Abstract

The sunshade has a stand (2) on the mast (6) of which is guided an extendable and retractable jib (10). The outer end (12) of the jib (10) supports a shade (14). In addition, a strut (18) is articulated between the jib (10) and the top of the mast (6). The inner end (8) of the jib is moved along the mast by means of a jib drive (20). The shade (14) is opened and closed by means of a shade drive (24). To improve its kink and torsional stability, the mast has a closed hollow cross-section containing spaced guide tracks on the outer side facing the jib (10) in which guide components of the inner end (8) of the jib (10) engage and are positively held transversely to the direction of movement.

Description

StandschirmStanding umbrella
The invention relates to a standing umbrella according to the preamble of claims 1 and / or 8.
A parachute of the type mentioned is known for example from EP-PS 0 387 965. In the case of this standing umbrella, the inner end of an extendable and retractable boom is guided through a long slot in the mast and connected to a drive device which consists of a rotating element which is driven by means of a hand crank drive. A traction element or a traction cable is used to open the screen, which is firmly connected to the mast at the inner end facing the mast. From there, the traction element runs to and through the hollow arm up to its outer end, where the traction element is deflected against an upper hollow umbrella stick. The traction element is connected at its outer end to a further lower umbrella stick, at the lower end of which support struts are articulated, which in turn are articulated to roof poles which are articulated to a crown in the upper region of the upper umbrella stick. When the boom is extended by pushing up the inner end of the boom, the traction element is automatically pulled against the mast, as a result of which the lower part of the umbrella stick extends telescopically into the upper part of the umbrella stick and the umbrella is opened. The lower part of the umbrella stick then reaches above the crown in the area of an articulated connection between the upper umbrella stick and the extension arm and thereby locks this joint connection. This parachute has the disadvantages that the mast is weakened by the long guide slot, which reduces its bending and torsional rigidity, so that on the one hand there is a risk of kinking and on the other hand there is a risk of twisting due to wind loads. In addition, the pulling element for opening and closing the screen is freely accessible on the outside of the mast, so that it is exposed to the risk of damage. In addition, an inclination of the screen by adjusting the arm is not possible since the arm must always be fully extended to open the screen.
The object of the invention is to further improve a parachute of the type mentioned.
The object is achieved according to the invention by the characterizing features of claims 1 and / or 8.
The transverse rigidity of the boom on the mast is improved by the two profiled guideways for the guide elements arranged at a distance from one another, which are arranged at a distance from one another, so that the boom and thus also the parachute are more resistant to wind loads.
The combination of the boom drive device for displacing the inner end of the boom and the screen drive device provides an improved and more reliable drive of the umbrella, which still allows various design options.
The solution according to claim 1 and in the embodiment with the features of the dependent claims 2 to 7 and the solution according to claim 8 and in the embodiment with the features a- The dependent claims 9 to 17 are important both individually and in combination with one another.
Advantageous embodiments of the parachute are described in claims 2 to 7 and 9 to 17.
Letzteres ist zum Schutz der Bauteile und/oder aus ästhetischen Gründen von VorteilThe mast can consist of a full profile, but the embodiment according to claim 2 is more advantageous. The closed hollow cross-section not only provides good bending and torsional rigidity, but in addition to saving weight, also leads to the possibility of drive and / or control elements within the mast to accommodate. The latter is advantageous for protecting the components and / or for aesthetic reasons
There are many different options for the design of the guideways. For example, the guideways can be open roller or slideways, on which the guiding elements are held with a sleeve encompassing the mast. Dovetail guides are also possible. However, an embodiment according to claim 3 is particularly preferred.
Various profile shapes are also possible for the configuration of the hollow profile cross section of the mast, for example a round profile with flattened portions on the guideways or a polygonal profile, the configuration according to claim 4 being particularly preferred.
In its simplest form, the inner end of the boom can directly carry a guide element, but an embodiment according to claim 5 is more advantageous, as a result of which the stability and the guiding properties of the boom on the mast are improved. There are various possibilities for the design of the drive devices. Claim 6 describes a particularly simple design of the boom drive device which, on the one hand, weakens the mast cross-section as little as possible and, on the other hand, gives the circulating member optimum protection.
A design according to claim 7 is also particularly advantageous, since the mast can be tilted backwards so that the arrangement can be made such that the center of gravity of the closed screen comes above the anchoring area of the mast on the ground. This has the advantage that the tilting moment of the parachute in the closed state is as small as possible. In addition, the placement of the umbrella against the mast is supported, thus preventing the closed umbrella from falling apart. The inclined position of the mast also improves the appearance of the parachute both in the closed and open state and conceals any bending of the mast when the parasol is open.
The umbrella drive device can be equipped with its own drive, for example its own hand crank or its own motor, but the embodiment according to the invention is advantageous, according to which the umbrella drive device is combined with the boom drive device.
