Abstract
Description
The invention relates to an electrical contact element to be arranged in a chamber of a housing and bent from a flat sheet metal stamping part in insulation displacement technology of a cable plug connection with a pair of double insulation piercing clamps, which forms an insertion slot between its elastically deflectable clamping legs for the insulation displacement contacting of an electrical cable and with a pair of fork springs which are located between its fork spring legs forms an insertion slot for contacting a flat blade connector.
Such an electrical contact element is known for example from EP-PS 0 416 306. This known electrical contact element has at one end a pair of double insulation displacement clamps, between the elastically deflectable clamping legs of which an electrical conductor can be fixed using insulation displacement technology. The other end of the contact element is designed as a pair of fork springs, between which, for example, the contact pin of a plug of an electrical plug connection can be inserted for electrical contacting. In order to ensure reliable contacting between the fork spring legs and the inserted contact pin of a plug, the fork spring legs have contact zones protruding inwards into the insertion slot. These configured as contact areas usually make good contact between the pair of fork springs and an inserted contact pin of a connector, but it can happen, especially when using a flat blade connector, that the contact zones in the mated condition just in the area of the locking hole of the Flat knife plug and therefore no sufficiently safe electrical contact is guaranteed.
Based on this, the object of the invention is to further develop an electrical contact element in such a way that reliable contacting between the fork spring legs and an inserted contact pin of a plug is always guaranteed.
The technical solution to this problem is characterized in that each fork spring leg is formed from two independently elastically deflectable leaf springs and at least one contact zone protruding inwards into the insertion slot is formed on each leaf spring, the contact zones of two leaf springs of a fork spring leg laterally of the longitudinal center line of the electrical contact element are trained.
The design of the fork spring legs in two separately deflectable leaf springs with eccentrically offset contact zones on the one hand ensures that the insertion force of a contact pin to be inserted into the insertion slot between the fork spring legs is reduced and, on the other hand, contact is made in the area when using a flat blade plug provided with a locking hole of the locking hole is avoided since the locking hole of a flat blade connector is formed in the center of a flat blade connector.
According to an advantageous embodiment of the electrical contact element according to the invention, the contact zones of two leaf springs of a fork spring leg are arranged offset to one another in the longitudinal direction of the fork spring leg. This additional staggered arrangement of the contact zones ensures reliable electrical contact between the fork spring legs and a contact pin inserted into the insertion slot even when using a wide variety of contact pins.
According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the security of establishing sufficient electrical contact and in particular also avoiding edge contacts can be increased by the fact that the contact zones of the one leaf spring have a punctiform contact surface and the contact zones of the other leaf spring of the same fork spring leg have a linear contact surface.
In order to achieve a uniform contact pressure of the individual leaf springs of the fork spring legs against an inserted contact pin, the contact zones of two directly opposite leaf springs have the same contact surface shape.

The electrical contact element 1 shown in Fig. 1 consists of a one-piece stamped sheet metal part, from which the electrical contact element 1 is bent by successive bending processes. An electrical contact element 1 is then obtained from the flat sheet metal stamped part, as shown in FIGS. 1 to 3.
In order to be able to contact an electrical cable 2 in so-called insulation displacement technology on the electrical contact element 1, the electrical contact element 1 has two pairs of double
Wie aus Fig. 2 und 3 ersichtlich, besteht jeder Gabelfederschenkel 5a aus zwei getrennten Blattfedern 5c.In order to contact the electrical contact element 1 with the contact pin of a plug of an electrical plug connection, for example a
In order to ensure reliable electrical contact between the
The staggered arrangement of the
With an electrical contact element 1 designed in this way, it is thus possible, on the one hand, to reduce the insertion force for contacting the contact pin of a plug and, on the other hand, to ensure sufficient contact between the
