Definitions
- the invention relates to a roof panel according to the preamble features of claim 1, and a manufacturing method therefor.
- Such a roof panel for cleaning and keeping the building roofs clean for example in the case of fouling or environmental pollution, is known from DE-A-44 13 119, the roof panel being produced from plate-shaped, copper-containing material by punching, so that a chemical compound in connection with the moisture Reaction is caused, which can reverse the growth or contamination of the building roofs, as well as prevent it in the future.
- a bead embossed on the outer edge of the metal roof plate delays the drainage of moisture from rain, snow or fog. This increases the reaction time for loosening copper ions from the metal roof panel, which prevents moss and grass from overgrowing the roof panels.
- the reaction area of moisture and metal roof panel can be increased by forming knobs in a raised shape in the lower half of the metal roof panel, for example by pressing, so that the moisture also reaches the underside of the metal roof panel can and thereby a doubling of the reaction area is achieved.
- a device made of copper for protecting roof coverings and for suppressing moss or lichen growth is also known, the rainwater to dissolve components from copper agents, in order to counteract growth by moss and lichen.
- These copper agents are installed in the visible area of the roof surface in such a way that the rainwater flowing off the copper agents is as large as possible Surface of the roof covering overflows.
- the copper means are designed in the form of ridge hoods, consisting entirely of copper or coated with copper sheet or a copper sheet inserted in the area of the roof ridge.
- metal roof tiles or copper sheets have an increased manufacturing cost, since in the latter case a plumber often has to take care of the professional installation, while in the former case the metal roof tiles also represent a certain price outlay due to the raw material price for copper, especially since the roof tiles Substructure for support is required anyway.
- the painting or painting mentioned in DE-A-41 11 813 is also production-intensive, since special paints are required for such brick materials, which also isolate copper powder through the integration and thus prevent ion exchange.
- the coating makes the plate surface relatively smooth, so that the running speed increases and thus the reaction time is reduced, as well as the appearance of unglazed roof tiles is changed.
- the invention has for its object to provide a roof tile that effectively prevents the disruptive growth of the roof covering by moss and lichen, has the most uniform possible appearance with conventional roof tiles and also has low manufacturing and roofing costs.
- the moisture caused by rain, snow, fog can react with the metal particles and thereby prevent growth of moss and fungus growth with even distribution of moisture over the roof of the building.
- a particularly large active reaction area is formed, since the metal particles have a base area of e.g. B. 1 mm 2 have an active reaction surface of about 5 mm 2 , since the scattered metal particles protrude slightly from broken chips slightly above the brick surface and thus this raised surface of the metal particles serves as a reaction surface.
- This rasp-like reaction surface can be increased in that the underside of the roof tiles is also coated with the metal particle coating, in particular with finely broken copper chips, so that the overlap area between the underside of a roof tile and the roof tile located beneath it, offset by a row of slats, serves as the reaction surface , because the moisture caused by rain or fog also penetrates into it due to wind.
- the finely structured surface thanks to the metal coating, creates a uniform surface Ventilation of the roof reached.
- the metal particle coating also serves as a snow brake, since the metal particles embedded in the brick surface, similar to a coarse rasp, can at least largely slow down the sliding of a layer of snow.
- openings in the form of slits or holes can be provided in the lower region of the roof tile in the water drainage direction, so that water flowing through these openings can reach the underside of the roof tile, the inner peripheral regions of the openings also having a metal particle coating can be provided.
- the activation reaction time is increased when moisture drains away, so that a particularly intensive reaction with the metal particles is achieved, whereby the fouling of the roof covering is reliably prevented, even if only one or a few rows of such a roof panel are provided.
- the metal particle coating has a practically unchanged color structure of the roof tile by sprinkling finely broken copper chips into the soft brick surface even before the roof tile burns, so that such unglazed roof tiles are also suitable for covering listed buildings.
- Such a roof tile can, as described above, be produced by simply sprinkling metal particles onto the still soft, unfired roof tile surface, with short-broken copper chips from metal processing preferably being used as the metal particles and, as a result, in contrast to copper sheets or copper stamped parts, very inexpensive are.
- a roof tile produced in this way can be laid in the usual way, so that no additional plumbing work or the like is required.
- a roof tile 1 is shown in the design as a "beaver tail", a metal particle coating 3 being provided in the lower surface 2 in the water drainage direction in the tile surface.