An expedient embodiment of the boom drive device describes claim 9 and its particularly advantageous development is described in claim 10. Depending on the pitch of the thread, the necessary drive forces can be optimally adjusted on the one hand and / or the thread can self-lock on the other hand, so that brakes and the like can be dispensed with. There are various possibilities for the design of the umbrella drive device. A particularly advantageous embodiment is described in claim 11, which on the one hand enables optically non-disturbing and on the other hand protects the traction element against damage. The traction element can be coupled directly to the circulating element or indirectly, for example, by being connected to a drive member common to the circulating element and the traction element.
The claim 13 describes a preferred development of the parachute, which makes it possible to adjust the boom when the umbrella is open, thereby changing the position of the umbrella, for example adapting to changing positions of the sun. An advantageous embodiment of the device for releasably locking the tension member is described in claim 14.
A further development of the stand screen according to claim 15, which improves the opening and tensioning of the screen, is particularly advantageous. A particularly simple solution of the compensation device is contained in claim 16.
There are various possibilities for swiveling arrangement and locking of the umbrella at the outer end of the bracket. Claim 17 describes a particularly simple solution variant.

The stand screen shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 in overall view and in FIGS. 3 to 7 in detail has a stand. 2, which contains a mast 6 which can be anchored directly or indirectly in the floor 4. The mast is preferably inclined to the rear by 7 ° in such a way that the center of gravity of the closed standing umbrella according to FIG. The inner end 8 of a boom 10 is supported on the mast 6, the outer end 12 of which supports a screen 14. Between the boom 10 and the upper end 16 of the mast 6, a connecting strut 18 is in each case articulated. A boom drive device 20 arranged in the mast 6 is connected to a guide element 22 at the inner end 8 of the boom 10 in order to move this end up and down along the mast in order to extend the boom into the one shown in FIG. 1 ¬ rene position and on the other hand to move into the retracted position in Figure 2 and any intermediate positions. These movements, like opening and closing the umbrella, are possible without hindrance from tables and chairs.
The standing umbrella also contains an umbrella drive device 24, which has a pulling element 26, the inner end 28 of which ends within the mast 6. From there, the traction element 26 runs via a deflection element 30 at the upper end of the mast 6 in and through the connecting strut 18 (FIG. 3), further via a deflection element 32 on the joint 34 between the connecting strut 18 and the bracket 10 (FIG. 6) in the latter and by the boom 10 to the front end of the same. Another deflection member 36 guides the pulling member 26 through the interior of a hollow umbrella stick 38 to a mandrel 40, which is arranged below the umbrella stick 38, as can be seen in particular from FIG. The mandrel 40 carries a rosette 42, on which support struts 44 are articulated, which in turn are connected in an articulated manner to roof bars 46, which are articulated at their inner end to a crown 48 which is fastened in the upper region of the umbrella pole 38. The roof poles 46 carry a roof skin 50 of the screen. The Umbrella stick 38 is pivotally mounted above crown 48 on a pivot axis 52 arranged eccentrically with respect to boom 10, the shield stick being extended approximately by the eccentricity e of pivot axis 52 to boom axis 54 and carrying a deflection roller 56 at its upper end, via which the tension member 26 is performed. The boom 10 itself also carries a deflection roller 58 over which the traction element 26 runs. Both deflection rollers 56, 58 together form the above-mentioned deflection member 36. When the tension member 26 is released, the screen assumes the folded position shown in FIG. When the pulling element 26 is tightened, the mandrel 40 moves against the lower end of the umbrella pole 38 and stands there, as a result of which the support struts 44 spread the roof rods 46 into the open position of the umbrella and, at the same time, the umbrella pole 38 is pivoted about the pivot axis 52 until the upper end of the umbrella stick 38 abuts the boom 10 and is held there by a tension in the tension member. The position of the screen 14 with respect to the stand 2 can be adjusted by means of an adjusting screw 60.
Figures 3 to 5 show details of the hollow profile of the mast 6 and the support and drive of the inner end 8 of the boom 10 on the mast 6. The mast 6 has a closed hollow profile 62 with a square cross-section. On one side of the hollow profile there are two guide tracks 64, 66 arranged at a distance d from one another, in which guide elements 22 engage. Each guide track 64, 66 contains guide grooves 64a, 64b or 66a, 66b, which are oriented in the guide plane and transversely to the guide direction and point towards one another or from one another. In the present case, the guide elements consist of guide rollers 68a, 68b or 70a, 70b, which are arranged one behind the other in the guide tracks 64, 66 and are mounted on a guide carriage 72 which has two cheeks 74, 76 between which the inner end 8 of the boom 10 is pivotally mounted on a pin 78. The guide carriage 72 has a first foot part 80a for receiving the guide rollers 68a and 70a and a second foot part 80b for receiving the further guide rollers 68b and 70b, the foot parts 80a, 80b being connected to one another via a set screw 82 which is used to tension the later orbital drive 84 of the boom drive device 20 described.
