Definitions
- the invention relates to a self-loading rifle, with a self-loading system set up for firing normal-caliber rifle cartridges, preferably an assault rifle system to which a corresponding normal-caliber rifle barrel and a sighting device are assigned, and with a second barrel set up for a larger caliber, according to the preamble of the claim 1.
- Combined weapons in which several barrels for each different caliber are arranged as a barrel barrel, have long established themselves as hunting rifles because they offer the hunter the possibility to use the appropriate cartridge for different game.
- these rifles are also unwieldy; the grenade launcher barrel must be considerably shorter than the existing rifle barrel; reloading the grenade launcher is cumbersome.
- the object of the invention is to avoid the disadvantages inherent in these known solutions and to create a firearm which is set up for firing the large-caliber rifle cartridges mentioned, but which gives the shooter greater possibilities of self-defense than has hitherto been the case was.
- This object is achieved by a combined rifle of the type mentioned, in which the second barrel with a larger caliber is designed as a large-caliber rifle barrel, and both rifle barrels each have a position of use with which the corresponding rifle barrel can be fired, and a rest position in which this barrel barrel cannot be used.
- both barrels are kept on the weapon, each barrel having a rest position in which it is placed while the other barrel is in the position of use.
- both barrels next to each other, for example in the manner of a turner when one barrel is moved into its position of use, the other barrel automatically comes to its rest position.
- both barrels are arranged essentially coaxially and are connected to one another at the ends, and when one barrel assumes the position of use, the other barrel rests in the shoulder rest or forms it.
- the two runs are connected to form a structurally independent running group, their mutually facing position ends being at a distance from one another which corresponds at least to the return path of a closure set up for both runs.
- the length of the closure is included in this return path.
- the barrel assembly can be removed from the main part of the weapon and can be inserted back into the weapon in the opposite direction.
- a particular advantage of this design is that a single lock can be used for each of the barrels.
- This breech can remain on the main part of the weapon while the barrel assembly is removed and turned over.
- the closure is assigned to the main group and thus has a closure head on each of its two ends, which is structurally and functionally adapted to the respective barrel.
- the trigger device has only a single tap and remains on the main part of the weapon.
- a gas cylinder is provided which is connected to a gas extraction bore in normal operation and acts on the normal-caliber locking head to lock it.
- the closure is supported in the corresponding direction by a closing spring on the running group.
- the unlocking of the large-caliber breech head takes place according to claim 6 preferably by means of a handle, which can also be designed to move the closure.
- the breech thus acts together with the large-caliber barrel as a manually operated cylinder breech or repeater breech, which is advantageous in view of the high recoil of the large-caliber cartridges, since a corresponding multi-loading mechanism, which would be set up to accommodate correspondingly high recoil forces, would be complex and difficult.
- the self-loading rifle according to the invention has a magazine shaft, which is set up to accommodate both a normal cartridge magazine and a large-caliber cartridge magazine.
- any cartridge that can be used for assault rifles can be used as a normal cartridge, for example the .308 Winchester cartridge or the 7.62 mm Kalaschnikov.
- the cartridge .223 or a similar, possibly also smaller cartridge for example 5.45 mm Kalaschnikov or 4.6 x 36 mm, is used as the normal-caliber rifle cartridge because of its overall small diameter and the lighter weight of barrel and system prefers.
- the large-caliber rifle barrel is preferably set up for a cartridge with a caliber of the order of 20 to 25 mm.
- Rod barrel is understood here to mean a barrel which is set up for firing a bullet in a directionally stable manner and not, for example, a shotgun sheath, the large-caliber rifle barrel preferably also being able to withstand higher gas pressures than usually occur with shotgun cartridges.
- the large-caliber rifle barrel preferably has helical trains and fields in its bore; the invention also includes barrels with a smooth bore or with axially parallel straight trains.
- a distance measuring device can be provided according to claim 10, preferably a laser range finder, since the relatively strongly curved trajectory of the large-caliber projectiles, which are also effective at a relatively long distance, makes a precise distance determination expedient.
- This distance measuring device can be adapted automatically to the respective barrel in the position of use, in that a sensor emits a signal that is representative of the type of barrel in the position of use.
