an excessively high pressure or if it rises excessively high during the filling process, this can be done viaconnection 74,valve 106, 100, 16, filling hose 15, viacoupling bypass line 78 when valve 8 is open, and 9 viareturn line 18 whenopen Valve 1 in the liquid phase of thestorage container 20 are relieved. For this purpose, vehicle valve 105 is closed andvalve 106 is opened. The quantity flowing back into the storage tank is measured by thequantity measuring device 90. The net quantity which is filled into thevehicle tank 110 can be determined by forming a difference between the 85 and 90. This enables the quantity measurement to be verified.quantity measuring device - 4. Cold driving a
warm vehicle tank 110
By alternately filling (point 2) and returning the gas (point 3) a warm vehicle tank 110 (intermittent refueling operation), it can be cold-filled and filled without exhaust gases (for example when starting up the vehicle tank).
