Abstract

The invention concerns a sinker assembly in which the sinker (1) is designed to hold modules each with a body (21; 31; 38) having two parallel faces and carrying a number of tufting, knitting or Raschel tools. The invention calls for a plane covering surface (3) in the sinker (1) and a plane stop surface (5) running perpendicular to it to define a space extending along the entire length of the sinker (1). Bolted to the sinker (1) is a clamping strip (8) whose inside surface (9) is parallel to the stop surface (5). Located in the clamping strip (8) are openings through which bolts can be passed. Running along the entire length of the stop surface (5) is a guide groove (6). Each module body (21; 31; 38) is clamped to an adapter (13) at least on the side facing the stop surface (5). The width of the assembly comprising the module body (21; 31; 38), the adapter (13) and an optional thrust pad (15) is matched to the distance between the stop surface (5) and the inside surface (9) of the clamping strip (8). Each bolt (11) has a dog point (26) which engages in and is guided by the guide groove (6). The head of each bolt (11) is countersunk in a bore in the module body (21; 31; 38) or thrust pad (15). The sinker proposed facilitates the equipping or retrofitting of such assemblies and simplifies the replacement of defective tools.

Description

The invention relates to a bar arrangement with a bar for holding gauge parts (modules) of tufting and knitting machines consisting of module bodies and tools held therein, with a receiving space extending over the entire length of the bar.

It is known to use a number of tufting, knitting or rustling tools, e.g. Needles or grippers, first placed precisely in a module body and then the modules consisting of the tools and the module body on a bar, e.g. a needle bar of a tufting machine.

Patent 44 83 261 shows e.g. such a bar, in which the modules are immersed in a receiving space extending over the entire length of the bar.

Such a bar usually has a length of several meters and requires the attachment and, if necessary, replacement of a large number of the modules described above. Consequently, it takes a lot of time to equip or convert such a bar.

The object of the present invention is now to provide a bar arrangement with which the fitting or retrofitting is simplified, accelerated without reducing the precision of the assembly and, moreover, an exchange of individual modules is made possible in a simple manner.

This object is achieved according to the invention in a bar arrangement of the type mentioned at the outset in that the receiving space in the bar is covered by a flat ceiling surface and a normal flat stop surface is limited,
that a clamping bar is screwed to the bar, the inner surface of which runs parallel to the stop surface,
that through openings for clamping screws are provided in the tensioning bar, that a guide groove running over their entire length is provided in the stop surface of the bar, that each by means of at least one clamping screw

Modul körper mindestens auf der der Anschlagfläche zugewandten Seite an ein Paßstück angeklemmt ist, daß die Breite des Verbundes aus Modul körper, Paßstück und gegebenenfalls zusätzlichem Druckstück dem Abstand zwischen der Anschlagfläche und der Innenfläche der Spannleiste angepaßt ist, daß jede Klemmschraube einen in die Führungsnut geführt eingreifenden Führungszapfen hat und daß der Kopf jeder Klemmschraube in der Bohrung eines Modul körpers oder eines Druckstücks versenkt angeordnet ist..Module body is clamped to a fitting at least on the side facing the stop surface, that the width of the assembly of module body, fitting and possibly additional pressure piece is adapted to the distance between the stop surface and the inner surface of the clamping bar, that each clamping screw leads one into the guide groove engaging guide pin and that the head of each clamping screw is sunk in the bore of a module body or a pressure piece ..

The modules can be combined outside of the bar with a fitting piece and, if necessary, with an additional pressure piece to form a composite. These composites can then be quickly and easily threaded into the intermediate space of the bar arrangement and fixed there by tightening the tensioning bar. By loosening the clamping bar and loosening the clamping screws, individual modules can be exchanged, in particular to replace broken tools.

The bar arrangement according to the invention can be designed such that each module body is clamped between a fitting piece and a pressure piece by means of at least one clamping screw. The head of the clamping screws should not be countersunk in the module body, but in a pressure piece.

The bar arrangement according to the invention can also be designed such that the module body protrudes beyond the adapter from the bar arrangement and that a stop shoulder of the module body strikes against a dimensioned surface of the adapter. Through the interaction of the stop shoulder of the module body and the dimensional surface of the adapter, the entry depth of the module and thus that of the tools located therein is precisely defined.

The bar arrangement according to the invention can be designed so that the width of the composite of module body, adapter and possibly pressure piece is up to 1/10 mm larger than the minimum distance between the stop surface and the inner surface of the clamping bar. In this way, a secure clamping of the composites in the space between the bar arrangement is ensured.

The bar arrangement according to the invention can also be designed such that pressure screws are screwed into the clamping bar, which are each effective against a pressure piece of a composite or against a module body. In this way, the composites are reliably fixed or released individually by actuating the pressure screws.

The bar arrangement according to the invention can also be designed such that the bar has an L-profile rotated by 180 °, a first leg of this profile forming the ceiling surface and being screwed to the tensioning strip, while the second leg forms the stop surface.

