Description
The invention relates to a switching device. electric vehicle safety and in particular a safety circuit breaker switch for vehicle.
We know that the opening of the electrical circuit of motor vehicles by a key control device contact is sometimes insufficient, especially in the event of and that it is necessary to act further upstream, at closer to the source, the vehicle battery in the unplugging, to avoid any possible spread of arcing electric and fire on the electric cables between the vehicle ignition key device.
The invention aims to remedy this drawback and offers an electrical safety switch device for vehicle, characterized in that it is formed jointly or fixed on a battery terminal of the vehicle, and includes an electrically conductive sleeve attached to said terminal, and an electrically conductive rod element slidably mounted in said sleeve and at the end of which the electric vehicle power cable is fixed, said sleeve being provided with a first portion of bore larger diameter on its anterior portion, receiving a part of additional insulating claw, attached to the sliding rod element and now the element in position, and a second posterior bore portion of smaller diameter, coaxial with the first, in which is guided at low clearance the sliding rod element, this second portion of bore being further provided with a contact socket pinched against the surface of the sliding rod member, which has at least one annular portion of electrical insulating tape, so that when the sliding rod element is operated at a position where the insulating strip is in contact with the contact socket and the second bore portion of the sleeve, the electrical circuit from the sleeve to the element rod and therefore the terminal to the electric cable is interrupted, and closed otherwise.
The claw portion and the insulating tape are advantageously formed in a single insulating part electric, cylindrical, molded from material synthetic plastic and attached to the rod element sliding at its front, opposite its end connection to the power supply cable.
The length of the insulating strip is naturally at less equal to that of the second part of the bore muff.
Naturally, the retention of the rod element is secured by means of the gripping part acting as a pinch against the large diameter bore of the sleeve. Nevertheless, the locking is preferably achieved by providing two circular grooves in the larger diameter bore of the sleeve, which receive the claw portion complementary projecting from the sliding rod element and correspond to the two connected switch positions and disconnected, respectively.
The sliding rod element can be connected to a means drive motor, by rod or cable recalled by spring, controlled from the dashboard or other element of the vehicle and acting in the connected position.
In addition, to limit the size of the switch, the sleeve is preferably located in the plane of the terminal or the battery.
- FIG. 1 is a sectional view of a battery switch device according to the invention in the connected position and
- Figure 2 is a view similar to the previous in the disconnected position.
As shown in the drawing, the device
switch according to the invention is formed integrally to a
classic battery terminal 1, on the stud of which
must be mounted, preferably the negative stud. It comprises
a
contre l'alésage 9.The sliding element has at its front part a
deformable
The
The operation of the switch is very simple. he
just tighten the side lug 1 on the battery stud
selected then push the
In the event of an accident or fire or if you wish to upgrade
in electric vehicle safety, just pull
manually on cable 7 opposite the sleeve to
move the sliding element to the position
