Abstract

The method involves determining the max. shunting rate for each vehicle of the assembled train, with the lowest max. shunting rate used for subsequent shunting. As each vehicle or vehicle group is unhitched, the max. shunting rate for each of the remaining vehicles is determined. This allows the applicable max. shunting rate for the remaining part of the train to be updated.