The bar arrangement according to the invention can also be designed such that several modules are assigned to one adapter.

The bar arrangement according to the invention can also be designed such that each module body has at least one opening for the passage of a clamping screw.

The bar arrangement according to the invention can also be designed such that the opening in the module body is designed as an elongated hole that is open at one end. This training can be useful when replacing individual modules.

A first leg 2 of this profile has a top surface 3. A second leg 4 has a flat stop surface 5 which extends normal to the top surface 3. The stop surface 5 is provided with a continuous guide groove 6 over its length.

A clamping bar 8 is screwed to the first leg 2 of the bar 1 by means of screws 7. The clamping bar 8 can extend over the entire length of the bar 1 or can be divided into several sections. It has a flat inner surface 9 which is directed parallel to the stop surface 5. Push-through openings 10 for clamping screws 11 are provided in the clamping strip 8.

The ceiling surface 3 forms a receiving space 12 with the stop surface 5, which is additionally limited by the inner surface 9 of the clamping bar 8.

In the receiving space 12, when the ingot arrangement is mounted, there are composites lined up in the longitudinal direction, which each comprise a fitting piece 13, a needle module 14 and a pressure piece 15 in the exemplary embodiment, these elements being held together by clamping screws 11.

Each adapter 13 has two mutually parallel sides 16, 17 and an outer dimension surface 18. The side 16 of adapter 13 lies against the stop surface 5 of the bar 1. The adapter 13 also has a head surface 19 which comes to rest on the ceiling surface 3. In the fitting 13, a threaded bore 20 is provided for a clamping screw 11.

The needle module 14 has a module body 21, in which precisely aligned needles 22 are positioned. The module body 21 has an opening 23 through which a clamping screw 11 can be inserted.

On the module body 21, a stop shoulder 24 is provided, which comes to rest on the measuring surface 18 of the adapter 13. The pressure piece 15 has two parallel sides, one of which abuts on the module body 21 and the other on the inner surface 9 of the clamping bar 8. In the fitting 13, a threaded bore 25 for a clamping screw 11 is provided.

Jede Klemmschraube 11 hat an ihrem vorderen Ende einen Führungszapfen 26.Each clamping screw 11 has a guide pin 26 at its front end.

Dieser Längenunterschied liegt im Bereich von weniger als 1/10 mm.In this exemplary embodiment, at least one clamping screw 11 connects a fitting piece 13, a needle module 14 and a pressure piece 15 to form a composite whose width measured in the direction of the axis of the clamping screw 11 is slightly larger than the length of the ceiling surface 3 measured in the same direction. This difference in length is in the range of less than 1/10 mm.

The clamping screw 11 has a countersunk head 27, which is arranged sunk in the threaded bore 25 of the pressure piece 15.

The composites are assembled outside the ingot arrangement and then inserted into the receiving space 12 from one end of the ingot arrangement, the guide pins 26 of the composites being guided in the guide groove 6. In the thus inserted state of the composites, the needle modules 14 abut one another directly and the heads 27 of the clamping screws 11 are located behind the push-through openings 10 of the clamping strip 8. The end of the receiving space 12 is closed after insertion of the composites by means of end pieces (not shown).

If a needle 22 is broken and the associated needle module 14 must consequently be replaced, the associated clamping screw 11 is unscrewed through the push-through opening 10 to such an extent that the composite is loosened and the needle module 14 can be removed and replaced by another.

The exemplary embodiment shown in FIG. 3 shows a bar 1 with a ceiling surface 3 and a stop surface 5. As previously described, a bar 8 is connected to the bar 1 by means of screws 7. A receiving space 12 is thus formed.

Composites of a fitting piece 13 and a gripper module 30 are introduced into this receiving space 12, as was previously described for a needle module. It works without pressure pieces. The head of the clamping screw 11 used is countersunk in the module body 31 of the gripper module.

The gripper module 30 has two stop shoulders 32, 33, which come to rest on a dimension surface 34 of the adapter 13 and on the clamping bar 8. Incidentally, modules are introduced and replaced in the manner already described.

The bar arrangement according to FIG. 4 largely corresponds to that according to FIG. 1. Deviating from this, however, a pressure screw 36 is provided in the threaded strip 35 in a threaded bore 35 at least for each assembly, so that the clamping can be set and released separately for each assembly. In a further deviation from the embodiment according to FIG. 1, an elongated hole 39 open at one end is provided in the module body 38 of a module 37 for receiving a clamping screw 11, so that the removal or insertion of a module 37 is possible without the clamping screw 11 from the Pull out module 37. The module 37 has two stop shoulders 40 so that it can function in the same way in the two positions rotated by 180 ° with respect to one another. This saves rotating movements and speeds up assembly.

The bar arrangement can be used with various types of modules. It is possible to use modules that carry tools arranged in multiple rows. It is also possible to use several rows of modules adjacent to each other, that is, with tools (22) arranged in several rows, e.g. B. tufting needles to work.
