Definitions
- the invention relates to a method for identifying and checking the delivery and return delivery of press products such as books, magazines, newspapers and the like. Like., between publishers and wholesalers on the one hand and between wholesalers and dealers on the other hand, the delivery and return delivery from the starting point (publisher or wholesaler) to the destination (wholesaler or dealer) takes place by means of transport vehicles.
- the invention further relates to devices for performing the method.
- press wholesaler A peculiarity of the industry concerned with the distribution of press products, the so-called press wholesaler, is that it is the only branch of industry that on the one hand grants a full right of remission and on the other hand has considerable freedom of disposition.
- the wholesaler determines what new goods each dealer receives, debits them and issues a credit for the returned copies.
- the press wholesalers therefore not only supply thousands of retailers with freshly printed press products every day, but also take back a large number of unsold copies.
- the invention is based on the object of designing the aforementioned method for identifying and checking the delivery and return delivery of press products in such a way that it fulfills the demands made without the disadvantages described above occurring.
- the portable reader can be provided with rechargeable batteries, but can also be designed so that a connection to an external battery, for example the battery of the transport vehicle, is possible.
- the method according to the invention ensures that the delivery of the press products takes place smoothly and quickly and that the predetermined sequence is exactly adhered to when the press products are delivered or returned. Failures of vehicles and drivers, traffic-related diversions, changes to the dealer structure due to holidays or new openings, tour rescheduling and the like. Like., Do not therefore affect the timely delivery of the press products.
- GPS systems belong to the state of the art.
- One of these navigation systems is the so-called GPS system (Global Positioning System).
- the GPS system is connected to earth satellites and is able to determine the exact position of a vehicle anytime, anywhere. It is therefore particularly suitable for the present purpose.
- the signals emitted are intentionally distorted at irregular intervals in order to prevent the system from being used to control enemy missiles.
- the size and direction of these manipulated errors are only known to the military.
- the GPS system can therefore only be used for the exact guidance of a vehicle if the aforementioned falsification of the signals is eliminated. Eliminating the adulterated
- signals are possible with appropriate facilities or procedures.
- Coupling navigation is also known. This navigation system requires fixed installations in the vehicle in order to measure the exact distance covered in the respective compass direction.
- the dead reckoning is very complex and its accuracy depends on several factors, such as tire air pressure, disturbances in the earth's magnetic field due to the development and. Like. So that this navigation system for the identification and control of press products packed in containers is only of limited use.
- a fourth navigation system based on inertial navigation is very expensive.
- the GPS navigation system is expediently used for the method according to the invention.
- the reading devices carried by the transport vehicles read the signals of the GPS navigation system and at the same time correct the signals received by this navigation system.
- the correction takes place falsified signals according to the invention in such a way that signals are sent to the navigation system at the shortest possible intervals by means of the coded radio transmitters installed at each destination, which designate the exact geometric location in which the radio transmitter - and thus the vehicle in question - is actually located at that moment .
- the navigation system uses this information to calculate the current error and compensates for the subsequent route.
- the radio transmitter automatically sends the signals relating to the exact geometric location of the vehicle.
- the radio transmitters are formed by batteryless transponders and their operating energy is transmitted wirelessly by the reading devices.
- Such transponders are commercially available.
- the reader and the radio transmitters designed as transponders interact with one another in such a way that the reader transfers voltage to the transponders and reads their code by using an electromagnetic field.
- the code is permanently programmed into each transponder. Because the transponders are battery-free and receive their operating energy from the readers, they are maintenance-free.
- the reader has a non-volatile internal memory and has the function, among other things, of comparing the code number of each transponder with other, previously stored code numbers. This function enables the reader to tell the user whether one or more are searched Transponders are within a larger group.
- the reader can also be designed so that it is able to communicate with an external host computer. This makes it possible to transfer code numbers from the host computer to the readers and vice versa.
- the host computer can control many functions of the reader.
- the reader can also be programmed by the host computer to install new software.
- An advantageous embodiment of the method according to the invention consists in that the portable reading devices carried by the transport vehicles are copied with the respectively valid driving program and other necessary information simultaneously with the charging of their battery.
- a digitized road map is loaded into the portable reading devices carried by the transportation vehicles and the reading devices calculate the exact location of the transportation vehicle in question on the basis of the signals received and on the basis of the digitized road map.
- the geographical location of all destination points and the respective travel route of the transport vehicles are stored in the digital road map and that optical and / or acoustic driving and working instructions are given by the reading device.