- This position of use is to be assigned a signal transmitter which is suitably responsive to the respective run.
- a preferably used optical sighting device is set so that it automatically takes into account the determined distance and the rifle barrel in the position of use and indicates a suitable, single and binding stopping point.
- the self-loading rifle shown has a housing with a hand guard 1 and a shoulder rest 15.
- a trigger device 11 with a trigger 12 is attached to the housing.
- a magazine shaft is arranged, which is designed to accommodate a slightly curved rod magazine 8 for normal cartridges or a larger, likewise slightly curved rod magazine 7 (dashed outline) for large-caliber cartridges.
- a sighting device 10 is attached to the top of the housing.
- a barrel assembly is inserted into the housing and is shown in FIG. 3.
- This barrel assembly consists of an elongated breech guide part with a central axis, at one end of which a normal-caliber barrel 2 is fastened coaxially by means of a union nut, and at the other end of which a large-caliber barrel 3 is fastened coaxially.
- the two barrels 2 and 3 face each other with their respective bearings.
- a breech 4 is movably mounted in the axial direction, which has a large-caliber breech head 6 at its end facing the large-caliber barrel 3 and a normal-caliber breech head 5 at its end facing the normal-caliber barrel 2.
- the closure 4 is pressed against the bearing side of the normal-caliber barrel 2 by a spring 13.
- the normal-caliber barrel 2 has, in a manner known per se, a gas extraction bore which is connected to a gas cylinder 9.
- a cranked, axially parallel Actuating rod 14 forms a gas piston with its one end, which is seated in the gas cylinder 9, and is displaceably seated with its other end in the closure guide part, where it acts on the normal-caliber closure head 5 in a manner known per se, so that this, when in the gas cylinder 9 A sufficient gas pressure is generated by the firing of a normal cartridge, the normal-caliber breech head 5 is unlocked and the breech 4 performs an opening movement against the force of the spring 13 in the direction of the large-caliber barrel 3.
- the large-caliber locking head 6 has a handle, not shown, by means of which it can be locked or unlocked in the bearing end of the large-caliber barrel 3. Furthermore, with this handle, the closure 4 is movable in the direction of the large-caliber barrel 3.
- a continuous firing pin is mounted in the closure 4.
- the normal-caliber barrel 2 is in the position of use, while the large-caliber barrel 3 is accommodated within the shoulder rest 15 is.
- the side of the closure 4 facing the magazine shaft is designed to match the two magazines 7, 8 in such a way that only the normal-caliber magazine 8 can be inserted into the magazine shaft to such an extent that it locks into place.
- the large-caliber magazine 7, on the other hand, has designs which prevent it from being fully inserted into the magazine shaft when the barrel assembly is in the position shown in FIGS. 1 and 2.
- a signal transmitter is actuated, which is connected to the sighting device 10 and switches this to the operating mode suitable for the normal-caliber run 2.
- the firing pin protrudes a little from its rear, in this case from the large-caliber breech head 6, so that it follows the trigger 11 from the hammer or cock can be driven in front to ignite the normal cartridge.
- a gas-assisted self-charging process now takes place in a manner known per se.
- the handle 11 can be equipped with a switching device that allows the delivery of single fire, limited burst of fire and / or continuous fire.
- the barrel assembly is removed from the main part of the weapon and turned over so that it assumes the position shown in FIG. 3 relative to the weapon shown in FIG. 1 and becomes again inserted into the main part of the weapon.
- the large-caliber barrel 3 now faces forward. However, this insertion is only possible if the normal-caliber magazine 8 was previously removed from the magazine shaft.
- the large-caliber magazine 7 can now be inserted into it and locked there, which is not possible with the normal cartridge magazine 8.
- the signal transmitter assigned to the barrel group switches the sighting device 10 to an operating mode suitable for the large-caliber barrel 3.
- the breech 4 is pushed forward against the force of the spring 13, that is, against the cartridge chamber of the large-caliber barrel 3.
- the above-mentioned handle is used to Large-caliber locking head 6 locked.
- the barrel 2, 3, which is in the rest position in the shoulder rest 15, is supported on a receptacle of the butt plate and serves as the part introducing the recoil forces into the shoulder of the shooter.
