Device for test sheet removal at a delivery of a printing press with a delivery pile (2) for printed sheets (6), front edge stops (8) arranged on this parallel to a front edge of the delivery pile (2) formed in the running direction by the printed sheets (6), furthermore with sheet hold-up devices (9) arranged opposite the front edge and directed essentially against the running direction of the printed sheets (6) and with control means for essentially common control of the movement of the front edge stops (9) and sheet hold-up devices(9) wherein at least one nozzle shaped source of compressed air is arranged in front of the front edge of the delivery pile (2) and is directed essentially in the direction towards the delivery pile (2), wherein their air supply can be linked with the control of front edge stops (8) and sheet hold-up devices (9), characterised in that the compressed air source is arranged above the front edge of the delivery pile (2) and in its orientation essentially obliquely downwards in such a fashion that the blown airstream (S) emitted from the compressed air source is directed into the region between the sheet hold-up devices (9) and the upper side of the delivery pile (2) and prior to the pulling of a test sheet (P) forms an air cushion (LP1) above the test sheet (P) and in such a fashion that on lifting up the front edge of the test sheet (P), part of the blown airstream (S) is guided below the test sheet (P) and there forms an air cushion (LP2).
  2. Device according to Claim 1, characterised in that the compressed aix source is constructed as a thin, directable blowing tube (10).
  3. Device according to Claim 1, characterised in that one or several blowing tubes (10) are arranged on the sheet hold-up devices (9) and are directed approximately parallel to their orientation towards a region below the sheet hold-up devices (9).
  4. Process for test sheet removal in a delivery of a printing press
    by introduction of sheet hold-up devices (9) into the region of a delivery pile (2) for partial holding up of printed sheets (6) fed thereto,
    by folding down front edge stops (8) to release the upper pile region of the delivery pile (2), characterised in that
    after the folding down of the front edge stops (8), a stream of blown air (S) is directed on to the region between the sheet hold-up devices (9) and the upper side of the delivery pile (2),
    in such a fashion that the blown airstream (S) prior to the pulling of a test sheet (P) forms an air cushion (LP1) above the test sheet (P) and on lifting the front edge of the test sheet (P), part of the blown airstream (S) is led under the test sheet (P) and there forms an air cushion (LP2).
