Claims (21)

  1. Method of shifting a work scaffolding (1) which is divisible approximately in the centre, which is suspended from a bridge (4) and is movable in the longitudinal direction of the bridge (4) around a bridge pillar (6), in which the work scaffolding (1) is pivotable downwards via cables (10) or the like, characterised in that, after separation of the work scaffolding (1) into two parts (2, 3), the ends (13, 14) adjacent to the point of separation of the work scaffolding (1) are lowered via cables (10) extending to the opposite longitudinal edge (15) of the bridge (4), while they are pivoted around the outer ends (16, 17), until they are suspended more on the outer ends (16, 17), in that the cables (10) are released from the work scaffolding (1), in that the parts (2, 3) are then moved past the bridge pillar (6) in the longitudinal direction of the bridge (4), and in that the cables (10) are again attached to the work scaffolding (1), and finally the parts (2, 3) are again pivoted upwards and connected to one another.
  2. Device for use during inspection and refurbishment of bridges (4), with a work scaffolding (1) which is divisible approximately in the centre into two parts (2, 3), and which is suspended from the bridge (4) and is movable in the longitudinal direction of the bridge (4), the parts (2, 3) being capable of lowering via cables (10) or the like at their separation point (13, 14), characterised in that each part (2, 3) is connected at its separation point (13, 14) to a cable (10) or the like, which extends to the opposite longitudinal edge (15) of the bridge (4).
  3. Device according to claim 2, characterised in that the work scaffolding (1) is suspended at both its ends (16, 17) via cables (9) with cable winches (11) from the bridge (4).
  4. Device according to claim 2 or 3, characterised in that the cables (10) are connected via turning joints with the parts (2, 3) of the work scaffolding (1).
  5. Device according to one of claims 2 to 4, characterised in that the cables (10) extending to the opposite edge (15) of the bridge (4) are connected to cable winches (19).
  6. Device according to one of claims 3 to 5, characterised in that there are provided two carriages (7), which can travel on or next to the roadway on the bridge (4), and from which the work scaffolding (1) is suspended via the cables (9), and is vertically adjustable via the cable winches (11).
  7. Device according to claim 6, characterised in that the carriages (7) have a framework (8) projecting downwards into the area of the work scaffolding (1), and in that the cables (9, 10) are secured to the framework.
  8. Device according to claim 6 or 7, characterised in that the carriages (7) are supported via at least one vertical bearing (40) and one horizontal bearing (41) in the area of the longitudinal edge (15) of the bridge (4), and in that a substantially horizontally-aligned, preferably horizontally-movable boom (42) is provided on the framework portion (8) of the carriages (7) projecting downwards into the area of the work scaffolding (1), said boom projecting under the longitudinal edge (15) of the bridge (4), and the cables (9, 10) being located on the free end (43) thereof.
  9. Device according to claim 8, characterised in that the free end (43) may be positioned under the vertical bearing (40) of the carriage (7).
  10. Device according to one of claims 2 to 9, characterised in that there is provided on one part (2) of the work scaffolding (1) at the separation point (13, 14) at least one connecting bolt (22) which can engage in a bore (21) at the separation point (13, 14) of the opposite part (3), and in that the connecting bolt (22) is secured in the bore (21) by a transverse bolt (26).
  11. Device according to claim 10, characterised in that four connecting bolts (22) are provided, which engage in two respective tubes (20, 21) at the upper and lower runs of the opposite part (2, 3).
  12. Device according to claim 11, characterised in that there are attached to the tubes (20, 21) at the upper runs of the parts (2, 3), holding means (28, 29) with slots (30, 31), which may be connected together by means of a secondary bolt (32).
  13. Device according to one of claims 7 to 12, characterised in that winches (11, 19) are connected by rotary joints to the framework (8) or to the parts (2, 3).
  14. Device according to one of claims 2 to 13, characterised in that there is provided on the work scaffolding (1) a material conveyor (102), by means of which removed material and the like occurring during refurbishment can be carried away.
  15. Device according to claim 14 characterised in that the material conveyor (102) has a trough (103) in which the removed material and the like can be washed away, and in that the material conveyor (102) is inclined with respect to the horizontal.
  16. Device according to claim 14, characterised in that the material conveyor (102) has a conveyor belt or a trough (103) with a scraper conveyor (104) or the like.
  17. Device according to claim 15 or 16, characterised in that a grating (105) is located above the trough (103), preferably in a vertically adjustable manner.
  18. Device according to claim 7 and one of claims 14 to 17, characterised in that the framework (8) projecting downwards into the area of the work scaffolding (1) has at least one container (119) for receiving the removed material and the like, an inlet hopper (123) being preferably provided at the upper edge thereof.
  19. Device according to claim 18, characterised in that the container (119) is divided by a grid (122) into an area (120) for receiving the solid removed material, and an area (121) for receiving the water or the like occurring during refurbishment.
  20. Device according to one of claims 2 to 19, characterised in that there are provided in the area of the upper side of the work scaffolding (1), rails (127, 128), upon which at least one jet (129) for high-pressure water can travel, and the configuration of which is preferably adapted to the shape of the underside of the bridge.
  21. Device according to claim 20, characterised in that a splash guard (130) is provided in the area next to the work scaffolding (1).