- the shoulder rest 15 can thus be made very light, since its required strength is ensured solely by the barrel 2, 3 seated in it.
- the self-loading rifle shown therefore differs only slightly in weight from a conventional assault rifle.
- the .223 cartridge is intended as the normal cartridge and a cartridge with a caliber of 20 to 25 mm as the large-caliber cartridge.
Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a self-loading rifle, with a self-loading system set up for firing normal-caliber rifle cartridges, preferably an assault rifle system to which a corresponding normal-caliber rifle barrel and a sighting device are assigned, and with a second barrel set up for a larger caliber, according to the preamble of the claim 1.
Combined weapons, in which several barrels for each different caliber are arranged as a barrel barrel, have long established themselves as hunting rifles because they offer the hunter the possibility to use the appropriate cartridge for different game.
However, no multi-loading devices are assigned to the barrels of such rifles.
For this reason, attempts have often been made to assign another barrel, for example a shotgun cartridge, to a multi-loader set up for a rifle cartridge. Such weapons are unwieldy, cumbersome to operate and expensive, so that they have not prevailed and only occasionally among collectors are to be found. The probably only weapon principle of this kind, which has become more widespread, consists in the arrangement of a grenade launcher barrel on a serial assault rifle (DE-32 02 806-C2). The assault rifle remains unrestricted in its use; however, a short grenade launcher barrel is usually attached in front of the forearm, which is provided with its own breech and its own trigger device. A special sighting device for the grenade launcher barrel is also attached next to the usual sighting device of the assault rifle.
In principle, these rifles are also unwieldy; the grenade launcher barrel must be considerably shorter than the existing rifle barrel; reloading the grenade launcher is cumbersome.
If one also assumes that the position of the normal-caliber rifle barrel for the assault rifle is arranged so that the recoil is introduced into the shoulder of the shooter in a particularly favorable manner, then it becomes apparent that the recoil assigned to the grenade launcher barrel is particularly unfavorable in the Shoulder of the shooter must be initiated because the distance between the normal-caliber rifle barrel and the grenade launcher barrel is particularly large. In addition to the high weight and the uncomfortable handling, this is the main reason that such a known, combined rifle, as was also mentioned at the beginning, is unpopular with soldiers and is therefore used only reluctantly.
In addition, it is known to provide a handgun with an additional barrel, which is interchangeable with the existing barrel (DE-93 17 310.5-U1). However, the exchange run must be kept separately from the weapon and carried where necessary.
In the meantime, large-caliber rifle cartridges have been developed that fire so-called "intelligent ammunition", i.e. an ammunition which, if necessary in cooperation with a control system attached to the weapon itself, increases the effect on the target considerably by the ammunition responding independently to a target. It is also possible to equip such large-caliber rifle cartridges with explosive projectiles, which naturally have a high effect on the target.
Based on this problem, the object of the invention is to avoid the disadvantages inherent in these known solutions and to create a firearm which is set up for firing the large-caliber rifle cartridges mentioned, but which gives the shooter greater possibilities of self-defense than has hitherto been the case was.
This object is achieved by a combined rifle of the type mentioned, in which the second barrel with a larger caliber is designed as a large-caliber rifle barrel, and both rifle barrels each have a position of use with which the corresponding rifle barrel can be fired, and a rest position in which this barrel barrel cannot be used.
It is fundamentally possible to leave one barrel in the weapon and to carry the second barrel separately so that, if necessary, it can be exchanged for the barrel on the weapon.
According to
It is also fundamentally possible to arrange both barrels next to each other, for example in the manner of a turner when one barrel is moved into its position of use, the other barrel automatically comes to its rest position.
According to
In this case, the two runs are connected to form a structurally independent running group, their mutually facing position ends being at a distance from one another which corresponds at least to the return path of a closure set up for both runs. The length of the closure is included in this return path.
The barrel assembly can be removed from the main part of the weapon and can be inserted back into the weapon in the opposite direction.
As a result, a structurally particularly simple configuration is achieved, which can completely dispense with complicated barrel replacement mechanisms, such as swivel connections and the like. With only one system housing, a single breech and in each case only a single magazine, a self-loading rifle or repeating rifle was created which is capable of firing two completely different cartridges; such a weapon is hardly heavier than a conventional assault rifle.
