A frame for a formwork panel, having four corner elements (10) and hollow sections (15) arranged on said corner elements essentially at right angles to each other, said corner elements together with said hollow sections providing a contact surface (23) for a formwork shell, which surface is arranged in a plane, characterized in that the corner elements (10) on their front surfaces (16) pointing towards the hollow sections (15) have at least sectionally at least two lips (17) arranged in an offset fashion towards the center of the sections, onto which lips the hollow sections (15) can be pushed at least partially, and that the lips (17) and the respective hollow section (15) can be secured to each other.
  2. The frame according to claim 1, characterized in that a top area and a bottom area (13, 12) of the corner element (10) are joined at the corner area thereof to a web (14) which at least sectionally is provided with one lip (17) per hollow section (15).
  3. The frame according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that each lateral surface of the hollow sections (15) is joined to said corner element (10) via at least one lip (17).
  4. The frame according to any of the preceding claims, characterized in that the lips (17) have a length of at least about 1 cm.
  5. The frame according to any of the preceding claims, characterized in that the length of the lips (17) is >1 cm, and that said joining of corner element (10) and hollow sections is effected using adhesive, pinch and/or rivet joints.
  6. The frame according to any of the preceding claims, characterized in that the lips (17) have bevels (20) for easier pushing into the hollow sections (15).
  7. The frame according to any of the preceding claims, characterized in that each one of the exterior walls (11) in the transition section towards the front surfaces (16) has a bevel (19) allowing optimum seam preparation for a weld joint.
  8. The frame according to any of the preceding claims, characterized in that the top area (13) is provided with an inwardly protruding projection (21) and a bore (22) for securing a formwork shell.
  9. The frame according to any of the preceding claims, characterized in that each of the corner elements (10) below a contact surface (24) for an adjacent formwork panel frame has one backwardly offset diagonal surface (26) with a securing opening (27), so that when placing multiple formwork panel frames adjacent to each other, a free space for additional securing of corner elements (10) of different formwork panels is formed.
  10. The frame according to any of the preceding claims, characterized in that the corner elements (10) in corner area between the exterior walls (11) have an additional stiffening (29) for transferring anchor loads.
  11. A process for mounting a frame of a formwork panel, essentially consisting of four corner elements according to claim 1 and four hollow sections, characterized in that the corner elements and the hollow sections initially are put together in the form of a frame, subsequently placed in a right-angled assembly form, and tightly joined to each other, balancing the length tolerances of the hollow sections.