The boom drive device 20 contains the already mentioned rotating element 84, which is connected with outer ends 86a, 86b to the foot parts 80a and 80b of the guide carriage 72. The revolving element 84, which in the present case is a revolving rope, for example, is guided in a guide track 66 along the mast and reaches the interior of the mast 6 via an upper deflecting roller 88 and through opening 90. At the lower end, the deflection takes place analogously by means of a deflecting roller 92 and a further through opening 94 in the cross section of the mast. The inner ends 86a, 86b of the circumferential element 84 are fixed to a threaded nut 98 which is arranged on a spindle 100. The spindle is driven by an electric motor 104 connected via a braking device 101, such as a centrifugal brake (not shown in more detail) and a transmission 102. Such a drive unit is described in more detail in WO 92/14377. The thread of the spindle 100 and / or the gear 102 can also be designed such that they are self-locking, so that a braking device is not required. Instead of or in addition to the electric motor 104, the boom drive device can also be equipped with a removable hand crank 106. The umbrella drive device 24 and the boom drive device 20 are combined with one another, so that when the boom drive device 20 is actuated, the umbrella drive device 24 is also actuated, which means that when the boom 10 is extended, the umbrella 14 opens at the same time the screen 14 is closed at the same time as the boom 10 is retracted. The drives are combined in such a way that the inner end 28 of the pulling element 26 is connected via a driver device 108 to the threaded nut 98, to which the rotating element 84 of the boom drive device 20 is also connected.
Das Umlauforgan 110 ist auch an der unteren Umlenkrolle 118 über eine Durchgangsöffnung 114 nach aussen geführt.FIG. 8 shows details of a cantilever drive device 20a and a screen drive device 24a of a further screen in a cutout, identical features being provided with the same reference numerals with the previous exemplary embodiment. The boom drive device 20a in turn contains a revolving element 110 in the form of a chain, which is guided on the upper mast part around a deflection roller 112 and a passage opening 114 on the outside of the mast 6 and is fastened to the guide carriage 72 by means of the ends 116a and 116b. A lower deflection roller 118 is designed as a gearwheel with built-in braking device 119 and at the same time serves as a drive roller which can be driven, for example, by a hand crank 120. The circulating element 110 is also guided to the outside on the lower deflecting roller 118 via a through opening 114.
A pulling element 122 of the umbrella drive device 24a is directly coupled to the rotating element 110 via a driver device 124. The umbrella drive device 24a also has a releasable locking device 126 which allows the pulling element to be uncoupled from the rotating element 110 when the umbrella is open. For this purpose, the traction element 122 contains on its inner end of a stop 128 which is in contact with the entraining device 124 on the side facing away from the screen. The tension member itself is slidably guided in a bore 130 of the driver device 124. The stop is extended downward and carries at its end facing away from the screen a locking member 132 which can be fixed with an insertable bolt 133 arranged on the mast. The bolt 133 consists of a plate arranged in the interior of the mast 6, which contains elongated holes 134, through which screw bolts 135 grip, which hold the bolt or the plate slidably on a carrier 136 of the mast 6. The bolt contains a fork-like part 137 which, when the bolt 133 is pushed in, releases the passage of the locking member 132 and locks the locking member in the extended locking position shown in FIGS. 8 and 9. An oblique run-up surface 138 in the region of the fork-like part 137 of the bolt 133 serves to push the bolt 133 back into the release. The locking member 132 can thus displace the bolt 133 from the locked position into the release position when the screen is opened via the run-up surface 138 and thereby clear the passage into its locking position. A handle 139 which extends to the outside of the mast serves to move the bolt 133 and thus to lock or release the locking member 132. To lock the open screen, the bolt 133 on the mast 6 is brought into the locking position and engages behind the locking member 132 with its fork-like part 137, so that when the rotating member 110 is moved by means of the hand crank 120, the stop 128 is released from the driving device 124 and the driving device 124 slides over the pulling member 122 by means of the bore 130. As a result, the inner end 8 of the arm 10 can be moved without the screen closing, which also changes the position of the screen and can be adapted, for example, to a flatter solar radiation. The shield of FIGS. 8 and 9 is further equipped with a compensation device 140 in order to compensate for changes in tension or length of the tension element 122 as a result of the changing loop lengths on the deflection rollers, in particular on the deflection roller 32 of the joint 34 Compensate angular positions of the boom 10. The compensation device 140 is formed by a roller system which is arranged in the articulation area of the connecting strut 142 on a pivot axis 146 at the upper end of the mast 106. For this purpose, the pivot axis 146 carries a deflection roller 148 to which auxiliary rollers 150, 152 are assigned. The first auxiliary roller 150 is arranged on the mast 6 and directs the pulling element 122 onto the underside of the deflecting roller 148, so that it is wrapped around from below, the second auxiliary roller 152 being arranged on the connecting strut 142 and the pulling element from the underside of the deflecting roller 148 Deflected interior of the connecting strut. With this arrangement, the wrap angle of the tension element 122 on the deflection roller 148 increases with increasing spreading of the arm 10, so that changes in length of the tension element, which are given by reduced wrap angles on the other deflection rollers, are compensated for. When the boom is pivoted in, the wrap of the tension member 122 on the deflection roller 148 is reduced and thus releases lengths of the tension member which are required for the increasing wrap on the further deflection rollers on the boom. In the present case, the diameter of the deflecting roller 148 is selected such that the change in looping distance is the same as the change in the looping distance on the deflecting roller 32 of the joint 34, with which the connecting link 142 is connected to the bracket 10.