- This metal particle coating 3 consists of a multiplicity of metal particles 4, 4 'etc., which preferably consist of broken copper chips, which have an average diameter of a few millimeters, preferably approximately 1 to 3 mm.
- the metal particles can be applied to the still soft, unfired brick surface by a simple sprinkler system and then rolled in or stripped off using a pull-off ruler, which results in a slightly non-uniform distribution the metal particles 4, 4 'can result. However, this does not damage the effectiveness of the roof panel 1 in terms of preventing growth.
- the copper chips instead of the copper chips as metal particles 4, 4 ', etc., a relatively fine metal powder can also be used, but the size of the metal particles is selected so that at least a small area of the embedded metal particles 4, 4' from the Brick surface protrudes to provide a large active reaction area for the moisture flowing off on the roof panel 1.
- the underside 5 of the roof panel 1 can also be provided with such a metal particle coating 3.
- openings 6 in the form of slots or holes punched or pressed into the brick blank, the peripheral surface of which is also provided with the metal particle coating 3, can be provided in the region located at the rounding of the beaver tail, that is to say the lower region 2 in the direction of the water drainage. as indicated by the wavy line.
- the moisture flowing away from the roof panel 1 first sweeps over the brick surface, a part of the flowing moisture reaching the openings 6 and then flowing off further on the underside 5 (cf. also FIG. 3).
- the moisture is constantly in contact with the metal particles 4, 4 'which slightly protrude from the surfaces, so that a particularly high cleaning effectiveness is achieved.
- a central web 7 and two edge webs 8 are formed on the top of the roof plate 1, so that a slight, shallow depression 9 is formed therebetween, so that even at relatively high wind speeds, an exact supply of the flowing water to the metal particle coating 3 in the lower Area 2 results.
- Fig. 3 a longitudinal section through such a roof covering is shown, the water drainage first over the lower region 2 of the top and the metal particle coating 3 embedded there, then through the openings 6 to the underside 5, taking place along the entire An intensive reaction with the embedded metal particles 4, 4 ', which comes from the brick surface, protrude similar to a coarse grain sandpaper.
- the proposed metal particle coating is achieved by sprinkling metal particles, in particular short-broken copper chips, onto the still unbaked brick surface in the lower region 2 and / or brick underside 5 and subsequent, conventional firing of the roof tile 1.
- the metal particles can be rolled into the still soft brick surface before firing.
- the at least partial coating of the openings 6 results from the fact that when the metal particles are sprinkled on, these partially fall into the openings 6 and, when subsequently stripped or rolled, metal particles are also embedded laterally on the peripheral surfaces of the openings 6.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a roof panel according to the preamble features of
Such a roof panel for cleaning and keeping the building roofs clean, for example in the case of fouling or environmental pollution, is known from DE-A-44 13 119, the roof panel being produced from plate-shaped, copper-containing material by punching, so that a chemical compound in connection with the moisture Reaction is caused, which can reverse the growth or contamination of the building roofs, as well as prevent it in the future. A bead embossed on the outer edge of the metal roof plate delays the drainage of moisture from rain, snow or fog. This increases the reaction time for loosening copper ions from the metal roof panel, which prevents moss and grass from overgrowing the roof panels. Furthermore, in a preferred embodiment, the reaction area of moisture and metal roof panel can be increased by forming knobs in a raised shape in the lower half of the metal roof panel, for example by pressing, so that the moisture also reaches the underside of the metal roof panel can and thereby a doubling of the reaction area is achieved. These measures ensure that, depending on the size of the building roof surface, a few rows of such metal roof panels are sufficient to achieve the automatic cleaning effect, in particular to suppress moss growth.
From DE-A-41 30 365, a device made of copper for protecting roof coverings and for suppressing moss or lichen growth is also known, the rainwater to dissolve components from copper agents, in order to counteract growth by moss and lichen. These copper agents are installed in the visible area of the roof surface in such a way that the rainwater flowing off the copper agents is as large as possible Surface of the roof covering overflows. The copper means are designed in the form of ridge hoods, consisting entirely of copper or coated with copper sheet or a copper sheet inserted in the area of the roof ridge.
A similar version with copper strips is described in DE-A-41 11 813, where copper can also be applied as a lacquer or paint, in which powder or granules are bound.