- the method according to the invention can be further improved in that when the signals of a radio transmitter are read by means of the reader, the code number of the radio transmitter in question and the time of reading are stored in the memory of the reader. This makes it possible to simultaneously retrieve the coded containers loaded with remitting ends.
- a further improvement of the method according to the invention is achieved in that the sequence of the containers loaded onto the transport vehicle in question is stored by means of a stationary reading device when loading a transport vehicle.
- the unloading of a transport vehicle monitors the correct order of the containers by the reading device and, in the event of a deviation from the stored order, this is indicated optically and / or acoustically by the reading device.
- a signal indicating the end of the unloading process is triggered.
- the containers are sequentially suspended on a roller conveyor like a string of pearls, with both empty and already filled containers on the roller conveyor.
- empty panniers are hung in short running rails and several running rails in flat roll containers for filling the press products, which can be stacked on top of one another. This enables the internal transport from the remission department to the shipping department with high packing density.
- the containers for filling, either individual containers or a plurality of containers located in an inclined container roll into another, empty container, the containers passing through a packing device.
- the entire running track can also be pushed from one container to another, empty container. After each pannier has been filled, the running rail is moved a distance corresponding to the width of the pannier.
- a packing device is expediently provided at both ends of each order-picking route.
- Branches are provided within the conveyor line, which enable both the merging of the packet streams and a division into several branches. This can be achieved by means of known conveyor systems which ensure that the order of the packages on the transport vehicle is correctly observed.
- the containers pass through devices during in-house transport which enable re-commissioning by means of computer-controlled displays. This is expediently carried out immediately before loading the panniers into the transport vehicles.
- Another feature of the invention is that the exact number sequence of the filled containers as well as the numbers of the radio transmitters installed at the destination points and their exact geographical position are stored in the portable reading devices.
- the exact number sequence of the radio transmitters of the filled containers already delivered to the dealers is advantageously stored in the portable reading devices.
- Panniers returned by the dealer are emptied in the remission department.
- a deposit system is maintained on a host computer by recording the delivery and return dates of each container, the remittances are credited and the duration of the pannier is charged to the dealer via the deposit system. Losses are avoided by this time-based load.
- An expedient training of a device for identifying and controlling the delivery and return delivery of unsorted packaged press products, with means for carrying out the method according to the invention consists in the fact that the means contain containers designed as flexible panniers, which are equipped with a coded radio transmitters are equipped.
- the panniers are made of pliable, lightweight material.
- the coded radio transmitters are attached to the panniers. It is particularly useful that the coded radio transmitters are part of the handle or the closure of the panniers.
- the containers designed as packing bags have a triangular cross section and the filling opening has a rectangular cross section. This enables the packing bags to be filled with small and large stacks, from paperbacks to daily newspapers, as well as other goods sold by the press trade.
- the closing of the panniers can be carried out particularly easily and quickly in that the filling opening of the containers designed as panniers is enclosed by a cord which is freely movable in the eyes or peripheral seams provided on the container. This enables the containers to be closed by pulling the cord in a single access.
- handles or rolling elements are arranged on the upper rear edge of the filling opening of the containers designed as panniers, which are movable in rails or integrated in rails.
- the movement of the panniers in order to transport them into the transport vehicle after filling can take place both by gravity and by motor drive.
- the invention therefore provides that either the tracks are arranged inclined or that the running rails are connected to a drive device.
- a plurality of running rails are arranged side by side and / or one above the other.
- the destination points of the delivery which are provided with a coded radio transmitter, are formed by the dealers' storage boxes.
- the transport vehicle 1 shown in Fig. 1 is loaded with several containers 2 with press products. Each container 2 is provided with a coded radio transmitter 3. Behind the windshield of the transport vehicle 1 there is a portable reading device 4 which receives signals from satellites 5. From these signals, the portable reading device 4 calculates its current position, and thus the current position of the transport vehicle 1, but with a system-related inaccuracy.
- the batteries of the portable reading devices 4 are charged in a charging station 6. When charging the batteries of the reading devices 4, the respectively valid driving program is simultaneously dubbed.
- the charging station 6 is connected to a host computer 7, which in turn is connected to displays 8, a return detection 9 and stationary reading devices 10. Furthermore, the host computer 7 is connected via a control computer 11 to a control computer 12 at the end of the picking section 13.
