Description

The invention relates to a device for applying a Working width of evenly thin, laminar flowing liquid film large Width on a continuously advanced web with a liquid storage space, which on the one hand is directed upwards at an angle to the horizontal and over the working width extending baffle is limited in the direction of flow an overflow weir as well as a liquid adjoining the overflow weir Guiding surface follows, from the bottom of which the overflowed liquid film runs on the web, and on the other hand at a distance from the storage wall above it is delimited by a backwater wall, the liquid storage space a liquid inlet area at the end opposite the overflow weir has, which is formed by a plurality of liquid inlet openings, the with several liquid supply hoses fed by a pump are connected.

A device of this type is known from DE 35 22 320 A1. she draws through an even application of liquid to the leading web out.

A paint applicator is generally built for a certain working width. In practice, however, the incoming textile webs vary in width, possibly even short term. It is up to the machine manufacturers to make dyeing devices to deliver, with which even different working widths in short succession can be driven. In practice it has been shown that the limitation the working width in the area of the liquid discharge on the guide surface of the paint applicator cannot be solved satisfactorily. This is especially true with regard to the uniformity of the applied amount of paint in Edge area of the textile goods.

The invention is based on the object of an application device initially mentioned Art to develop in such a way that it is possible with her in a simple manner is made to reduce the constructive maximum working width in the short term or later enlarge again without the quality of the uniformity of the Fluid application subsides.

To solve the problem it is provided according to the invention that the im Area of the overflow weir over the entire working width of the overall device extending liquid storage space through a in the gap of the Liquid storage space from the overflow weir to the liquid inflow area extending boundary wall is limited in its width. It is Of course, advantageous if a large number of such boundary walls limit the liquid storage space several times in its working width and advantageously also only one of the liquid inflow openings in each of the partial liquid storage spaces assigned. By controlling the one for the desired one Working width only necessary inflow openings can be the working width of the application device in the area of the liquid storage space and consequently also the resulting discharge area of the liquid over the unchanged unlimited guiding surface can be determined.

From the initially mentioned DE 35 22 320 A1, it is also known the liquid storage space in its cross section towards the overflow weir slowly in volume to expand. For this purpose, the backwater wall opposite the backwater wall is around arranged about 10 ° steeper. Due to the widening towards the overflow weir Liquid storage space is achieved to form a laminar flowing Liquid film necessary to calm down the liquid inflow flow to the overflow weir. The increasing volume increase causes the vertebrae to be evened out.

Such a conical volume increase is also intended for the device with the Boundary walls can be achieved according to the invention. In development this device is therefore provided that the stowage and the backwater wall run parallel to each other and then the conicity of the liquid storage space due to the additional boundary wall that partially fills the liquid storage space is produced, the flanks of which extend from the respective liquid inflow opening extend conically towards the overflow weir. With one device A lot has been achieved in this way, it is structurally simple to manufacture, it makes it possible the exact setting of each desired working width and guaranteed by increasing the volume of the liquid storage space in front of the overflow weir unchanged even application of liquid over any desired working width.

This basic construction can be completed by several ideas. They are to be explained in more detail using the description of the figures. In the drawing, a device of the type according to the invention is shown as an example. Show it:

The liquid application device according to FIG. 1 consists of an angular one Bar 1, the 90 ° overflow weir 2 aligned upwards is. That is a tavern running diagonally upwards to the overflow weir 2 the baffle 3 to which the guide surface is located after the overflow weir 2 rounded here 4 connects. The surface to be applied flows evenly over this guide surface Liquid film that runs off from the lower edge 5 of the guide surface 4 flows onto the web 7 guided over a roller 6.

On the side opposite the storage wall 3 of the beam 1 there is a solid one Body 8, the liquid distribution wall, liquid-tight, which in the the area assigned to the overflow weir 2 has a liquid storage space 9. According to FIG. 1, this liquid storage space 9 is initially limited by the stowage wall 3 and the parallel backflow wall arranged at a distance above it 10. The liquid storage space 9 thus formed is in the body 8 3 incorporated. The upper end of the liquid storage space 9 protrudes together with the body 8 over the plane of the guide surface 4 for the better Influencing the flowing liquid film. On the overflow weir 2 opposite end of the liquid storage space 9 is the liquid inlet area 11 arranged. It consists of a multitude of across the body 8 extending bores 12, which are then at the lower end of the liquid reservoir 9 have the liquid inflow openings 13. The openings are funnel-shaped.

At the opposite, upper end of the bores 12 is a liquid distribution device 14 arranged as described in DE 40 26 198 A1. It consists in the fact that the inflowing liquid from an inflow line 15 is gradually divided into the individual holes 12. It can only be two steps, that of a z. B. with a hose, not shown equipped inflow line 15 over two of the same length, extending to the right and left Branch lines only two holes 12 supplied with the liquid become. The liquid distribution device 14 is through a lid 16 which with the Body 8 is firmly connected by the screws 17, closed liquid-tight.

The construction of the liquid storage spaces 9 is shown in FIGS. 2 and 4. First of all, it should be noted that the liquid storage space 9 is not constant extends over the entire working width of the device. To the one you want To be able to choose the working width of the application device is Liquid storage space 9 in the area of the overflow weir 2 is not interrupted, however immediately before (seen in the direction of flow of the liquid). Extend from there up to the liquid inlet area 11, boundary walls 19 which separate neighboring liquid storage spaces 9 from each other.

It has already been described that the accumulation wall 3 and the backflow wall 10 are parallel to one another run. By a conically widening towards the overflow weir 2 To obtain storage space 9, the flanks 18 of the boundary walls 19 of the liquid inlet opening 12 directed obliquely outwards. So that results a conically widening liquid storage space 9, although the jam-3 and backflow wall 10 run parallel to one another.

From Fig. 4 it can be seen that each of the many liquid flow openings 12 a conically expanding liquid storage space 9 towards the overflow weir 2 extends. The neighboring one another through the closing boundary wall 19 separate liquid storage rooms 9 run at most directly before the overflow weir. The boundary walls are even better 19 form slightly longer than the plane of the guide surface 4 or Edge of the overflow weir 2. This causes a clear separation of the individual Liquid flows in the liquid storage spaces 9. The flanks 18 of the Adjacent liquid storage spaces 9 run sharply in the area of the Overflow weir towards each other and end at the edge or - as I said - beyond the overflow weir. The flanks 18 can, as shown, be straight but also parabolic (not shown) curved.