In the above-mentioned prior art with the arrangement of copper sheets in the visible area of the roof surface, however, it is disadvantageous that the uniformity of the roof surface is interrupted, at least when the copper plate is in new condition, so that the uniform appearance of the roof surface is disturbed, which some developers or the monument protection authority, especially for historical old buildings, is not accepted. In addition, historical buildings are currently covered with red, unglazed flat clay tiles ("beaver tails"), so that the oxidizing and thus dark brown copper sheet would cause an optical interruption of the uniformly red roof surface.
In addition, such metal roof tiles or copper sheets have an increased manufacturing cost, since in the latter case a plumber often has to take care of the professional installation, while in the former case the metal roof tiles also represent a certain price outlay due to the raw material price for copper, especially since the roof tiles Substructure for support is required anyway.
The painting or painting mentioned in DE-A-41 11 813 is also production-intensive, since special paints are required for such brick materials, which also isolate copper powder through the integration and thus prevent ion exchange. In addition, the coating makes the plate surface relatively smooth, so that the running speed increases and thus the reaction time is reduced, as well as the appearance of unglazed roof tiles is changed.
Accordingly, the invention has for its object to provide a roof tile that effectively prevents the disruptive growth of the roof covering by moss and lichen, has the most uniform possible appearance with conventional roof tiles and also has low manufacturing and roofing costs.
This object is achieved by a roof panel with the features of
Due to the metal particle coating in the lower surface in the water drainage direction in the roof panel, the moisture caused by rain, snow, fog can react with the metal particles and thereby prevent growth of moss and fungus growth with even distribution of moisture over the roof of the building. By embedding the metal particles, in particular fine copper chips, in the brick surface, a particularly large active reaction area is formed, since the metal particles have a base area of e.g. B. 1 mm 2 have an active reaction surface of about 5 mm 2 , since the scattered metal particles protrude slightly from broken chips slightly above the brick surface and thus this raised surface of the metal particles serves as a reaction surface. This rasp-like reaction surface can be increased in that the underside of the roof tiles is also coated with the metal particle coating, in particular with finely broken copper chips, so that the overlap area between the underside of a roof tile and the roof tile located beneath it, offset by a row of slats, serves as the reaction surface , because the moisture caused by rain or fog also penetrates into it due to wind. At the same time, the finely structured surface, thanks to the metal coating, creates a uniform surface Ventilation of the roof reached. Furthermore, the metal particle coating also serves as a snow brake, since the metal particles embedded in the brick surface, similar to a coarse rasp, can at least largely slow down the sliding of a layer of snow.
To further increase the reaction area, openings in the form of slits or holes can be provided in the lower region of the roof tile in the water drainage direction, so that water flowing through these openings can reach the underside of the roof tile, the inner peripheral regions of the openings also having a metal particle coating can be provided. As a result, the activation reaction time is increased when moisture drains away, so that a particularly intensive reaction with the metal particles is achieved, whereby the fouling of the roof covering is reliably prevented, even if only one or a few rows of such a roof panel are provided. In addition, the metal particle coating has a practically unchanged color structure of the roof tile by sprinkling finely broken copper chips into the soft brick surface even before the roof tile burns, so that such unglazed roof tiles are also suitable for covering listed buildings.
Such a roof tile can, as described above, be produced by simply sprinkling metal particles onto the still soft, unfired roof tile surface, with short-broken copper chips from metal processing preferably being used as the metal particles and, as a result, in contrast to copper sheets or copper stamped parts, very inexpensive are. In addition, a roof tile produced in this way can be laid in the usual way, so that no additional plumbing work or the like is required.
Further advantageous embodiments result from the subclaims.

In Fig. 1, a
It should be noted that instead of the copper chips as
In Fig. 3, a longitudinal section through such a roof covering is shown, the water drainage first over the
As indicated above, the proposed metal particle coating is achieved by sprinkling metal particles, in particular short-broken copper chips, onto the still unbaked brick surface in the
Under roof tiles or tile surface are also concrete tiles or concrete roof tiles such. B. to understand the so-called "Frankfurt pan", where due to the arched cross-sectional shape provided there and little coverage, a metal particle scattering or coating can also be provided on the entire top of the plate. In the case of concrete slabs, the scattering and / or rolling in takes place in the uncured state of the shaped roof slab blank.