- the containers 2 are unloaded from the transport vehicle 1 and placed in the storage box 15 of the dealer.
- the containers 2 'located in the storage box 15 are taken along with returns.
- a check is carried out by means of a radio transmitter 3 attached to the storage box 15 in cooperation with the portable reader 4 carried in the transport vehicle 1, which can be removed from the transport vehicle 1 by the driver of the transport vehicle 1 for this purpose.
- the containers 2 'with returns returned by the transport vehicle 1 become the returns recording 9 fed.
- the container 2 shows an example of the internal transport of the press products at a wholesaler.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a method for identifying and checking the delivery and return delivery of press products such as books, magazines, newspapers and the like. Like., between publishers and wholesalers on the one hand and between wholesalers and dealers on the other hand, the delivery and return delivery from the starting point (publisher or wholesaler) to the destination (wholesaler or dealer) takes place by means of transport vehicles. The invention further relates to devices for performing the method.
A peculiarity of the industry concerned with the distribution of press products, the so-called press wholesaler, is that it is the only branch of industry that on the one hand grants a full right of remission and on the other hand has considerable freedom of disposition. The wholesaler determines what new goods each dealer receives, debits them and issues a credit for the returned copies. The press wholesalers therefore not only supply thousands of retailers with freshly printed press products every day, but also take back a large number of unsold copies.
- Printing of the press products by the publisher.
- Packaging of the press products.
- Delivery of the press products from the publisher to the wholesaler.
- Unpack the press products from the wholesaler.
- Split each title among the individual dealers.
- Pack the press products in handy packages.
- Loading vehicles to supply dealers.
- Delivery of the press products to the individual dealers in a predetermined order.
- Unloading the press products and storing them in the dealer box.
- Invite the merchant's return packages.
- Return and unloading of the end package at the wholesaler.
- Press products come too late from the publisher.
- The delivered press products are not correct according to quantity or weight.
- There are delays because the drivers, for example replacement drivers, do not know the route to the dealers or do not know it well enough.
- Machines for strapping the packages of press products fail.
- The press products are damaged by weather conditions.
- The packing sequence of the packages of press products loaded into the vehicle is incorrect.
- The laces tear when a package of press products is carried.
- The press products are misdirected because delivery notes are difficult to read in the dark.
- Packages of press products are confused.
- Individual packages of press products are forgotten and only discovered after the vehicle has returned
- Remitted ends are exchanged and credited to the wrong trader.
There is also a risk of theft in the case of unsecured storage for the press products at the dealers. Another disadvantage of the current return delivery of press products is that the laces and the packing material of the remittents have to be disposed of.
The breakdowns described can put a considerable strain on the relationship of trust between the wholesalers and the dealers. There is therefore a need for complete control in the delivery and return delivery of the press products.
In addition, the usual disposable packaging of press products is no longer up to date. Since about a third of the press products are returned, there is a considerable effort involved in the daily return and return shipment, the press products being perishable goods of high value. Action is therefore also required in this regard.
Many attempts have been made to solve the problems described above. However, none of these attempts has led to a satisfactory result.
One of the aforementioned attempts is to use the well-known barcode, which is printed on the delivery note or the packing slip, to identify and check press products packed in containers when they are delivered or returned. Reading errors are very common due to the fact that the packed containers are tied with black laces, and because the delivery notes or packing slips are dirty and / or torn. Even magnetic stripes have not yet proven themselves for this application.
- The containers must be suitable for all formats, from paperbacks to daily newspapers.
- The contents of the packed containers must be able to vary from a single copy to 12 kg of different press products.
- The filling and emptying of the containers must be easy to do.
- The containers must be weatherproof.
- The empty weight of the containers must be less than 250 grams.
- The empty volume of the containers must be as small as possible, since retailers often have little space.
- The containers must have a long service life.
- The containers must be gentle on the goods.
- The containers should be as unattractive as possible for other uses.
- The containers must be deposit system compatible.
- The containers must be clearly identified.
- The containers must be easy to clean (washable).
- The containers must allow late press products to be refilled.
- The containers must be able to run in automatic conveyor systems.
- The containers have to be inexpensive.
- The containers must also be portable for women.
- The containers must guarantee tamper evidence.
The invention is based on the object of designing the aforementioned method for identifying and checking the delivery and return delivery of press products in such a way that it fulfills the demands made without the disadvantages described above occurring.
