Abstract

A cyclone for separating dust from a gas such as the intake air to an IC engine has a cylindrical housing (1) with an air inlet and outlet, to which a dust-collecting chamber (5) is attached with a bayonet connector (11). Diese Staubteilchen lagern sich im unteren Bereich 6 des Staubsammelbehälters 5 ab. Die gereinigte Luft wird umgelenkt und strömt gemäß Pfeil 7 in Richtung der Luftaustrittsöffnung 8. In der Luftaustrittsöffnung 8 befinden sich ebenfalls Leitschaufeln 9. Diese kompensieren den Drall bzw. setzen die Drallbewegung in eine Linearbewegung um.
