Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a method for producing an air mattress with the features specified in the preamble of claim 1.
An air mattress with these features is e.g. through the WO 94/03089 became known. In the known air mattress by opening the inlet opening through this opening air into the interior of the pumping part. When air is admitted, this takes Pump section accommodated propellant volume until the pump section is somewhat filled with air. Now e.g. through the foot of the User of the pump part compressed. with the foot opening closes. Air now enters through the one-way exhaust valve the part to be inflated. This pumping process is repeated long until the part to be inflated a little more than in the end result is inflated. Then the pumping stops and the inlet opening is closed, then part of the air overflows the small opening in the pump section back into that of the pump section and the closed system of the part to be inflated there is the same pressure. The mattress is now ready for use. To the When the air mattress is emptied, the outlet opening is opened. By The air is then rolled up from the pump section removed both from the pump part and from the part to be inflated, by exiting through the outlet opening. As a propellant to understand a compressible material that is exposed to air Volume increases. Such a material is e.g. open-cell synthetic foam material.
About the manufacture of the mattress, especially about the welding the wall separating the pumping part from the part to be inflated is in the nothing mentioned.
The invention has for its object the manufacture of the mattress, especially the welding of the pump part wall, in a particularly economical way Way to enable.
The solution to this problem is with those specified in claim 1 Characteristics achieved.
By inserting a metallic tool between the Sheets of the high-frequency welding machine is made sure that outside this tool a current flow takes place which is a heating and thus welding the inserted between a plate and the tool thermoplastic films. After welding the The pump part wall, the tool is removed and only afterwards the edges of the cover skins joined together.
Advantageous embodiments of the method described in claim 1 are the subject of the subclaims.
It is particularly important that when placing the pump part inside the air mattress is a frame-shaped film in plan view and an approximately frame-shaped tool can also be used. In in this case the tool must be divisible, otherwise it will not be removed could be.
An indivisible tool can be used if the Pump part is arranged in a corner of the air mattress.

- Method according to one of claims 11 to 17, characterised in that a portion of the wall (20), which separates the pump section (18) from the inflatable section, is internally connected to a tensioning lug (30), the other end of which is secured in the edge of the air mattress.
- Method according to claim 18, characterised in that the tensioning lug (30) is connected to the wall (20) via the welded seam (20a), which interconnects the film strips forming the wall (20), and in that the tensioning lug (30) is connected to the edge of the air mattress via the welded seam (19), which interconnects the coverings (17a, 17b).