- that the press products are packaged unsorted in containers provided with coded radio transmitters,
- that a coded radio transmitter is installed at each delivery destination,
- that each transport vehicle carries at least one portable reader provided with a computer, which reads and evaluates the signals sent by the radio transmitters and the signals from a navigation system
- and that the portable reader emits optical and / or acoustic signals based on the evaluation of the received signals.
The portable reader can be provided with rechargeable batteries, but can also be designed so that a connection to an external battery, for example the battery of the transport vehicle, is possible.
The method according to the invention ensures that the delivery of the press products takes place smoothly and quickly and that the predetermined sequence is exactly adhered to when the press products are delivered or returned. Failures of vehicles and drivers, traffic-related diversions, changes to the dealer structure due to holidays or new openings, tour rescheduling and the like. Like., Do not therefore affect the timely delivery of the press products.
Navigation systems belong to the state of the art. One of these navigation systems is the so-called GPS system (Global Positioning System). The GPS system is connected to earth satellites and is able to determine the exact position of a vehicle anytime, anywhere. It is therefore particularly suitable for the present purpose. However, in this navigation system, the signals emitted are intentionally distorted at irregular intervals in order to prevent the system from being used to control enemy missiles. The size and direction of these manipulated errors are only known to the military. The GPS system can therefore only be used for the exact guidance of a vehicle if the aforementioned falsification of the signals is eliminated. Eliminating the adulterated However, signals are possible with appropriate facilities or procedures.
Coupling navigation is also known. This navigation system requires fixed installations in the vehicle in order to measure the exact distance covered in the respective compass direction. The dead reckoning is very complex and its accuracy depends on several factors, such as tire air pressure, disturbances in the earth's magnetic field due to the development and. Like. So that this navigation system for the identification and control of press products packed in containers is only of limited use.
Another known navigation system, the extraterristic bearing of stars, can only be used to a limited extent. This navigation system is too complex for the layperson and can also only be used when the sky is clear.
A fourth navigation system based on inertial navigation is very expensive.
The GPS navigation system is expediently used for the method according to the invention. In an embodiment of the invention it is therefore proposed that the reading devices carried by the transport vehicles read the signals of the GPS navigation system and at the same time correct the signals received by this navigation system.
Since an intelligent computer which is able to ascertain and compensate for the above-described distorted current signals of the GPS system causes considerable costs, the correction takes place falsified signals according to the invention in such a way that signals are sent to the navigation system at the shortest possible intervals by means of the coded radio transmitters installed at each destination, which designate the exact geometric location in which the radio transmitter - and thus the vehicle in question - is actually located at that moment . The navigation system uses this information to calculate the current error and compensates for the subsequent route.
So that no errors can occur due to human inadequacies, for example by forgetting or incorrect input, the radio transmitter automatically sends the signals relating to the exact geometric location of the vehicle.
In a further embodiment of the invention, the radio transmitters are formed by batteryless transponders and their operating energy is transmitted wirelessly by the reading devices. Such transponders are commercially available.
The reader and the radio transmitters designed as transponders interact with one another in such a way that the reader transfers voltage to the transponders and reads their code by using an electromagnetic field. The code is permanently programmed into each transponder. Because the transponders are battery-free and receive their operating energy from the readers, they are maintenance-free. The reader has a non-volatile internal memory and has the function, among other things, of comparing the code number of each transponder with other, previously stored code numbers. This function enables the reader to tell the user whether one or more are searched Transponders are within a larger group.
The reader can also be designed so that it is able to communicate with an external host computer. This makes it possible to transfer code numbers from the host computer to the readers and vice versa. In addition, the host computer can control many functions of the reader. The reader can also be programmed by the host computer to install new software.
An advantageous embodiment of the method according to the invention consists in that the portable reading devices carried by the transport vehicles are copied with the respectively valid driving program and other necessary information simultaneously with the charging of their battery.
According to a further feature of the invention, a digitized road map is loaded into the portable reading devices carried by the transportation vehicles and the reading devices calculate the exact location of the transportation vehicle in question on the basis of the signals received and on the basis of the digitized road map.
It has proven to be particularly expedient that the geographical location of all destination points and the respective travel route of the transport vehicles are stored in the digital road map and that optical and / or acoustic driving and working instructions are given by the reading device.
So that drivers without local language skills as well as drivers with no local knowledge can be used, automatic speech generation and speech output are stored in the portable reading devices and several speech modules for the acoustic driving and work instructions are integrated. Because of the limited scope of the vocabulary required for the acoustic driving and working instructions, practically speech modules for any language can be integrated into the portable reading device.
