Abstract

As part of the known measures, the packaged goods elements are arranged in a single layer next to one another so that each packaged goods element is accessible from the outside and can thus be labeled. The object of the invention is to further reduce the need for packaging material in the case of an outer packaging of the type described in the introduction and also to facilitate access to the packaged goods elements if the packaged goods elements are presented in multiple layers.

To achieve this object, the invention teaches that the packaged goods consist of at least two identical groups stacked on top of one another, each consisting of a plurality of packaged goods elements arranged next to one another, and that the groups are bordered in pairs by a tightly fitting strapping band, which is provided with a window-forming distance from the ground or to an adjacent strapping band as a connecting strapping abuts both at a head-side end and at a bottom-side end of the directly stacked groups. The strapping has a double function. It proves particularly expedient in the case of relatively high packaged goods elements to secure the group of packaged goods elements forming the top end of the packaged goods assembly against tipping. For this purpose, the invention teaches that the group of packaged goods forming the top end of the packaged goods is additionally strapped by a tight-fitting head strap, an open field of vision remaining between the head strap and the adjacent connection strapping. A large number of packaging materials can be used in the outer packaging according to the invention. If you work with a packaging material that has only a low tear strength transversely to the strapping direction, for example kraft paper, the invention recommends that the strapping has C-shaped reinforcement edges folded inwards. The C-shaped folding of the strapping gives the top edge and the bottom edge of the strip tight against the packaged goods a surprisingly high tear resistance. Unintentional opening of the packaging due to damage to the strapping during transport and handling is largely excluded. There is also no risk of injury from sharp edges.

With the outer packaging described so far, there is no direct functional bond between the bottom tray and the additional banderole. The invention achieves this with simple means, namely through the described arrangement and guidance of the guarantee sleeve.

In the context of the invention, the guarantee band can be designed as a full strapping and can completely enclose the bottom tray. However, there is also the option of carrying out the guarantee band as a partial strapping and fastening it with its ends under the bottom tray or on the side walls of the bottom tray. At least one end of the guarantee sleeve can always protrude as an opening tab.

The design of the guarantee sleeve is basically arbitrary. It can consist of a simple strip of packaging paper. However, there is also the possibility of making the arrangement in such a way that the guarantee sleeve has a double fold on one side or on both sides and is thus reinforced.

The sealing strip can be a paper strip provided with advertising imprints, which is glued to the edges of the base and the lid and does not adhere in the area of the viewing window. The sealing strip is preferably provided with a tear perforation. In the case of outer packaging for a small packaging unit consisting of a few cigarette boxes, a single sealing strip is sufficient.
