- Method of restarting a new operation of heating an item of food at the end of cooking following a first heating operation, said item of food being placed inside a chamber (1) of a cooking appliance which is accessible through a door (6) and which has at least one browning device with a heating element (2), a microwave energy device (3), a power supply circuit (4) for the browning device with the heating element (2) and the microwave energy device (3), a control panel (7) which includes means (8) for selecting at least predefined items of food, means (9) for inputting information on a set time T for a heating operation, means (10) for displaying at least the set time T and control means (11) for triggering the performance of a heating operation; the supply circuit (4), the selection means (8), the information input means (9), the display means (10) and the control means (11) being connected to information processing means (12) which, on the one hand, determine the different cooking phases of the heating operation to be applied to the item of food and on the other hand transmit, by means of the display means (10), messages to the user concerning said heating operation,
characterised in that, a message on the end of the first heating operation being transmitted to the user, the user selects a new set time t1 by means of the information input means (9) and triggers the control means (11) connected to the information processing means (12) which, on the one hand, automatically repeat the first heating operation stored in the information processing means (12) and on the other hand activate only the last cooking phase of the first heating operation, this last cooking limits the energy power level applied to said item of food. - Method of restarting a new operation of heating an item of food applied to a chamber (1) whose door has opening and closing controlled by locking means connected to the information processing means (12) according to claim 1,