The method according to the invention can be further improved in that when the signals of a radio transmitter are read by means of the reader, the code number of the radio transmitter in question and the time of reading are stored in the memory of the reader. This makes it possible to simultaneously retrieve the coded containers loaded with remitting ends.
A further improvement of the method according to the invention is achieved in that the sequence of the containers loaded onto the transport vehicle in question is stored by means of a stationary reading device when loading a transport vehicle.
In order to avoid errors in the unloading of a transport vehicle, the unloading of a transport vehicle monitors the correct order of the containers by the reading device and, in the event of a deviation from the stored order, this is indicated optically and / or acoustically by the reading device.
In a particularly advantageous embodiment of the method according to the invention, when the last container of each target point is unloaded from the transport vehicle by the reading device, a signal indicating the end of the unloading process is triggered.
For internal transport, the containers are sequentially suspended on a roller conveyor like a string of pearls, with both empty and already filled containers on the roller conveyor.
In another embodiment, empty panniers are hung in short running rails and several running rails in flat roll containers for filling the press products, which can be stacked on top of one another. This enables the internal transport from the remission department to the shipping department with high packing density.
According to a further step of the invention, for filling, either individual containers or a plurality of containers located in an inclined container roll into another, empty container, the containers passing through a packing device. However, the entire running track can also be pushed from one container to another, empty container. After each pannier has been filled, the running rail is moved a distance corresponding to the width of the pannier.
A packing device is expediently provided at both ends of each order-picking route.
Branches are provided within the conveyor line, which enable both the merging of the packet streams and a division into several branches. This can be achieved by means of known conveyor systems which ensure that the order of the packages on the transport vehicle is correctly observed.
In order to ensure that late-coming goods and full bales can still be filled into the respective containers, in a further development of the invention, the containers pass through devices during in-house transport which enable re-commissioning by means of computer-controlled displays. This is expediently carried out immediately before loading the panniers into the transport vehicles.
Another feature of the invention is that the exact number sequence of the filled containers as well as the numbers of the radio transmitters installed at the destination points and their exact geographical position are stored in the portable reading devices.
The exact number sequence of the radio transmitters of the filled containers already delivered to the dealers is advantageously stored in the portable reading devices.
Panniers returned by the dealer are emptied in the remission department. As a deposit system is maintained on a host computer by recording the delivery and return dates of each container, the remittances are credited and the duration of the pannier is charged to the dealer via the deposit system. Losses are avoided by this time-based load.
An expedient training of a device for identifying and controlling the delivery and return delivery of unsorted packaged press products, with means for carrying out the method according to the invention, consists in the fact that the means contain containers designed as flexible panniers, which are equipped with a coded radio transmitters are equipped. The panniers are made of pliable, lightweight material.
The coded radio transmitters are attached to the panniers. It is particularly useful that the coded radio transmitters are part of the handle or the closure of the panniers.
So that the packing bags can be filled in a manner that is gentle on the goods, the containers designed as packing bags have a triangular cross section and the filling opening has a rectangular cross section. This enables the packing bags to be filled with small and large stacks, from paperbacks to daily newspapers, as well as other goods sold by the press trade.
The closing of the panniers can be carried out particularly easily and quickly in that the filling opening of the containers designed as panniers is enclosed by a cord which is freely movable in the eyes or peripheral seams provided on the container. This enables the containers to be closed by pulling the cord in a single access.
So that the containers can run in a rail system, handles or rolling elements are arranged on the upper rear edge of the filling opening of the containers designed as panniers, which are movable in rails or integrated in rails.
The movement of the panniers in order to transport them into the transport vehicle after filling can take place both by gravity and by motor drive. The invention therefore provides that either the tracks are arranged inclined or that the running rails are connected to a drive device.
In order to be able to make particularly good use of the loading space present in the transport vehicle, a plurality of running rails are arranged side by side and / or one above the other.
So that the storage of the press products at the respective destination - that is, at the dealership - can be handled without any problems, the destination points of the delivery, which are provided with a coded radio transmitter, are formed by the dealers' storage boxes.

The transport vehicle 1 shown in Fig. 1 is loaded with
Über weitere Rollenbahnen 20 werden die mit Presseerzeugnissen gefüllten Behälter 2 dann in die Transportfahrzeuge 1 verladen.2 shows an example of the internal transport of the press products at a wholesaler.