Removing the barrel assembly from the main body of the weapon, turning the barrel assembly over and reinserting it only requires releasing a simple release, which automatically snaps back when the barrel assembly is inserted and keeps this barrel assembly firmly connected to the main body of the weapon.
A particular advantage of this design is that a single lock can be used for each of the barrels.
This breech can remain on the main part of the weapon while the barrel assembly is removed and turned over.
According to a further embodiment of the invention (claim 4), however, the closure is assigned to the main group and thus has a closure head on each of its two ends, which is structurally and functionally adapted to the respective barrel.
The trigger device has only a single tap and remains on the main part of the weapon.
According to
The unlocking of the large-caliber breech head, however, takes place according to claim 6 preferably by means of a handle, which can also be designed to move the closure. The breech thus acts together with the large-caliber barrel as a manually operated cylinder breech or repeater breech, which is advantageous in view of the high recoil of the large-caliber cartridges, since a corresponding multi-loading mechanism, which would be set up to accommodate correspondingly high recoil forces, would be complex and difficult.
According to
Corresponding projections, stops or the like can ensure that the barrel group cannot be used with the normal-caliber barrel in the position of use in the main part of the weapon as long as there is a large-caliber magazine in the magazine slot, and vice versa.
Likewise, a magazine that does not match the barrel in the position of use cannot be inserted into the magazine shaft to such an extent that it locks into it. This prevents accidental use of the rifle with the wrong magazine.
In principle, any cartridge that can be used for assault rifles can be used as a normal cartridge, for example the .308 Winchester cartridge or the 7.62 mm Kalaschnikov.
According to claim 8, however, the cartridge .223 or a similar, possibly also smaller cartridge, for example 5.45 mm Kalaschnikov or 4.6 x 36 mm, is used as the normal-caliber rifle cartridge because of its overall small diameter and the lighter weight of barrel and system prefers.
The large-caliber rifle barrel is preferably set up for a cartridge with a caliber of the order of 20 to 25 mm.
Unter "Büchsenlauf" wird hier ein Lauf verstanden, der zum richtungsstabilen Verschießen eines Geschoßes und nicht etwa einer Schrotgarbe eingerichtet ist, wobei der Großkaliber-Büchsenlauf bevorzugt auch höheren Gasdrücken standhalten soll, als sie bei Schrotpatronen üblicherweise auftreten.“Rifle barrel” is understood here to mean a barrel which is set up for firing a bullet in a directionally stable manner and not, for example, a shotgun sheath, the large-caliber rifle barrel preferably also being able to withstand higher gas pressures than usually occur with shotgun cartridges.
The large-caliber rifle barrel preferably has helical trains and fields in its bore; the invention also includes barrels with a smooth bore or with axially parallel straight trains.
According to a preferred embodiment of the invention (claim 9), only a single sighting device is provided, which is attached to the weapon housing.
In addition, a distance measuring device can be provided according to
This distance measuring device can be adapted automatically to the respective barrel in the position of use, in that a sensor emits a signal that is representative of the type of barrel in the position of use. This position of use is to be assigned a signal transmitter which is suitably responsive to the respective run. Here, a preferably used optical sighting device is set so that it automatically takes into account the determined distance and the rifle barrel in the position of use and indicates a suitable, single and binding stopping point.

The large-
Im Verschluß 4 ist ein durchgehender Schlagbolzen gelagert.A continuous firing pin is mounted in the
If the barrel group shown in FIG. 3 is inserted into the main part of the weapon, as can be seen in FIGS. 1 and 2, then the normal-
At the same time, a signal transmitter is actuated, which is connected to the
When the
If the tactical position now requires the use of large-caliber cartridges, the barrel assembly is removed from the main part of the weapon and turned over so that it assumes the position shown in FIG. 3 relative to the weapon shown in FIG. 1 and becomes again inserted into the main part of the weapon. The large-
If the large-
Now the normal-
To remove the shot cartridge or to unload it, it is sufficient to unlock the
The
The .223 cartridge is intended as the normal cartridge and a cartridge with a caliber of 20 to 25 mm as the large-caliber cartridge.
